i played this on an emulator on my computer. the touchscreen controls are definitely a lot easier when you can use your mouse lol.

i think you have to go back and do the "time attack" option with bob in order to get the trophy.

there are certain cutscenes that play on the farm when you first exit the house in the morning. most of those cutscenes make the weather automatically sunny, even in the rainy season. so if you meet the conditions for one of those cutscenes, and you never exit the house, then the weather will stay sunny as long as you keep sleeping. and as long as your animals are outside at that time, you don't need to feed them and they'll keep gaining affection. i usually use gina's first goddess dress cutscene for this trick. it's very useful.

very glad the pastebins were helpful to you--makes me feel accomplished to have written them up all those years ago. the barrier would seem to be an invisible object of some kind, but yea, we don't currently have any means of visualizing it. and i should have mentioned, but yes, the chick does behave exactly the same as the chicken, and it's the quickest and easiest way to do this from the beginning of the game, since you can just buy an egg from ronald for 50G and incubate it rather than making extra money to buy a full-grown chicken from bob. as for whether a sick chicken would behave any differently, it's a good question and worth testing. i'll look into it.

the japanese version was released for switch in january, so some of us HM speedrunners got it early.

@@anggaihzap oh, it's excellent imo. the original AWL was a great game and a classic, but it had its problems, and this remake fixes and adds so much while still retaining everything good about the original. definitely worth playing for any harvest moon fan.

i'm glad the pastebin helped you! i love StH so it's nice to hear my notes could be of use. as for the source code, it's not available as far as i know. all the information i documented (the affection information) i obtained using cheatengine playing the game on emulator.

Suicune - Inside the fountain in Sanskrit Town (need Waterfall) Entei - Inside the mountain in Sunpoint City (need Rock Smash) Raikou - Ampare Cavern (You'll need Cut to access the cavern, then you gonna need Strength and Rock Smash inside the cavern) If you play Gold, you need to catch Ho-Oh in Brass Tower before triggering the legendary beast trio event, and if you play Silver, you need to catch Lugia first in the Whirl Islands.

it’s given to you as a reward for beating the radio tower rockets (right after you beat giovanni).

@@drd5455 there's no way to miss it, the radio tower guy gives it to you automatically in a forced cutscene right after you beat giovanni. it's HM05.

glad i could help more people discover this hack, it’s really great. the download link to the latest version is in the description, but the download is a .ips file. you will need to patch a plain pokemon crystal rom in order to build the hack, but it’s really easy. just download a rom of crystal, download the .ips file from the link in the description, and use lunar ips to build the gold 97 rom (or silver if you prefer). you can download lunar ips here: www.romhacking.net/utilities/240/ hope that helps! (to be clear, the plain rom that you edit with the .ips file MUST be crystal, not original gold or silver, as the hack is built on the crystal engine).

@@GHeinz Thanks man, I will try this for sure. And LunarIPS is no stranger to me, as I used to make ROM hacks of Super Mario World back in the days. Glad this tool is still used today. A must have I'd say lol I'm actually not quite sure why GameFreak didn't reuse that whole Japan map concept, I mean it sure was thought to be used but later scrapped... I guess it has to do with the limited memory space on a GBC cartridge, since the original japanese spaceworld was designed for a special console used in an event, which I guess contained way more memory space to fill in. But the concept is SOOOOOO amazing

oh cool, then you know what you are doing. hope you enjoy it! i’m not sure, i guess it makes sense for size considerations, and the way they decided to end up connecting johto to kanto on the same landmass. but it’s cool that we got the leaks at least, and reforged honestly feels really authentic, as if you are playing the real gold/silver version from a parallel universe. really cool gaming history anyway.

@@GHeinz I agree. Sadly now I think the github changed, and it's not longer an IPS file, but as if it was the content of a cartridge dumped into files. So I'll have to compile everything first upon patching Crystal. Would be an interesting disclaimer to put in the description ;-P As for the Johto / Kanto connection, it always was even in the final releases of the games. They are technically not on the same landmass so to speak, but the only thing linking them is route 28, as the Plateau is shared by both regions. Basically like linking 2 islands over by a bridge.

thanks. yea i agree, but it’s true, they could absolutely diverge again. i think invincibility will always be the defining glitch of legacy, but if some other way was ever found to get to the ferenia CU without gravity suit then that could be big. the problem is frozen artaria, which we obviously don’t want to complete if we don’t have to, but supposedly if burenia is frozen (for example, right after we first take the elevator there after camera lock), you can’t take the green teleportal straight to ghavoran as it doesn’t work when frozen. but i’m sure there will be some new breakthrough at some point.

yea, i followed some tutorial to make it transparent, can’t remember exactly what i did. but yea using chroma key

@@GHeinz ok um don't do that, It's gonna make livesplit look bad (colors bleed through text) Make livesplit background be all black and use Luma key instead, that way it won't look awful and you can actually use any colors you'd like for any text

thanks for the advice, it was my first time running a game with this aspect ratio and putting the timer over the gameplay. i know the splits don’t look the best, i will check out luma
