"Only as Holy" - Pine & Fire" | MI Folk Sessions
Pine & Fire (@pineandfire) are a duo out of Minnesota that I had the wonderful pleasure of working with when they came to town for a show. I got to spend the afternoon with them and a few other new friends recording, singing, gaming and eating coneys. I can say that it's hard to think of a time where I had more fun with people I just met. These two radiate positivity and fun, and their music is so incredible that I am honored to be able to share some of it here on the channel.
"Only as Holy" is a deep piece about familial love despite all the negatives that come with that. It's such a wonderful and powerful song that I know will resonate with a lot of people out there.

"Train Don't Stop" is a fantastic tune about towns passed their prime. This one rings true for me as well, a lot of my family is from old coal mining towns down south. Beautiful touching song
No matter what your father, you can achieve greatness above parental failure. Blaming your father for your sorrow and not rising above that to create a better frame of mind for yourself is wrong. Then, reiterating those failures to your kids as happens a lot is also a failure. Look at the world around you and pick yourself up on the stones of success you can climb and reach around you. If you cant do that, you're a coward.
