I think the Behringer with normal speech sounded better than the Shure. Singing was better with the Shure.
Cool.
Great video good work thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice video!
Thank you very much!
The Atem Mini is actually a pretty cool mixer for audio too cause on top of the two stereo line in ports you can hook up HDMI embedders from for example Luxorparts (Amazon) to each camera feed. HDMI from the camera in to the embedder then HDMI out from the embedder in to the Atem Mini HDMI port. The embedders have stereo audio inputs. This gives you 6 stereo independent audio inputs. In the software mixer for the Atem Mini you can do additional tweaking. I sometimes use both the USB output (in to my computer) and the HDMI output on the Atem Mini in to a Camlink 4k so that works too.
A very creative solution! There is quite a powerful mixer built into the ATEM with digital processing for each channel.
Here in Japan now and thinking to buy one. Is it okay plugging it in a 220V directly? Since japan is 100V rating. Thank yoy.
I'm afraid that's something you will need to ask your retail there in Japan as I have no idea.
I never ran a board but was given 2 from a church. 2 mackies as payment for cleaning out the church. 1 32x8 and 1 24x8. I have no idea how to run them. Hopefully I can learn from these videos.
You'll find that they are quite similar I think.
Great video and testing.. Thank you..
You're welcome!
Really helped me to understand the inputs and outputs. I will be using it for a ceremony this week. 😊
Glad it helpful!
Where would I connect a powered 4 channel headphone amp in this mixer? I tried a single 1/4" TRS from Phones A into the amp, but I was only getting my right earphone.
Well that's weird. If you're not using the RCA outputs you could use a stereo RCA to 1/4 TRS cable to drive the headphone amp. 👍
God bless you ❤
Thanks!
Really great
Glad it was helpful!
Subbed. I'm purchasing a defective 2442 and I am glad someone out here in youtube put a very good detailed video in about this mixer. I'm excited to repair it and hope I get to enjoy it fully in the year 2025. Cheers!
Thanks, good luck with the repair!
Cheers
Thanks!
Thanks Tim. Digital is taking over the analog. It's a bit pricey for me. I had just put in a new sound system 2 years ago that is analog. Digital sound is so much better. Soon to be the only way I think. Phil
I'm a firm believer that analog still has a place in audio systems. In the United States, many small churches just need a basic mixer with hard controls that will last for many years. They might be only using one to three inputs each week. However, for larger churches, where things are much more complex, digital is definitely the way to go.
Could you please explain abt the PFL button when to use it for recording or online feeding
PFL (Pre Fader Listen) will route the audio to your headphone. It shouldn't affect your recording or Livestream feed, unless you're using your headphones output to feed these which I don't recommend. This board has an analog RCA record output which will not be affected by PFL and will mirror the levels of your main mix. I have a I a video explaining several different ways to connect your mixer for Livestream th-cam.com/video/eBGNTO00nwg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JGgF79sAmRI2cjcd You might also find this video helpful. th-cam.com/video/BZhW5OZC4pc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BgJ7jGR75RtN-T9K.
I mix for the local church band and I use the x-32 in house, but when we go on location I use the X2222usb, thank you for pointing out some features I didn't know where to find, great tutorial..
Glad to help!
You rock bud! Thanks so much for continuing to enlighten me.
Wow! Thanks for the Super, I really appreciate it!
I get the general need for shielding. But my curiosity wonders, if phantom power is off, does it still get the same hum? Is it a lack of ground issue too?
Interesting question. 🤔 I'll try that and let you know.
? Have any idea if these work for the model CT-200?
I believe the CT-200 has the installed mode but I don't own one so I can't be sure. However, I just ordered one so look for a future video. 😃
Awesome explanation!!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. God bless you
You're welcome! I'm glad you found it helpful.
It was helpful, thanks good person on TH-cam.
You're welcome good watcher!
Hi I would be obliged if you could explain a bit more on the utility of the FX Out port on the back. The manual gives a very shoddy explanation, or perhaps, assumes the reader as an expert. My confusion is why would one need this port if you have AUX Sends? Is this a 5th Aux Send?
It's an additional output from the internal FX unit. What ever you mix on Aux 3 will also come out on this output. Plugging into it will not mute the FX going to the main output. Hope that helps.
Great info and well presented, thanks!
My pleasure!
Rode M5 congratulations
Thanks 👍
Thank you for this detailed explanation.

