Part 2: Watercooling the NCASE M2 - A Compact SFF PC Build
In this part of my NCASE M2 Black Grater Edition build, I set out to attempt a triple radiator watercooling setup in one of the most premium SFF cases on the market. Let’s just say…it didn’t go as planned.
Fitting three radiators in a case this small turned out to be more ambitious than I expected. But instead of editing out the failures, I decided to keep them in-because if you’ve ever done a custom watercooling build, you know things don’t always go perfectly. After some trial and error, I pivoted to a dual radiator solution that works beautifully.
This build tested my patience and creativity, and I hope it inspires you to tackle your own ambitious projects-successes and failures alike! Check it out, and let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe-Part 3 is coming soon, where we’ll put this build to the test under load and compare the performance of this build compared to the new 9800X3D.
Parts List:
Motherboard: ASUS X870-I

Unboxing the NCASE M2: Black Grater Edition | Part 1 of 3 In the first installment of our 3-part series, we're unboxing the brand-new NCASE M2. This sleek small form factor (SFF) case has been creating a buzz in the PC building community, and we're excited to show you why. In this video: - First impressions of the NCASE M2 - Detailed look at the packaging and what's inside the box - Close-up of...
Glad I discovered your channel while imagining ideas about my transition to SFF with my next case.
when next part coming
but, can it run Crysis? awesome build sir!
Thanks!
Just got my M2 case and am preparing to build. Your video has given me some great ideas!
Great to hear, have fun!
Sick build bro but, numbers, please! A video with stock, under-volt, and overclock temps and fans' dBs would be awesome!
@@shrapnel95 Thanks! I’ll try to deliver on all those in part 3!
Excellent build and explanation.
@@TechnicaX Thanks a lot!
Really nice You are a bit heavy handed on the desaturation filter of the image though it feels kinda blurry and desaturated
@@osamodaboy Thanks! Working on that; next video will be better.
@NewSolutionsForWorld nice ! It's especially visible because you were filming black stuff, the lack of contrast made it hard to see the parts well Keep it up I really liked it
@ Thanks for the feedback!
would have love to see the triple radiator setup
Believe me, me too. The level of disappointment I felt when it didn't fit was deep, however, 5090 is set to release in Jan/Feb, at which point we will try this again.
Is the person who edits the videos color blind or something? Why does this video seem so washed out in color? It has to be one of the ugliest color tones I've seen in a hardware channel.
Hey sick build! May i ask where you aquired the custom cables? Also, lengths?
@@Good4HealthBad4Education Thanks for the kind words! DreamBigbyRayMOD on Etsy 1x24p--270mm 1xcpu8p--370mm 1x12p to 2xgpu8p for 3090FE--220mm 1xsata--200mm silicone cables, black color. black plugs, no combs Do watch out which gpu cable you use, there’s a difference between 3090 and 4090. Good luck!
Awesome video. You are first to upload an M2 custom water loop guide
Thanks! Appreciate the kind words
Bro your choice is so damn good for old pc case and new too.
Thanks mate!
@NewSolutionsForWorld as you are doing soft tubing you could have used quick disconnects as they are very convenient in case any issue comes up and you dont need to flush the liquid.
i would have preferred nocuta fans cause fans color not visible when pc is completely built as there are no glass panels.
Waiting for the part 3 already.
@@itsmephougatYes! You're 100% right. I was thinking about using them but the delivery time was a little longer than I hoped and I just wanted to start building. But I'll probably use them in the future!
why is this multiple parts?
1.Different people might be looking for different parts, maybe not everyone wants to see a full build. 2. Takes quite alot of time and effort to make these, so its easier on me to do them in parts. 3. People might not want to watch a 30 minute video, 5-10 is easier to digest, I would guess. But happy to listen to feedback if you think otherwise.
