How to make a Dice Tray for TTRPGs Out of Simple Materials
Its been a while since I have had a video for this channel. This is just making DnD rolling trays from classic dnd crafting materials. It's easy, a low bar of entry and infinitely customizable. Something you can do on a weekend and come out of it with a fun item you can roll dice in.
I wouldn't suggest rolling stone or metal dice in it, but that's just in general. It should ultimately be fine to roll plastic dice in it forever.
I have spent a lot of time on my animation channel recently but I haven't forgotten about this one! I have big projects I'm working on, and ultimately I'll keep making crafting videos for a long time to come.
I recently sold some stuff at Ret-Con NC and that was a blast, the metal mushrooms and rings did really nicely and even a few dice trays :) I still suffer from imposter syndrome but it feels really nice that people enjoy things I make. I need to make more mushrooms and more rings, and I have been given some ideas for mushroom rings by talking with friends at the con and I'm really happy to get out to another convention some time and bring things I've made.
I was making a mimic that fully needs to be revisited for strength and functionality.

How To Make a Line Tool: For Gunpla and Model Kit Customization
มุมมอง 1.3Kปีที่แล้ว
So you've come to the description... if you have questions plop them in here. This is supposed to be more geared toward a tutorial than most of my process videos, because I think the gunpla community is a crafty bunch that would definitely be able to make their own tools in worst case scenarios, were they not to be able to buy high quality out of stock tools. This isn't becoming a gunpla channe...

An Axe To Grind: Fixing a damaged axe blade without power tools

I'm fixing an axe for my friends who graciously lent their axe to a neighbor, and that neighbor had decimated the edge because they didn't realize there was a nail (maybe a few nails?) in the post or stump they were chopping into. Making a Grafting Knife out of 1095 High Carbon Steel

    Could you by chance list the tools needed to do this? I just unfortunately dented my new axe blade cutting down a large privet tree that had grown around thick metal wire embedded in the middle of its trunk. Naturally my axe blade took a beating. I have never sharpened an axe let alone fixed dents in one. I'm unsure which specific files and related tools are needed. Need to put together a list of what I need to buy. Wish I could find someone in my area to do it for me, but no such luck yet.

    • @MaxPowerCrafts
      @MaxPowerCrafts 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hidden metal in trees is really the worst, for fixing the dents you just need any hand file that is harder than your axe blade, most already are and any hardware store should have what you need - Course hand file I would suggest the bigger one they sell, 9 inch or larger. (They're usually nicholson brand but brand is unimportant - Fine hand file - fine handfiles are almost always smaller this is just for refinement of scratches. - Sand Paper up to 400 might be all you need but you can go as high as you want if you want it polished, polished isn't really necessary -optional- The diamond stone I use is just for fine honing - it is not necessary at all it's just a little bit of extra work, you can do everything with sandpaper wrapped around a block, and be good to go. - not optional - A bench and clamps, or a bench and a vice, anything to safely and securely hold your work while you file. Be extra careful filing toward the edge of the blade, safety is always the most important thing, you can definitely do it, I hope that list is helpful

      That is a flat drill guide. Specifically "Big Gator Tools SDGMINI Mini V-DrillGuide" that fits between the jaws of my lathe, and also allows the ring to sit in there. It's also a very useful drill guide when not being misused like this

Thick copper wire Hammer 16 to 20 guage copper sheet (For 16 guague you need to saw out your mushroom circles) Hole punching set for thinner copper sheet (20 to 24 range for gauge) Brass hammer for the dapping hammering and hole punching. Dapping blocks Silver solder (Any kind of solder is probably fine for this since it is one joint) Flux (Any kind you like working with) General files I THINK that's it.

    Best advice I can give for getting farther - when it starts getting harder, focus on clearing out either left or right half of screen. Enemies on the left side of formation come down and go right, and vice versa. So if you clear out the right half of the formation, you can dodge to the right much more safely, and head back left to shoot more when you feel it's safe. Keeping reds alive isn't a bad idea to score some extra points in the earlier levels, but if you're really trying to get as high a score as possible, I think clearing the levels ASAP is a better strategy, for most part - you get the higher point value if you shoot them while flying in anyway, and if you're fast enough, you can have most if not all of the screen clear. Just make sure to leave two+ boss galagas at top of screen, because they'll never do the tractor beam if there's only one in formation. lol

    If you have a few, good, sharp, high quality hand files, you don't really need a grinder, or belt sander to shape, and sharpen an axe. It's all too easy to slip up and take off a little more material than you had planned too when using grinders and belt sanders. Also, it's easy to get complacent with a grinder, and over heat the axe head, in turn, ruining the steels tempering.

Anyway, I wanted to say it's crazy how you molded that with the nose on!!! You're brave lol! I'm about to start my second resin mask and I want to do a mask with protrusions this time and I'm thinking of cutting things like horns/noses off to do a two part mold or something then re-attach after casting. However, I'm not sure how to do that and keep the curvature continuous looking so that's why I was watching youtube videos today... xD

    • @MaxPowerCrafts
      @MaxPowerCrafts ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I was like “it’ll be fine” and then it was immediately not for the nose heh. As for keeping curvatures and making other models and attaching you just gotta connect them with epoxy or some kinda job weld and sand them down or make a registration mark you cut across and fill in later. You can do it!!!

    • @MaxPowerCrafts
      @MaxPowerCrafts 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the colors I mixed for the base mask color were peach, and drops of green white, blue red, or whatever I thought would push the color the way it needed to go to eyeball it, it was my first airbrush project and I apologize that I wasn't more clear in what I was using. But if it's helpful. I know Peach was the base color I used, white to get the saturation a little less, and just drops of green and or blue push it to a less extreme peach. For lighter tones I almost exclusively just added white I believe, and for darker, I added a dark purple, in small amounts, and very very limited amounts of black, if any black at all (I can't remember but black and white should be used super sparingly in any paints) I hope that is helpful!
