Ultimate Tenor Trombone Comparison: Small-Bore vs Medium-Bore vs Large-Bore
มุมมอง 935 หลายเดือนก่อน
I just got my Reynolds 28 back form the repair shop (the slide is good now!), so I thought I'd make a comparison video of my three tenor trombones. Reynolds 28 / Bach 9 Conn 50H / Schilke 51D King 4BF / Greg Black 5G
Euphonium vs Baritone: What's the Difference?
มุมมอง 625 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video, I explain what the difference is between the baritone and the euphonium. These two instruments are usually used interchangeably, but they are actually very different. I apologize for not being able to show things very well... I don't currently have a euphonium or a baritone!
Colorado All-State Jazz Trombone Etude 2024-2025 (Trombone Section)
มุมมอง 345 หลายเดือนก่อน
Me playing through the trombone section etude for this year's Colorado all-state jazz band audition. This recording is of the trombone section etude (as opposed to the lead trombone etude). My horn is a Reynolds 28, and the mouthpiece I'm using is a Bach 9.
Colorado All-State Band 2024-2025 Trombone G major etude
มุมมอง 355 หลายเดือนก่อน
Me playing through one of the etudes for all state this year. It's definitely not good enough yet, but I still have a couple of months before auditions are due.
Small-Bore Tenor Trombone Mouthpiece Comparison
มุมมอง 365 หลายเดือนก่อน
Me comparing four mouthpieces for my small-bore tenor trombone, which is the horn I use for jazz band. The excerpt I'm playing is just the ending of this year's Colorado All- State Jazz etudes. I will probably make a video eventually of me playing the whole etude.
Lohengrin Excerpt (Trombone 1)
มุมมอง 1475 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is the trombone 1 part from the prelude to act 3 of Wagner's Lohengrin. I learned this for a youth orchestra audition. It definitely needs work, particularly the 16th notes towards the end.
Vox Gabrieli Intro
มุมมอง 636 หลายเดือนก่อน
Me playing the intro to Sulek's Vox Gabrieli... definitely a work in progress.
The only piece of advice from me is to not scoop too much on every note, because a lot of the time it sounds like a dwah sound. So i think it would be better if you made the notes more connected. But great playing!
Thank you for the advice!
I enjoy listening to the softer more melancholy sound of this instrument! Good job.
Thanks, Camden. Sorry I didn't get around to watching sooner.
I like it, great job.
Thanks
Very nice!
Thanks
Nice video Camden, love it. Glad you got the euphonium, such a nice sounding instrument.
Thanks!
Good deal, Camden. You are on the move!
Thanks
Very nice! Love your videos.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it
Thanks Camden. There is no doubt in that you know what you’re talking about. Good job!
Thanks1
Very good, thanks for making this video, Camden.
I hope it was interesting!
You're very knowledgeable, Camden! I learned some new things! 👍🏻 I recognize that clip of you playing the concert baritone! Paris, right? 😊
Thanks! Yep, the baritone clip is from Paris. That's the only time I've ever gotten to try a concert baritone... my school uses only euphoniums. I'm glad I got to try one there!
Me too! 👍🏻
Good job; this is very organized. Sort of a clean version of the first post regarding these instruments!
Thanks! The first version was definitely kind of messy... I'm glad this one is better!
Sounds really great, Camden. Love the video.
Thanks
Sounds very nice, Camden! Like it.
Thank you!
Sounds really great, Camden! Very smooth transitions between notes, if that makes sense!
Thanks!
Nice. I think I liked the 3rd one and 2nd ones best. 3rd one has a lot of meat on the bones, so to speak.
Thanks for the feedback!
Sounds really good!
Thank you!
As an ex-trombone player I can appreciate this; good job!!!
Thanks!
Very nice!
Thanks!