Man my build has been a pain, the manual is so bad in some cases. I even reached out to the support, because I am building with an mATX board. And I was like...So the radiator for the AIO won't fit in the top with an mATX board...and they were like, yeah no it should fit...but yeah it's not even close to being able to fit with an mATX board :/ So I have to side mount it - which makes it impossible to do vertical GPU mount.... big sad.... And I can't return my motherboard and switch to ITX now :/ Depending on the new gen of GPU:s I might need to switch to an ITX board later down the line. man I even asked their support and they totally F:d me...
Honestly, I agree, the manual is really non-existent and you have to figure it out by yourself. Sorry to hear that this one didn't work out. I also tried to go for 3 rads and came 5mm short so I know the feeling. I think in these cases ITX gives you alot more flexibility so not a bad idea to try it out. Try reaching out to return the mobo late, sometimes they let you do it with a small restocking fee.
Wow, nice build!
what fittings & where did you get them?
Legris LF3000 3199 08 13 and 3101 08 13. Got them online, just any vendor that does pneumatics.
Nice
Nice build. I'm hoping to do something similar since I just picked up the an m2 as well. I haven't seen pneumatic styled fittings used in watercooling before, could you provide some more information about what you are using? (new video idea?) Also those look like custom silicone power cables, mind if I ask where you got them?
Good video idea! Custom cables come from DreambigbyRayMod on etsy, very helpful, theyu will assist you with which length to go for if you are not sure.
Nice vid, I'm planning to go for the classic reference layout without the riser and a 240 kraken z53 on the top. Officially I haven't seen a build like that shown. You think it's doable?
Thanks! There's a part 2 as well which I released today! Your build might be doable but depends on your gpu thickness and which fans you'll use on the kraken.
Getting my N2 Round tomorrow, was almost $100 more for the grater, and for me it wasn't worth that much extra. Gonna be building with a B650 mATX board and a 9800x3D.
Nice! My 9800X3D also arrived today! Are you going with the black or silver m2?
@@NewSolutionsForWorld I have the Black M2 I am moving my setup into. Moving from the Dan H2 for extra radiator room. Can you link the fittings and tube you used. I like how it looks too. Also picked up the 9800X3D. Moving the 78003D to my sons build.
@@Me-xc5vs Thats one lucky son! Legris LF3000 3199 08 13 and 3101 08 13, tubing is just regular 8mm OD pneumatic tubing. Good luck with the build!
@ Thank you. Gonna be fun.
@@NewSolutionsForWorld Black, silver was sold out completely and I didn't really care what color I got tbh. Gonna be mounting it under my desk anyway so just wanted something small and compatible with a wide variety of hardware. 9800x3D gonna be a beast! Gonna stuff mine with a 3080ti for now, until the 5000 series or AMD:s new stuff comes out early next year.
Can you show me your inside build with the mobo and ram?
Yes, that will be part 2 which is coming soon. Custom watercooling with the new x870-i. 😁
@ witch ram do you use?

Part 2 is Live!
4:28 LOL I feel your pain
Any cheaper, similary sized and mATX compatible case than this one?
@@mba2808 honestly the regular non-grater version is pretty good value.
Maybe also have a look at the NR200 btw.
@@NewSolutionsForWorld Nr200 is itx only(beside some nonstandard matx boards)
@@NewSolutionsForWorld do you know if fitting 2x 120mm on top is possible with Matx?
@@mba2808 I havent tried it but it looks like it would yes, maybe depending on the board.
Thanks for the video! Please consider some lighting from the front. A lamp of any sort would help bring out the case details with black cases like this to really show off the details. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the feedback! You’re completely right, I have to work on the lighting. Next video will be better!
Part 2 is Live, hope I made some improvements :D
Was there like an embargo on this case? Im seeing more videos on it very recently.
@@triliner254 Not that I know, but it took some time to start shipping out, especially in this grater version. I think everyone started receiving theirs now 😅
@@NewSolutionsForWorld I see. Nice video anyway!
@@triliner254 thanks! 🙏
Thank you for attempting to build a triple 280mm build. I'm thinking of getting M2 myself since my old M1 case PC is 4 years old it about time for anew PC.
Thanks for the kind words! Appreciate it. 🙏
