Dimethyl Ether, also known as DME, is a clean syngas that can be used as fuel. DME is good for the fight against global warming because the emissions decompose in a few dozen hours rather than collect in the atmosphere.

Usable products such as hydrogen gas can be produced from waste through the process of steam reforming. In the case of hydrogen gas, it can then be used in the creation of clean, alternative energy sources.
This video is already 16 years old and yet, I had never heard till a week ago about DME. I see it as a way to let Americans keep their car and yet stop emitting CO2. The process is often described as circular and carbon neutral but even better would be if part of the carbon could be deposited so it becomes carbon negative. Storing solid carbon away is much easier than storing of liquid CO2 in old oil fields.
Why is DME not used for modern Engines or to make Electricity? Why i only can find old Videos for its Future use and now in the "Future" its only used for Hash oil? :o
DME can be produced from the CO2 emissions of a power plant. The DME so produced would be like biomass power and have 90% abatement of CO2. The price of DME would be equal to 75% Diesel price but would have zero particulate emissions in its exhaust. This becomes liquid at-25 deg C and blends well with any fuel and acts as an Oxigenate and increases the fuel effeciency and complete combustion. It can be used in fuel cells also.
So it is possible to generate electricity using dme instead of methane, right?
Also can be used to treat warts and verrucas. "INGREDIENTS: PROPANE, DIMETHYL ETHER" They just made me cover my finger in fuel Jesus Christ no wonder they didn't want me using it near an exposed flame

videoclipits, Not really. Read the wikipedia article, it is quite interesting. Has relatively the same power density as gas, so that is usefull.
You can use it to make hash oil too
