REVENGE on the Calfee Creek Pack Leader! WolfQuest Longplay (No commentary) Dandelion #3
Hello and welcome to another WolfQuest Saga video where I survive with the Lamar Canyon pack! In episode one, I took over this pack. The saga is currently in public beta.
In this longplay, I survive the beautiful springtime with my packmates and puppies and attempt to keep everyone well fed, healthy, and injury free. It's a lovely time of year and running errands around the territory is quite stunning.
At 1:22:55 I engage in a territory battle against Calfee Creek, the pack that invaded my territory in the last episode and brutally attacked my packmates and I. See how we fare this time against our Calfee Creek rivals!
This longplay is done on accurate mode. I am still learning the ropes of the Saga, feel free to leave any tips you might have for me! I'd really appreciate it!

I love the effort and length you put into your videos !!! ^_^
i really appreciate the effort you’ve been putting into these videos honestly (and i think others do too). it’s awesome to be able to come home from school or work and just chill with a 2 hour long wolf quest playthrough. keep up the great work! as for big wolf fights, i highly recommend less circling around the fight and more aggressive attacks. you gotta make sure that you are the one doing the biting firstly. also, try to target one wolf (one or two wolves usually start with half health in big fights) and kill them if you can. rival pups have less health than adults and yearlings but attacking them may make the rest of the pack angrier so be careful. and if a packmate gets really low, go up near them and woof (any wolf under 30% health will listen, and if they are above 30% health, you have to target them and woof). this will make them stay at the edge of the fight and maybe get less hurt. however, wolves will still target them so you should try to stay near them and protect them if you can. it usually works out for me that way on accurate (and my wolf has -2 health). so it might be worth a try!
What den is that?
They're so close to 15 pounds ahhhh the torture 😭
I love your WolfQuest videos so much!
awesome
Here’s a tip from what I’ve learned grinding accurate Ironwolf! If you’re quite low but the ungulate (general term for all hooved animals, not just their babies!) has stopped running and turned to face you, growling makes your mate attack them! (Depending on boldness, I’ve only ever picked bolder mates so I’m not sure this applies to all ^^). You can also run in front once they’ve turned around and slowly bring them towards your den. This way you have food right in front of your face and predators can’t hog the body. Nor do you have to fight for it, unlike when you’ve hunted it somewhere on your territory instead. For lazy mates you can also leave your pups out as your mate will stay at the den! This can help reduce the flea load when having the pups stay while you’re out! For energetic mates they’ll help you mark territory from time to time! Personally I like bold, social, lazy mates because of the pup outcome! My pups don’t usually run off but if they do I can howl and their sociableness has them howl back so I may find them! Bold, loner, lazy also is a good catch for me since my pups aren’t running around playing with one another 😂
I tried doing this but my target kept finding a new mate😭 I killed Atleast 4 wolf leaders before I gave up to check out the rest of the saga
35:02 I GOT TO AGREE WITH YOU THAT'S A LOT THAT'S HUNDREDS 😭
just wondering could your possibly fight off, or scare, or run away from the dispersals trying to court and see if it helps? Try and get large pack with no subs leavening ^^
I think its worth a try yeah! Thanks!
I finally got my computer fixed and back! I was able to start playing saga finally! I like watching your videos while I play! I was able to become the pack leader of a rival pack and just had my first litter of pups! Having older wolves to help is really nice! I love the saga and cant wait to see more of your videos!
Yay I'm so happy you got your computer back!! I hope you have tons of fun! I agree, having the older wolves to help is such a relief.
Does anyone know how to do the extremely fast tail wag when greeting your packmates? I can't figure it out lol
If it's not too much trouble, could you tell me what time in the video you see the fast tail wag? Thank you! 😊
@@wolfinthesage sure! 1:31:48 Is when I spotted them
So here’s a spoiler to make the game a bit funner the hidden achievements are window maker(have 4 mates before the age of 7) bachelor party (as a dispersed wolf find your sibling on the map) and idk the last one names but it’s a dispersed pup returns home
The winters are *brutal* in the game now and I love it.
ALSO sorry I'm commenting a lot BUT I saw a glitch? 1:13:18 percentage of hex even though the hexes and percents are off? Very odd..
