This video explains my early setup and process in creating a negative space flower painting. I unfortunately have not located the image of the finished piece but once I do it will the thumbnail I use.

This is a continuation of Creating Flowers. Here I am actually creating an impressionistic flower (and don't ask me what kind of flower because I'll answer 'yellow flower') using a palette knife.

At this point I had already created the the background (payne's gray and white) vase is very textured (I mixed sawdust to unbleached titanium white).

Putting the finishing touches to an 8x8 flower painting on canvas.

This is the first video in the Bits and Pieces series. using a catalyst wedge and white and black fluid acrylic. Spreading the paint and the early mark making. I love creating hidden marks, lines and shapes that add texture to ground before the bright colors are added. Enjoy!!

This video will show the underpainting of a piece I call Bits and Pieces. I started with white and black acrylic and then with all kinds of tools I make marks and scrapes. Enjoy!!! I will upload some more of this piece as I get them edited.

This piece was influenced by my love of solo piano music. I love to put on piano music in the studio, it allows me focus on what I am painting. This piece has been completed and is 22 x 28 x 1.5".
