A lot of the women commenting here, YOU all didn’t want to stop breastfeeding. It was YOUR anxiety and insecurity, not your child’s. Not ever wanting to stop? Really? You want your child sucking your tits when they’re 5, 6, 7 years old? I’m sorry, but looking all lovingly at your child while you’re breastfeeding, and they’re 3 and 4 years old, that’s just weird. That’s not for nourishment, it’s for you not wanting them to be their own person. You want them dependent on you, and you don’t wan them to be able to self soothe. YOU want to be the only one who can do that for them. This is why we have kids growing up and having meltdowns because they can’t solve problems or do anything themselves without mommy fixing it for them. If your kid has teeth, and can talk in complete sentences, then they’re too old to ask for the boob.

A lot of women breastfeed their kids until they’re 3 and 4, and I think it’s more of the mom not wanting to stop, not the child. And the child isn’t really doing it for nourishment, they’re doing it to soothe. They’re using moms tits as a pacifier, just sucking on them, but not really feeding.

I nursed for 3 1/2 and 3 3/4 years the two babies I was blessed with raising. It was so good- neither of them ever had a bottle! I think my first was given a bottle once but he didn't know how to drink out of it!

Nursed all 3 of my kids, 1, 2 and 3 years respectively. Wouldn’t change it for the world. The best days of my life!

It can be painful for a few days or weeks but it feels wonderful afer that. Best for mum and baby. Some people cant breast feed its sad 😢. But holdind the baby whilst bottl feeding is the nearest thing to the breast.

I’m about to give birth and I personally don’t know if I’ll ever relate to this 😅 I can’t imagine liking it that much

I think there should be a cut off for nursing when u see bit standing up between your legs is not the proper way to breast feed u know its time to stop.