Its not that odd.. glitches are common in betas
@@athernaut7939 I know there's like thousands of reports but I'm just saying it shouldn't be that way
By the way I would go for the pups or the leaders so they leave quick or if you want them to disband :) personally I would go on a murdering spree with that many wolves.... especially if the wolves are trying to flee
For the big fights I like to rally my pack before going into them. Also check health before battle, see what packmate might be the most vulnerable. Once in the fight, don't charge right in. I like to stand on the edge and observe the foes, look for any leg injuries or tucked tails. I like to attack wolves that my packmates are already attacking and tag team them basically. Watch your stamina, I try not to let mine drain completely. While waiting for stamina to replenish, growl and snarl lots. I like to get a bite in on every wolf, so I can see what health my enemies are at. Target the weakest ones, potentially even kill them. While observing, I tend to give just a singular bite to enemies that are attacking my packmates to get them off. I will also press tab occasionally to check my pack's health and know who I might need to bark at. Pressing tab also gives me a little breather
This is so helpful, thank you for taking the time to write this!! 😁
Try yo kill the wolves with the lowest health. You can also try it with the rival packs pups, the health of them will drop faster, but the older packmates get upset if you bite the pups.
Are you supposed to go to your scent post and remark it? I just create a new one every time lol
Either or but remaking a new one puts the hex right at 100 (if it’s been over a day since you made the scent post) and it’s much faster than running to your old scent post.
@@1ChuckFrmDaLand Yeah
Thank you so much for pointing this out lol. I didn't realize you can just make a new marker wherever and get to 100%. I have been revisiting my old markers 😅😭
@@wolfinthesage 🥲well now you don't have to go through that pain
your the leader of enemy pack??
Yes! In my last video I showed the process of taking over and becoming the leader 😊
can someone help me please after i did yung hunters what next
question, how long do packmates stay with you before they disperse/leave? edit: thanks for all the input you guys! <3
Some stay their whole lives. Others do disperse. My Matriarch Willow is 7 with a pack of 17. I was at 21, but some of the subordinate's struck out on their own :>
@@SpiritedWolf oh wow, that's so good to know, thx! what happens if you don't advance your wolf in age? do some things change regarding that orrr?
One of my yearlings dispersed in the winter, but ended up coming back. So i believe it's random for eachwolf :)
@@SpiritedWolf21 wolves during the Saga????
@@lawliet8396If you dont advance your wolfs age, your young pups and yearlings will still age, but theyll stop at age 2 and wont age after that, same with the stranger wolves. And since they are likely to disperse at age 2 theres still a chance they will disperse every year
Another useful tip, when you chase elk when you have pups and territory, its nice to direct them farther into your territory so you can keep visiting your carcass. It’s quite fun, actually.
With fighting wolves try to find the one with the lowest health and kill it. The rest of the pack will usually back off afterwards
Thank you for your advice! I think this is the key and the fastest way to end a fight. If I had just continued attacking the one low health wolf instead of trying to flee, I think the outcome may have been different for me.
you were so close to killing one of the enemy wolves. You should have just continued trying with that.
You're completely right, if I had just kept attacking the low health wolf instead of fleeing, things would have been different! I honestly thought that fleeing would make the attack stop 😅😭
for fighting wolves I recommend keeping both your pointer fingers hovered over the a and d keys to shake off wolves quickly, when you do it fast enough you won’t take any damage and only do damage to the rival wolves. When im low on health I tend to just stand still and growl or take false bites at them, any aggro emotes work too
Oh I didn't realize that shaking them off worked like that. I will definitely be trying that all in the next fight. Thank you for your helpful advice! 💕
3:13 lets not talk about the pack leaders being potential SIBLINGS
LIVE LAUGH LOVE WOLF IN THE SAGE!!!!!! I am super excited to watch this Episode!! I love your videos sage!!:D
I'm so happy you love my videos! Thank you so much for being here!! 😁
A tip that I use often is to target the younger wolves during large wolf fights, and continuously woofing at your packmates during the fight so that you don't have to pay attention to their health. I loved the video! <3
Thank you!!! This is quite helpful :) I appreciate it!
Glad I could help :p
yay!!
I want to add, there are many benefits from wearing the elk out. If you chase them for a good 2-4 minutes they will get increasingly tired. They will run slower, the weaker ones will even slow to a trot, and they will do SIGNIFICANTLY less damage. It takes longer, but if you are in a situation with lower health and starving, then this strategy can save your butt.
