One of my favourite all time hymns.
Hi, could you teach us how to play instruments in duet or what to play in a piano while a violin is playing the melody?
Check out our accompaniment tips playlist! We have over 16 videos dealing with accompaniments!
This is so helpful!
Could you please give some tips on what to do in the times where there is a white note or a whole note so that we do not remain static in the accompaniment. Thank you and blessings for sharing your knowledge.
Hello @eduardoPastorCampos! Check out our Playlist on hymn tips. We give many ideas for concepts like this! Many more are in the cue coming up over the next several weeks! I hope this is a help!
@@newmerciesmusic thank you!
Very beautiful. Wish I could play the runs like that.
thank you!! It takes time to develop them properly, but you can do it!!
What a piece ,,,kindly do a breakdown of your play
This channel of yours is very useful for traditional hymn piano players. Thanks so much. Godbless
Well you can do a wide spacing IF you add some rhythmic interest in he middle voices to create varied textures - as your video hints, you cannot have wide spaces for too long but for moderate duration you could. So you could play octaves where the pinkie plays the lower note at a slower pace than the thumb does the upper note. The right hand could have the melody line sustained whil you have an arpeggiation of the voices beneath. Such approach best if you work to close the gap in the wide spacing. This does require a good piano technique with strong finger independence. So this may not be best for all levels of pianists.
Next do me "to God be the glory"
❤
This is so sparkling and beautiful! Absolutely lovely!
Thank you!
Thank you❤
My pleasure!
Hello, I just found your channel and am learning a lot! Could you tell us what is the pattern of chords/inversions you use in the example you give starting on 4:24? Thank you in advance, and God bless you for sharing the gifts! ❤
The inversions will change based on me striving to play the closest inversion to the last chord I played. But in short :) I am adding the 2nd to the chord, playing the chord in either root or inversion, and then adding the 7th to the chord. That is the simplest way to explain that idea! I will write down that idea to do as a separate tutorial! @amiga66
Thank you for this!!!
