@@TandT_podcastI like to poke the hornet nest. Besides, the reason they never won those big 4 things is because it makes a spectacle. The win or lose is not about who has the most skill but what would put on the most interesting show. I respect the things these WWE wrestlers can do, but can't we call these for what they are? Muscle soap operas.
I think that if things continue the way they are, Cody is going to lose the title to The Rock or any member of the Bloodline. Winning all 4 PLE would be his destiny, as this feat will solidify his reign as the WWE champion without needing a long reign like Roman's.

It totally would. Although, I don’t think that can happen since SmackDown will still air live on Fridays on USA starting in Oct. Exclusivity from WWE, I’m willing to bet.

I owned WCW World Tour, Revenge & Wrestlemania 2000. By the time No Mercy came out id just left High School, and was too busy for games and Wrestling. Gave my N64 and all my games to my older sister for her kids. They did end up buying No Mercy so I got to play it a few times. Of the 3 games I had, Wrestlemania 2000 was probably the best game mechanically and content wise, but my fondest memories are probably with WCW/NWO Revenge. 4 Controllers with my buddies on weekends never got old and WCW in 97-98 was top of the world.

Huge pop. Though his promo was a bit rambly, if they dropped the Stalker bit after this night, it would have been pretty dope. If he beat Taker at KOTR (not legit, but Taker "beats" himself and DDP capitalizes) it could have legitimized him for the WWE audience and gave Taker a major solo feud for the Invasion angle. Plus look at the crowd when DDP ran up the ramp, natural babyface. Write Taker off for a couple of months then have Rock beat DDP. Then Taker gets his win back. What a shame.

Some of them. Some were still open for trademarking which is why Super Brawl & New Blood Rising were recently copyrighted by WWE.
@TandT_podcast yeah some. Which I like because some of the names I liked when WCW was still around. Sucks that Vince buried a lot of the talent from that company. My favorite from WCW was DDP and he had a HUGE pop being Taker's "stalker" and they didn't let him do anything with him. Such a disappointment

WWE slow burning stories like the dirty dom love triangle, the Wyatt’s and the bloodline has an old school feel to it and has me genuinely excited for wresting again. Good story telling makes great matches legendary

The difference is that ECW had something worth watching. They offered very dramatic alternative, where AEW is just Indy wrestling with a budget

Ya but ECW had guys who actually understood what pro wrestling is actually about. Not the backyard/gymnastics/spot show bs. Company is a joke! Bunch of WWE over the hill mid card guys. Not one authentic mega star other then Mjf.
Well some of the stuff they did was seen in the same light back then as that gymnastic style, if you will. But one thing they definitely knew how to do was build characters.
