    Still, if pleasure is anything resembling a virtue, one must ask, what about people who gain a great quality of pleasure from hurting others?

    • @HeroesJourneys
      @HeroesJourneys หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s a deep one! Hum I would say that your question raises a profound philosophical debate: whether humans are inherently good or evil by nature. This age-old question has been explored by philosophers for centuries. For instance, Rousseau believed that humans are naturally good but corrupted by society, while Hobbes argued that without the constraints of social contracts, humans would default to a state of selfishness and conflict. It’s fascinating how your point ties into this larger discussion about the ethical boundaries of pursuing pleasure. This also touches on one of the key limitations of hedonism: if someone derives pleasure from harmful actions, does that pleasure justify their behavior? This is why philosophies like utilitarianism take a different approach, emphasizing the well-being of the collective. True happiness, from a utilitarian perspective, involves actions that maximize the good for the greatest number of people-ensuring that one person’s pleasure doesn’t come at the expense of others. I dive deeper into these questions and philosophical perspectives in my longer video, and I’d truly value your feedback if you get the chance to watch it! th-cam.com/video/21BgNwU8Gys/w-d-xo.html Take care.

    Yeah this is not for me, comparing philosophy and spirituality with movies from Hollyweird just isn't right. With their dark agenda. Granted the Matrix was a great Movie and it did awaken many, i am pretty sure they regret it now

      @HeroesJourneys หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching and sharing your perspective! I totally understand where you’re coming from. But the intention wasn’t to compare movies to philosophy directly, but rather to use iconic movie heroes as a way to illustrate timeless philosophical ideas in a relatable way. For example, The Matrix serves as a powerful metaphor for awakening and seeking truth. I really appreciate you engaging with the content and sharing your thoughts even if you disagree-it means a lot! Hope you’ll find more inspiration in my other videos. Have a good day.

      Great point, Dylan. In my opinion, Maximus’ actions go beyond personal vengeance by confronting Commodus publicly, ensuring his fight restores honor and exposes the truth to the people of Rome. Or perhaps, we could call it a very sophisticated form of vengeance, one that intertwines with a higher sense of justice.

    To be real, Vegeta had way more natural talent than Goku Goku started with such a weak power level that he could barely destroy a planet as a baby. Well Vegeta was considered a saying elite not because his father was king Vegeta, but because his power level was just that high, I think we’re also forgetting the fact that Vegeta didn’t train pretty much an entire day his entire life until he met Goku and lost

    • @hash2485
      @hash2485 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don’t get me wrong I like Vegeta more than I even like Goku, but it’s disingenuous and just downright wrong to say Goku is the talented one and Vegeta is the one who has to work hard if anything it’s completely the other way around Goku has to work for almost every power he gets in the series while because of Vegeta disposition and demeanor. He gets rage boosts all the time and other seemingly arbitrary power ups just to keep him relevant and at Goku’s level this isn’t the case throughout the entire series, but there are more times when Vegeta power level is artificially inflated for the plot rather than Goku’s

    • @HeroesJourneys
      @HeroesJourneys หลายเดือนก่อน

      You’re right, Vegeta had immense potential from the start.. But it’s fascinating how meeting Goku pushed him to go beyond his limits. Without their rivalrry, where do you think he’d be today?

    • @HeroesJourneys
      @HeroesJourneys หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s an interesting point! Goku is constantly working to improve, while Vegeta sometimes gets those plot-driven boosts… But their rivalry really pushes both of them to incredible heights, doesn’t it?

    • @hash2485
      @hash2485 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@HeroesJourneys it’s kind of hard to say where Vegeta would be without Goku theoretically, he’d probably either be still working for freezer or dead because freezer would have killed him we’re definitely right that there rivalry pushes each other specifically Vegeta to new Heights that would never have happened without Goku, but at the end of the day, it’s canon that king Vegeta blew up three planets with the literal swipe of his hand while Bardock was getting overwhelmed by low class, no named Warriors Goku is 100% all hard work to Bridge the gap between him and Vegeta Vegeta then had to work hard afterwards to keep up with Goku, but when Vegeta was added into the story, it was also to give you the nurture over nature argument, while Vegeta was deep within his nature and naturally strong Goku needed to be nurtured and martial arts to grow into a strength

    • @HeroesJourneys
      @HeroesJourneys หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah, this reminds me of the classic debate between ‘innate’ and ‘acquired’ traits! Philosophers like John Locke argued for the idea of tabula rasa, that we startt as a blank slate and are shaped by our environment-much like Goku, who trained and grew through nurture and martial arts. On the othe hand, thinkers like René Descartes and evolutionary biologists later emphasized innate qualities, which aligns with Vegeta’s raw, natural power. So in aa way, Vegeta vs. Goku embodies this timeless philosophical debate-nature or nurture, what truly defines greatness?

    I love being alive spectator or player of life young beasts frolicking the old sedate in the stillness of the hot day’s evening cloud teasing the droughted earth cattle raising listless heads already on Winter’s rations. Or sat in timelessness with seconds ticking to needing tea, or leave before the night’s chill, or lucid air in a morning wood after the night’s rain, the first veil of Autumn’s dance lightly on the ground a folly on yonder hill as morsel dandled. The only constant change. A paddle of duck at the tapas bar of lily the canal in and out, a python swallowed clutch of eggs the faithful reading the advertiser’s literature child showing 6d as evidence of tooth fairy, a planet calm with outbreaks of violence. The desperate actors, look at me, look at me, oh, oh, please look at me, look, look at meee. And walk again, gates polished by leather palms a ruin smothered in nostalgia. The reason for death is obvious in a forest the fallen and the falling and the sprouted seed. One day there will be no me, wondering why I no longer exist.

That being said, personally, adding meaning to what I do, even though I know it’s very subjective, helps me move forward in life.
