What Language arts curriculum did you choose for your ADHD child?

I was trying to find a video that helped me homeschool while i have anxiety and depression. I am so glad this video had this message. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us and i think i forgot that. I know your family is blessed for this ❤ keep going! I loved this video!!

Thank you for saying this stuff. I needed to hear it. Sometimes I feel like I am not enough and that what I have to give my family is not enough. Hearing that there is another person who has to push themselves and hearing in your voice how hard that is for you at times. Thank you so much for being real :)

Yes! The stickers go into the timeline book. The lapbook is another really cool hands on history approach. It's great for kids who like to color.

Are the black and white pages with the portraits stickers for the timeline? I didn’t get the timeline lapbook last year and kind of regret it!

Family of 6 w/ family member who is mentally disable no extended families to come & help out w/ adhd extra so it can be challenging at times but just keep telling myself tomorrow another day , dnt know how get thru it but know i will. ❤️👍

Did you end up using the Science portion? I have a rising 1st and 3rd grader, and they really wanted to do space science, but the level 5 looks too much for my youngest. Just curious if you felt it was adaptable or was really geared toward the younger years. 🪐

I just love when the kids give their thoughts. My kids join me sometimes and it adds so much plus I feel it's important to hear their perspective. How did it the unit go for everyone?

We’ve tried both and prefer Sonlight. We weren’t fond of Masterbooks worksheets. We do have many of of their history and science books. We enjoyed America’s Story 1 and the God’s Design (textbooks not worksheets) series. We didn’t love the language and math.

Story of the world has a christian bias, for a more secular History curriculum Pandia Press's History Quest, and History Odyssey for the high-school levels is more appropriate - History and Science should be presented in a Secular way.

As for your 4 year old he may not have ADD. Boys are so different and there’s research on that! There’s a book called better later than early! My friend who is a teacher started homeschool her 6 kids. The youngest boy wanted nothing to do with reading and then at 8 when he was ready he took off! Trust the process of homeschooling! That’s the beauty of it! But I wouldn’t be quick to say he’s got add. That age is a lot about movement and hands on. My son was doing handstands and manipulating legos while I read out loud and he was able to tell me what I read:) congrats on taking on homeschooling!☺️

I’ve been looking for a review like this! Thank you. I think this will be perfect for my very, very active 5-year-old this summer/fall. We also tried TGTB pre-k, and had the same results. So good to hear from another mom who had the same results. I loved the curriculum, but it just didn’t jive with her. Hoping this might be a better fit! Thanks again! 😀

Funny. U showed the tree and I instantly knew what animal did that. Fun fact the bears eat the tree for sugar but they also get cavities from the sugar pine. New sub here, and also a home school mama. Can't wait to see more videos from you!

Dyassliea . Is an issues with Numbers. My grandad had it . My mom has it . My two girl cousins. My mom’s side of the family. Have it my half sister. Definitely d’ get it checked out in a couple years.

We were going to use The History of the World, but found that the author uses political bias to color some ancient and modern events. That made us wonder about the rest of the series as well. Thank you for sharing this review.

We have been homeschooling for a few years now and im looking for a new curriculum and am considering MBTP, however, my oldest son is just like your oldest son with the dysgraphia but great at math. What curriculum did end up working for your son for the math and ela?

I think one thing you might benefit from is not throwing the baby out with the bath water. If your son doesn’t like doing a particular part of the curriculum, move on to the next. If he doesn’t want to read a particular book, skip it! Sure MBTP is intended to be integrated, but that doesn’t mean you have to use it that way. This is true for any curriculum. Keep what you love, sell or donate what you don’t 🤣🙏

It looks like it might be a great fit for my son. I have a question that I truly hope no one finds odd. We are Christian. I am not against secular curriculums as long as they don't have the "anti-religon" feel. How is the tone regarding this?

We have been using MBTP for 3 years and my kids love it. We only use the literature part and I truly regret not having found this program earlier. My kids will be doing the one High school level they have now as their very last level and we will truly miss it. It’s a heavy curriculum but it worked very well for us.
