    You brought back some good memories; I was from L.A. in 1970 and was a floor senator on 5th floor Perham. (Patty Murray was a floor senator in Streit.) I stayed at WSU during vacations and liked it very much....all the quiet and having the run of the dorm to myself,....very cozy feeling. In those days, Murrow students were sports and news announcers on KWSU radio and tv, but my first audition there wasn't too good, so they wouldn't let me on the air until I was more seasoned by doing games and shows on KUGR (the minor leagues.) But during vacation they needed KDUB staffers since everyone went home, so I stayed on campus and did that....that's how I "cracked the lineup." And my instructors were impressed with that. Also, if you are out of state and get a job in Washington during the summer (I worked KWSU "summer crew") you are then eligible to be a Wash. resident and then you can get in state tuition, which is a big savings.....that's what I did, too.

      I liked reading about your experience as a Murrow student - thank you for sharing! KUGR is still alive and well these days, but I can't say I've heard of KWSU radio. Granted, I never strayed toward broadcasting. Now, the broadcasting students are crazy about Cable 8 Productions. It's a TV production and a few of my friends loved their time on it. Pullman during the summer months is the best!

      @@sophiajuliet. KWSU radio.....I think it's 1250 on the A.M. dial.....the Northwest Public Radio flagship radio station. Studios on the top floor of the oldest Murrow bldg, (with the tube like minaret architecture..) We helped build the whole first Murrow bldg (the middle one) and the oldest one was gutted and remodelled in the inside.....you can see nifty pictures of said gutting in the 1971 or 1972 Chinook yearbook. All we KUGR and KWSU staffers are decked out in hardhats, shovels, brooms, and held microphone cable w/ no microphones attached to it.

You and your bf are on a couple of my videos and you will be again. I hope you don't mind because I'm planning on taking clips out of this one and hopefully I can find the one where you talked about the two guys knocking on your apartment door. If you read this in time and you know which video that clip is on will you please put the link in the comment box? I'd really appreciate it and if you talk about any other tidbits of info connected to the nefarious happenings around there and Moscow, could you direct me to those as well? I'll plug your vlog and add your channel name and the video link in my description. You do a great job and I appreciate your no nonsense vlogging. Hi, I’m currently looking into Washington state university as a transfer option as a student in Southern California, I’m from Orange County. I’m Nervous though on what school to pick, I’ve looked at University of Washington and now I’m looking at Washington State University. I mainly want an environment with great professors and a community that feels friendly, engaged, and welcoming. I feel like some people here in SoCal can come off as a fake kind of nice. What is the class sizes like? Is it easy to meet new people? How is the campus, food, and professors? Thanks in advance!!

      @@nadermost4864 Hi! I absolutely loved all my professors in the Communications Department and Honors College. I talked to several about my professional goals in passing and they’ve passed so many opportunities my way as well as remembered me after I was their student. Assuming you’d transfer over as a junior, class sizes for my criminal justice classes were 30-40 students and about 10-20 for my communications classes. Very individualized learning in my experience as an upperclassman.

      @@nadermost4864 WSU students are so friendly and, in my experience, very open to making new friends. I met most of mine through my campus job (highly recommend) and through my roommate, who met hers through her job and classes. As an upperclassmen, you’re taking most classes with the same group of kids so always have a familiar face. Dining hall food is pretty good tbh. I think the food in town may be lackluster coming from SoCal, but Moscow is only 15 minutes away and has a lot more options. I LOVED my time at Wazzu and wish I could go back! You can skim through a few of my other vlogs to get a feel for campus. :)

Instructors at WSU teach that some students are spiritually damaged according to how they look physically... how is that career relevant? Once you have already started a program and have paid this school you better hope you don't have any concerns because the staff will treat you like garbage.” Now idk does that reflect anything actually at the school or what

      Hi! Based on what you said it sounds like you'd apply as an international student. Try Googling "WSU International Student Services" and look for any emails there. I did a quick online search and found this. I would start here: admission.wsu.edu/apply/international-students/

    Washington State University takes student tuition and then hangs up on them. They have required courses which are not relevant to a student's area of study which are run by religious fanatics who label some of their students as "spiritually damaged." This school is terrible. I called the dean of students office and the person I spoke there hung up her phone on me claiming that she had addressed my concerns and she had not. The school then refused to communicate with me at all. They label some of their students as having "deformed psyches" I asked for the "peer reviewed literature" they claim it's based on and they refused to provide it. This school got thousands of dollars in tuition money from me and now they will not even respond to my emails and they try to forward me to their risk management office. This school is dishonest they don't even try to help students. I hated everything about my experience with Washington State University. WSU also spends a lot of money on marketing so they make it look good but it's very much different from how they market the programs. I thought I was in a professional program but it was mostly Islamic instructors saying how much they hate America and Americans so if that is what you want to spend your money on go for it.

    hi, i'm from the bay area in cali and wsu is my top choice atm, so this video was extremely helpful! tysm for doing this! : ) also, I have two questions: 1. when renting an off-campus apartment, how did you find one/ what websites did you use? ^ the thing is, if I do go to wsu (which is a 99% chance), i'll be attending the vancouver campus and they dont have dorms lol. my parents won't be paying for my college or anything at all, but paying $750/ month with a roommate seems manageable. 2. how easy is it to find a job?

    • @sophiajuliet.
      @sophiajuliet. ปีที่แล้ว

      HI Luci, all great questions. I am at the Pullman campus and have not spend substantial time in other parts of the state so my experience is limited to WSU Pullman. I did not use a website to find my current apartment as everyone is already aware major apartment complexes here. As for finding a job (at WSU Pullman) it is very easy to work on campus. Prior experience is not necessary for many student positions. I currently work multiple jobs on campus and love it. Many students apply over the summertime to ensure a job by their first day of school.

      Washington State University has a communist-marxian political cult which the staff adhere to and they force it on students as well. I thought I was going to get a non-political neutral education that was centered on students gaining skills but it's really more focused on the money-grubbing instructors. It's not a serious school, it's for sports and football teams if that is what you are into.
