This is a good video. However, the one thing you are missing is that subsidizing Hydrogen is wasting money because it is so inefficient. Each tax dollar can go so much further(3 to 5 times further in fact). If you just put the electricity straight into a battery your tax dollar goes so much further. The government in the US knows that Hydrogen is inherently wasteful that is why they don’t invest in it. Water is inert from an energy perspective. Wasting energy trying to store energy by converting inert water into Hydrogen is not financially responsible.

The price at the pump is not representative of the actual $/€/kg cost of H2, a lot of these prices are being subsidised by public grants and/or the costs are being absorbed by the network operator in the hopes of being able to achieve those costs in future by scaling, cutting costs, etc and just taking the hit short term. A Danish operator recently shut down because they're not profitable, NEL have spun off their network into a separate company because it isn't profitable to operate either. Part of the reason that costs ballooned in California is that the LCFS credit scheme which acts as a subsidy is suddenly worth a lot less to operators than it used to.

Road vehicles are too dependent on infrastructure. Autonomous farming equipment is an entirely different story. Hydrogen is an established industrial gas industry. My money is on autonomous farming and industrial equipment not road vehicles

The unavailable hydrogen is worse than broken EV chargers because there's more EV chargers than hydrogen and it cost me $13 to charge at a public charger. Also, charging an EV for 30 minutes isn't that far off from charging hydrogen. My question to hydrogen owners is, when you use up the toyota credit card and have to start paying yourself. Dang, $150 for 348 miles vs $17 (100%) charge to get 240 miles on my ID4 AWD Pro. I hope toyota starts to reduce the cost of hydrogen since it's just water and oxygen.

Im all for progress but id rather just drive my prius. Hell for 180 dollars your basically paying to fuel up a diesel truck with an enlarged tank. Hydrogen may infact be a great option in the future, but untill its massively adapted and thus becoming more affordable i dont see this catching on