!!CHALLENGE IDEA!! Challange, have a wolf that is boldperhaps want to have a LARGE territory. This means you must have at least 25+ hex's and at least be the 2nd biggest territory on the map. If you get a hex invasion or an attack by stranger wolves you must roll a dice to see how much hex's you must steal from them in return. If you bold you can kill both pack leaders in order to keep the competition down for pups and claim that territory since that pack is no longer a survivor. A wolf that loves hunting must have at least 2 elk herds within her territory. You must also only kill the larger animals or animals with full health if they are an Elk, or calf. Because the more health the better meat. You must also greatly damage a wolf, or somewhat of a threat if you see them and see them as threatening. And if you get a coyote attack you must either kill them or chase them off 5 hex's or more away. You may lose hex's if you wish but by the end of the year your pack must be known as the dangerous pack for no stranger wolves. And a pack with 25+ hexes. This must be done on accurate\challenging mode. !!!CHALLENE IDEA!!
I took over Oxbow on Slough Creek as an accurate Ironwolf yearling runt.
Raised all three of her pups of the year, too! It made the wolf I was playing have a really cool backstory, so I wanted to play more, but runt gameplay sounds painful 😅
I killed 4 packs in less than 2 years with an accurate ironwolf. I killed 29 wolves literally alone... My mate was useless 😂
Dang that's impressive! I'm still a little scared of playing an ironwolf on accurate 😅😭 But you give me hope haha!
@wolfinthesage Just awoid elks with full health and do not bite any bear just run around, thats all the wolf fights pretty easy 🙃
bro ur wolves were sort of starving by 1:41:54-1:44:03 💀, i got a bit wary, but relaxing video as always 👍
Honestly I was stressing too at that point 😭 I couldn't find any elk in the valley so I was settling for mule deer, which was just not feeding the pack but I was desperate. Definitely a lesson learned on when to start looking for food with such a large pack in accurate!
31:45
Oh im so sad,I'll explain right away, it doesn't work for me at all, I tried it for the second time and every time I slept on their territory, it never worked, they kept biting me and hurting me.
Darn that's so frustrating! I'm not really sure what makes the leader wolf become unhostile. I've done 3 pack takeovers now with other wolves, and you have to wake up and run out of the territory immediately if the pack wolves are hostile to avoid injury. I always sleep on the very edge of the territory for an easy escape when they are hostile. Then I sleep outside of the territory to pass more time, then enter, sleep, encounter hostile wolves, exit, sleep, repeat until the lead wolf appears and is no longer hostile. For me it has just always happened eventually, but I am also hearing that the mateless lead wolf can eventually find a new mate besides you, so that makes it that much more challenging. Good luck and let me know if you need any other help, you got this!!
I was quite shocked on how simple it was for accurate. With a wolf with -health and strength it’s all about being strategic ❤! It is possible haha
Me too! It's really exciting to be able to immediately jump to such a large pack in accurate. It is definitely a learning experience for me on how to take care of the older pups and yearlings, as this is my first playthrough with wolves those ages in my pack. But it's been so fun so far! 😁
@ oh for sure! So happy we get a chance of an instant family!! I’m playing through it right now and honestly it’s brought so much realism and fun. Especially in accurate it definitely tests your skills
Hi! What’s the skin you are using called for Dandelion?
Dandelion has the young version of the White Lady coat! 😊
Soo cool
How did you become a rival pack leader I can’t do it
It takes some patience! You must take down the pack leader that is the same gender as you so that their mate is available to you. Then you have to keep going back and forth into the pack territory until the remaining pack leader appears and it courtable. This part especially takes time, as the remaining pack leader is usually hostile the first few encounters, at least in my experience. Just court the remaining leader until the heart is full like you would with any other potential mate. Then you can become the pack leader immediately, there is no trial period!
Does it work on easy mode as swell
@@wolfinthesage does it work on easy as well
Yes it works on easy as well! 😁
44:57 rock being a fiesty little guy

I DIDNT KNOW WOLFQUEST WOULD ALLOW THAT MANY WOLVES IN ONE PACK- TY WQ DEVS 34:54
I was so happy when all of them appeared!!
im not jealous… 𝖎𝖒 𝖓𝖔𝖙 𝖏𝖊𝖆𝖑𝖔𝖚𝖘
OMG REAL😭
How did you find such a big back
Honestly I think it was just luck that there were so many in this pack! But I think all packs are capable of growing to this size over time in the saga 😊
"big back" 💀💀💀
Im a bit late to this one-
Better late than never! 😁💕
Yes, you can idk about on accurate... but, I was able to on easy mode
Yeah I did manage to do it on accurate mode! 😊But I got lucky and the lead female spawned with lowish health and with only one other wolf. I think it really varies in difficulty depending on if the lead wolf is injured/low health, and if they have many companion wolves with them.
@@wolfinthesage I saw! Good Job!
I love how relaxing your videos are!
Thank you! I'm happy you like them 😁
