Welcome back to AOAC Reviews!! Today we will be reviewing a locomotive I’ve been wishing for for a long time now, Athearns new HO scale Amtrak P42DC 161 in the 50th Anniversary Phase I livery with DCC and Sound. In addition to the locomotive, we will also be reviewing a Kato HO scale Amtrak Superliner sleeper car as an add on to my own Coast Starlight train that I’m currently working on.

9:35 for the case of train 11, me and my dad were shopping at Walmart near this location and I got word that this train would be passing through within the next 30 minutes at that time, so we decided to head back to the crossing to wait for the train to pass

That GN F7 operated on the Seattle and North Coast RR on Washington's Olympic Peninsula in the early 1980s. It got stranded here when SP's Tillamook Branch washed out along the Salmonberry River years ago and it's too expensive to barge it back to its home in Portland.

You couldn't hear the locomotive engine at all?
@@adventuresofamtrakcascades301 only horn and bells. should i press 8 on my controller because the instructions says prime mover sound and start up

It seems great when amtrak is still running their horizon cars in the Washington state area but I miss them being in the Chicago area but now it's too bad that Siemens venture have taken over and you know I am going to really miss 😢 amtrak's horizon and amfleet cars when they are put in storage they were the best cars on amtrak, this is Isaiah wiley from myrtle Beach south Carolina saying hello and great amtrak video keep up with the great work.

Am I the only one that likes the look of the Talgo 8? (I like both the Talgo 6 and 8)
Maybe so, probably because we much prefer the Series 6 a lot more
