I build things, fix things, fish and hunt for things, and I love my community. So there maybe a bit of all of that. How to's, reviews, trips, local tours....
Exploring One of Florida's Best Beach Towns
In this video we are exploring one of Florida's best kept secrets, Port St. Joe, FL. What it lacks in over the top tourist attractions, outlet mall shopping, chain restaurants, and that typical 30A upscale vacation experience it more than makes up for in smaller crowds, old Florida charm, southern hospitality, and God's natural beauty...oh yeah the fishing is pretty good too. While some may not like the rural location of this beach secret, we know there are others that like exploring out of the way places that are truly treasures. And yes we are formal local bias on this one... we think the footage speaks for itself. The good news there are plenty of other places along the Forgotten and Nature Coast just like it read to be explored.

Bass Fishing in Kayak Joe Wheeler State Park
Original Doc’s seafood in Orange Beach 1# , Tin Top also good but pricey
We will have to give it a try the next time we’re down. Thanks for watching.
Great video!
Thanks for watching!
Gotta hit Tacky Jacks in Gulf Shores
We have heard good things… honestly there are so many good restaurants in the area (like most areas along the Gulf Coast) it’s hard to include them all. Thx for watching.
I used to live there. Before all the hotels and condos blocked the view of the water and there were still sand dunes up to 20 ft high! The good old days for me!
We remember places in the FL Panhandle that were the same, but nature did those in before development did.
Any other places you recommend? I'm from LA, Lower Alabama! 😂😂❤❤ How is Lake Guntersville area? Have you ever stayed there?
Guntersville is beautiful too. (Arguably the best fishing in the area). The state park has tiny cabins that I believe are fairy new due to tornado damage. We may do a video there soon. We are to the west so visit Wheeler more. The state park Cabins are nice there (large & full size) Also generally a little less busy than G’ville.
Going in a week It was great last year Beautiful town
Have fun
Visiting Gulf Shores next month. Taking our own Crystals Hot Sauce LOL! Thanks for the video and all the tips.
Ha! Besides the lack of Crystals it’s a great area. And May should be a good month to visit before full Summer crowds.
Tennessee sucks
Shrimp basket is always good, along with wenzeils/not sure about the spelling. They have great oysters and shrimp poboys!
Thx - We will be sure to check them out next trip.
Best place EVER!
We agree, can’t wait to go back
The Oyster House is one of the best.
Agreed
We visited Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge October 2022…first time there. We will definitely check out Townsend in the near future.
You will not regret it. We are far from “Smokey Mt” experts. But we really enjoyed it more (especially during a very busy time of year in PF & Gat)
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching. We can’t wait to get back to the area.
*PromoSM*
I always have cocktail sauce with oysters, but hot sauce works too! Great video - I will definitely be checking out OOH!
Thx 4 watching.
I used to help out at the bird sanctuary and I currently live less than two miles from it and that laughing seagull call is still the exact same dang call 10 years later hahaha
The sanctuary was unplanned, and a nice surprise bonus for us. We can’t to make it back that way. Thx for watching.
Worcestershire is the best thing to put on oysters on the half shell plus a little horseradish....
….And Crystals hot sauce. 😬. Thx for watching.
I just assume go to Florida or orange Beach for a getaway then go somewhere fancy for the honeymoon
Being originally from FL, Gulf Shores (area) was a pleasant surprise for us, & really everywhere we ate was great. Thx for watching.
When did they start charging to get to the falls? They’ve never done that. That sucks!
Not sure, but we didn't mind considering it was minimal. And many of the other State Parks in Alabama are free to enter. But we appreciate you watching.
@@4millerbilt176 I guess we will go in the lower way and climb to the top. Done it before
Ok
