Side By Side - Oh We Ain't Got A Barrel Of Money!
The warning cries of "Keep it Barbershop!" within SPEBSQSA circles some years ago were not in vain. I've heard some present day quartets attempt to tackle this gem. But with all due respect, their "squeeze them by the throat" approach to harmony flat out does not work. THIS is how it's done, folks. Great job here. That said, for what it's worth, for my money, the definitive Barbershop version goes to the one done by pick up quartets within the San Gabriel Harmony Statesmen chorus back in the 1980s: Dick Briel, Al Zook, Merv Kennedy, Lee Steitz, Bill Dostalek, Bill Nigh, Stan Brown, Bob Smith, Devin Brewer and their esteemed colleagues. Job over the top well done, gentlemen.
❤...
Magnificent! I can only imagine how it would have sounded with a good microphone. Beautiful.
Awsome Video Man.. My favorite came near the end.. a white woody 76 Grand Safari. I learned to drive on ours when it was new and drove it everyday to a local college. Had a 455 4bbl. Ours was the same but completely loaded with the key sport mirrors, key colored rally II wheels, cornering lamps, courtesy lights in the doors 3 seat power gate and everything electric too. Ours was cream with wood and kept meticulous and garaged. My parents were anal.. now I am too!! Lol Thanks Again Sir!!
Stratford ? What state is this ?
You can see how station wagons fell out of favor when they got too flat by the 1970s. Ramblers made some of the best wagons ever.
Thought this would be about International Travelalls. Nice but disappointed.
Genial idea de hacer especiales los autos con modelos de familias! No tienes más fotos del evento! Gracias!
Nice cars, shaky camera.
Looks like an awesome event. While I'm not against SUVs and "crossovers", there's something I've always liked about old-school station wagons.
Of course you do. They're GRRREAT Memphis Dan LeLoLai
Once again another phenomenal group of motor cars have been outlawed out of existence due to a replacement mentality that Congress forces electric golf cars for a replacement that is designed to fail the user’s needs.
Very nice. I'm not familiar with this International Station Wagon Club. The one I know about is the ASWOA. I love station wagons, especially from the 60s, 70s and early 80s.
If any person donet his car . content me please.
Had a 1970 Ford LTD Squire wagon. Pure luxury. Wish I had it back.Today you get less car for a lot more money.
Believe it or not I miss the old station wagons Ilike them better than Cross overs and SUVs.
6:17 - Love the license plate on the Pinto. "KBOOM"
So beautiful! God bless them all!
Joke i on me. I thought that was gong to be a video about a rare International Harvester wagon
It'd be a smaller meet for sure if they only allowed Travelalls
When I was a kid wagons were everywhere. Today they are a scarces as icebergs in the desert.
Not even one '67 chevy caprice wagon. Maybe not the most beautiful, but indeed very rare.
I didn't realize IH built station wagons. Cool video.
I miss the station wagons and the convertibles. I'm not a fan of SUVS.
Nice to see all of that superb cars. Shame that the clip maker seems is playing maracas while filming.
Classic cars are the best
Nice choice of material.
I wasn't aware that international made a station wagon
Wow
My friend has a 69 Chevrolet wagon his folks bought new. Compared to today, wagons were unique and if course had character.
My Dad bought his last brand-new car in '69. He wanted the Caprice wagon, but the salesman didn't think Dad could afford it, just being a sergeant in the army, and tried to steer him to the Chevelle. But with 5 little kids getting bigger every day, Dad wanted a full-sizer. Imagine that salesman's reaction when my father drove by to show him our new Mercury Colony Park!
@@trudygreer2491 Interesting! Ironically I actually have a Chevelle my grandad purchased 8/12/72. It's a 2 door coupe small block 350 V8. It's not a wagon, but tons of memories are in that old car. I'm glad that your father showed the salesman his new Mercury Colony Park Station Wagon. It would be awesome if you still have it too. Automobiles of today just don't do anything for me. I'd be happy driving an old Plymouth Valiant with a good slant six engine. No computer chips.
I LOVE OLD WAGONS
Back in the day, nothing used to say "The American Dream" like a big fat station wagon!
That Rambler guy with all the models was a SW junkie! The Dodge Magnum should not have been there, because there was no sedan version of that car. The whole beauty of a SW is that it's a variation of something else, same front, different back. (PS - I HATE SUVs!)
Great video of wagons first one I seen
Surprised there was no 60s Nova Wagons
beautiful
had a 62 rambler wagon loved that car
Wow, I had the '59 Rambler Ambassador, I bought it for $275 in '76. Ha ha
a better look at the cars would be nice and not just a walk by = sack the camera man !
They need to bring back different sized and priced wagons they would be a lot more fuel efficient than those gd suvs
So cool, sure wish I had made it to this meet....
The 58 Town & Country Chrysler was tops!
Got seasick watching this buy a tripod ($25)
I thought the videographer had Parkinson's Disease.
Maybe the worst camera man ever. Almost the worst, next to me. Just hand over that camera to a complete stranger.
Love the video. You managed a quick glimpse of a lot of gorgeous cars. Love wagons.
Finish up.got into the air force, lost girl friend, but the old Chevy 11 memories live on.
63 Chevy 11 wagon.took to my senior prom in 68.dads carpenter work car.six cylinder three on the tree.held my girl and shifted left handed.got dra
Since when does a lot full of station wagons justify playing old fifties songs on a loudspeaker? Most of those wagons arent even very old. I guess some numbskull thought it was a bright idea. Thats really fuckin stupid! 😏
i can jam wit dis
Great video.... some amazing wagons bring back some awesome memories!!!
When and where is the next show Providenceguyri???
this ought to be named "American station wagon club ..."
