How do you learn songs like these by ear? I understand keys and stuff I just can't put what I'm hearing to play
Great question my friend. 🙏Music came to me naturally, I grew up in a musical family, so it was a little bit easier for me to learn by ear, feeling and sound. It wasn’t until I was 18 that I really started to focus on theory scales chords, etc.. but honestly just having a very basic understanding of that can get you a very long way learning songs. I also would watch music videos or live performances and see hand postures that my favorite guitarist were doing and try to match that with what I was playing by ear. The best advice I could give is just listen to the song nonstop. Try to identify what chords and single notes that you hear and try to find them comfortably on the guitar. Also watch live performances or even some of the videos that I have covering artist songs like The Outfield . I try to get it as close as possible, but with my own spin on it as well ! 🤘🎸💀

Thanks so much 🙏 I like to keep it simple. I am using a boss GT-1000 and run direct into my computer via garage band. I just use the built in boss distortions/tones and I have slightly tweaked them to my own style 🤘💀
