Imo revealing the undercover blocks made it obvious that they were using it for signaling… shouldn’t have revealed the stand was fake.

What I like about this is that they break the format on purpose by making Teller the instant stooge. So far I don't think anyone has done that on the show.

At 2:15 the third cup and at 2:25 the second cup just moved a little. The trick was destroyed very quickly. Amateurs. :D

Reminds me of a trick that Penn and Teller did themselves, while proclaiming that the smartest people are the easiest to fool. They brought an Ivy league volunteer on stage, had her sit on a stool while Penn explained he was going to make balls disappear from right in front of her face, while Teller stealthily steps towards the back of the stage. Then he waved his hand with the ball in it, and casually just tossed it above her head, where Teller caught it, she was utterly mystified.

Actually, I would have lost the bet and have to give a trophy. Even without a Teller, I would have guessed there was a second person... except I've seen enough of those Magic Secrets Revealed episodes to know that assistants are always extremely flexible and hide inside tiny boxes. So, for the entire duration that Penn was talking, I was miserable for Kenshin thinking he was inside the left two boxes ("Did I") and when he popped up from the back, I was delighted that, 1) he wasn't suffering lmao and 2) I was fooled!

All these comments and nobody asks: I wanna see the version of the trick where you use the pineapple.