Sorry Guys, had to re-upload this one due to a weird copyright issue with my intro music. 🤔
Do you know if there is a way for a commentator/announcer to to give play by play on a livestream that they are not present at? So we want to livestream our college lacrosse club games. But the announcer will be at home, not at the game.

Sir could you give the basics about digital mixing boards please...you are so cool at explaining 😊😊
Well, I can certainly can do that but there's one problem. I'm not rich and digital mixers are expensive. I don't even own this digital mixer anymore. So the next time I can borrow a digital mixer, there will be another video. 😀
Rode M5 well done Tim keep up the awesome work
Thanks 👍

These are great tutorials! I'm new to analog mixing and Behringer, and this answers every question except 1. So, if you're still reading these comments: what is the signal path to use, if I want to get Internal FX into my monitor mix? The manual and other resources give examples for an external FX processor, but not so much about internal FX. Any suggestions?
So unfortunately there is no internal routing of the FX to the Monitors on this board. You could try this work around. Using a TRS to TRS 1/4" cable, patch the FX OUT into the LINE IN on one of your empty Mono channels (let's say channel 8.) Un-assign channel 8 out of Mains. Turn up the gain on Channel 8 to about 12 o'clock. Add what ever you want to FX using AUX 3. Then you can add FX to Aux 1, 2 or 4 using the knobs on Channel 8. Do NOT add channel 8 to Aux 3, because that is the FX bus, so you'll get FX routed to FX which just ends up being a mess - try it and you'll see what I mean. 😛 Happy Routing.
Without a doubt the best and most comprehensive explanation of a mixing desk I've bee able to find. My daughter is just starting singing gigs with a guitarist and their own material. I work in sound as a freelancer in the TV industry and will do her mixing but she also wants to record their music. With this tutorial to help her I'm now confident she'll be ok. Thank you very much.
Thanks! I made it because I was unhappy with other tutorials on TH-cam at the time.
Hi Tim, what is the best gooseneck mic for lecterns in your opinion?
In my opinion Earthworks FMR series is the best. My church has had one for many years and it sounds amazing, it's built like a tank and it's available in multiple lengths.
Can you recommend a set of wireless microphones compatible with my Yamaha 600 BT that won't break the bank for karaoke?
Sure! a.co/d/3X2UWBw
Great tutorial.
Thank you!
Are capsules interchangeable? Does Behringer sell replacement filters? Or will the Shure filters work?
No capsules are not interchangeable. Not sure if Behringer sells parts for this but it seems to be a pretty standard size I'm pretty Shure that a Microflex pop screen will work. 😉
Linux has a software solution called PulseEffects / EasyEffects, but I have not yet found a good software like that on Windows. Any suggestions?
Check out Voicemeeter Potato. That might be what you are looking for.
I can relate to so much of what you said. Thank you for your insight.

EV Evolve 50s sound great!
Yes! Evolve 50s are a good option. I also recommend RCF Evox series.
We did portable church for 7 years. Well, actually, it was set-up, tear down full church for 400 people 2x a week. Plus very large meetings 3x a year. In a gym. It got old...long analog snake...ugh
Glad that's over I'm sure. 😁
Im getting input levels with my XLR cables connected go my mic when i talk but no output, volume knobs are turned appropriately and I have it connected directly to the speaker. I am using a SM57 mic not sure if thats a problem. In any case ive tried troubleshooting but cant get output anyone else have this issue and know how to resolve it?
Hmm. These are pretty foolproof. Have you confirmed that the mic is working using another mixer or interface?
Great video. I bought this mixer, and I’m disappointed I can’t do 4 stereo monitor mixes out of the sub outs. I thought these would be associated with the 4 aux knobs on each channel. 😢
Yes, sub outs levels only mirror the main mix. Thanks for watching.
Is there a graphic EQ?
Yes there's a graphic EQ on each output so one for the mains and one for each aux mix. It also has dbx AFS 2 automatic feedback filtering built-in.
@@proclaimav4197 thank you
