You can leave it white, I find it easier to design when I fill my boxes with colors and then when you cut them you can use any color you like.

I just had the same issue again. It seems with the ES mat since the cutting area is smaller than 12x12 the page needed to be moved over about a half inch from the left edge. Once I did this it read them perfectly on the first try.

registration marks are needed any time you do print and cut projects. Nothing here was printed first then cut out. If I did matless print and cut I would still need registration marks.

I have not experienced this issue. Usually if the cut is off it is time to check for software and firmware updates.

@@CraftyChristiesCreations I think I should have elaborated more about what I meant. The cuts are not as smooth as with the die cuts. I feel it leaves the outline looking a little jagged. Thanks for your response though, I appreciate it.

You can but like any normal font it will sketch the outline unless you use the sketch panel to fill in the text. You need to find a sketch or single line font if you want a single line.

Lately I’ve been using the Nicapa Standard Grip Mats - amzn.to/4eBzdEE They aren’t as sticky which helps. When I use new Silhouette brand mats, I take a lint free cloth like a flower sack cloth and press it all over to pull off some of the stickiness.

@@CraftyChristiesCreations It was my punches. I had a huge collection of them. All sizes, shapes. I invested so much money in them. I donated them to a school. I got rid of stamps too but I kept a bunch of them.

you can use any heat-activated foil. Not the minc foil because it is toner-activated. The heat pen comes with silver and gold. Deco brand has a line of hot foils that work well. I've been enjoying the rainbow dreams color. amzn.to/3TytE1w

I know right! It is hard to say goodbye to things, I'm even going through my paper stash and parting with patterned papers. It's funny I remember when I purchased these items but, yet haven't used them in over 10 years!

You don’t need those strips yet. Those are replacements for when the current ones wear out. Guess we will all figure this out later. I’m betting we get a year or more of use before we need to replace them.

Hi, Everyone's cut settings might be slightly different based on the brand of material, age of blade, type of blade, if the blade housing is full of debris, or machine. I'm using a blade depth of 4 and force of 25 with a new auto blade. I typically use the presets for sketching. When I select sketch it auto populates with settings. This shows a force of 7.

It is not a printer, you should be able to send your items to cut when you walk through all the steps to set it up with Silhouette Studio. The Cameo 5 is designed to be wireless, which is why they don't provide the cord anymore.
