Middle school G is the only fingering that is really "in tune" on my Yamaha 👍😎 nice vid thanks & greets from Germany 🇩🇪
Fanstastic exercise!!

i wanted to know about the side and trill keys and the banana keys, i ve seen the fingering charts, and only the second banan key appears in the 3rd register, im still baffled
great tone
Enjoy your clarinet. Backing makes great instruments but it’s all personal! God bless you. Bill. UK

You're the prettiest and most alive Clarinet teacher I've seen..your dedication and enthusiasm are infectious. I've learned more form you in 11 minutes than in years about sane, logical fingerings. All 5 tips very welcomed. Your tone is superb. Nice Clari....
I play alto sax and the fact that the clarinet can go this high is insane to me. I'm in 8th grade and the highest note I've ever played is what you would call a super G (keep in mind that this is pitched in Eb, so this is pitched a full step below the highest C on the piano) and that note takes so much air that I've only ever hit it once and it snapped my reed in half. I still have the remnants.🎷
Great tips, Rucha! Especially No. 4.
This is so good, thank you so much.

Good fine
Impressive!
No help for anyone except the player's ego
This is a great exercise for dexterity and fluency
❤Impressive 😊😊
Im going to symphonic band any tips on how to tongue smoother
Just touch the tip of your tongue to the reed and say “tuh” in your mouth while you do it.
Good morning! How are you? All good? I hope so! First of all, I would like to thank you for the content made available here, it has helped me a lot. I am visually impaired and trying to learn clarinet on my own. I have been playing string instruments for approximately 25 years, however I was very surprised by the difficulty in going through the initial stage of learning wind instruments. Part of the frustration comes from the fact that I expect to get a perfect sound from the clarinet just like the instruments I've played for decades, but I soon realized that blowing and strumming/plucking are different things (; Anyway... After watching 100 videos about embouchure, I noticed that I had 100 different opinions about the same process. Bearing in mind that the ultimate goal is to get a good sound out of the instrument, I would like your opinion on the following questions: 1) Assuming I can get the sound I'm going for with a "non usual" mouth shape, should I bother changing my embouchure to something more "traditional"? 2) More or less a continuation of the question above: What would be advisable to avoid creating bad habits? (I learned all my instruments on my own and I know how bad technique developed at the beginning can get in the way in the future) 3) Which parts of the face should be tense and which should be relaxed while playing? This doubt haunts me because I notice that in a short time of practice I can already see tension being created and the sound of the instrument getting "shaky". Once again, thanks for you kind gesture of sharing knowledge about music. Sorry for the broken angleish (;
Wow! Incredible!
I have huge difficulty with low E, F, F# and when to start with the left hand and when to start with the right hand. Same with B & C below treble staff. It's doing my head in because watching a mirror image of someone else or in a mirror doesn't help me figure out which keys I'm actually meant to use. Fingering charts can also be confusing. Anyone? 😦
Thanks! very helpful for me and my students!
Omggg🎉 awsome
Fantástic lesson! Thank you
Great tips! I never thought about breaking up the chromatic scale into pieces. I will try it. Thanks!
im just impressed, just wow
Wow 😊😊
Amazing additional history lesson thank you
Thank you for the great video! On chalemau I have perfect pitch but the second I switch to lower clarion, I'm a quarter tone too sharp 😢 Help 😅 Ps: I'm Legere 2.0 reeds
Thank for the information. Only two points: 1. The "Clarion" doesn't mean trompet, that word cames from the Brightest sound of the register of an ancient trompet, it is the same for clarinet. 2. In the description you wrote in the low register E1-Bb2, I think that you maybe wanted to say E1-E2? I guess because the other sound are from the throat register, right?
You are Very good! Your sound is nice! Thank you for sharing 👏
HOW!?!!? I could never
Gracias 👍… nice!
I play clarinet to
Omg I play the clarinet what are th3 notes and that is awsome
all of them literally from the lowest to the highest and back to the lowest
Im in 8th grade and can get the really high a out.
Really good lesson thanks!🙏🙏🙏
O que tenho que estudar para fazer uma igual a essa?
5:56 "This is where we start to get pretty high" hehe
The “flip” Bb / B was such a simple solution. And some of the other fingerings. Practicing in 5 note sections is a nice idea. It makes it easier to want to practice. I am in a funk lately and my teacher said to work on simple exercises to practice each day. This little class will do the trick! Thanks . Subscribed.
Your fan from morroco... Bravo
wow....did NOT know you could play F# with the side 3 and 4 keys!!! TY!!!
Thank You Master!
When demonstrating the low chromatic, please let the fingers be seen in the camera for all to see. Thanks for your series!
My Eb is very flat. I have everything pushed in tight. On my Bb I am finding I am sharp when I play on a #3 reed but I'm in tune with a #2.5. As I work more on the harder read, I am more in tune. Could reed strength be the cause of being so flat?
You are an amazing teacher
Thanks, that's useful. I was curious to know what you would recommend for the Bb/Eb options that can substitute the RH side-key 1 for the LH sliver key (ring-key) but perhaps that would be for another video. I remember I had to change the fingerings I used for chromatic scales when I changed teacher. It was really hard because my chromatic scales were already fast and automatic. I had to slowly reteach my fingers right from the beginning. In the end I came up with a combination of fingerings that works for me. I use the LH sliver key, that I mentioned, and also I use the normal F# fingering (no side-key) when I'm coming down. In the end I think there are many different combinations that can be used and it seems that every clarinetist I meet has a different set of fingerings for the chromatic scale. The ones you've given here seem to be the most practical and most effective for most cases though.
sounds like flight of the bumblebee in a way 🤔
Yea, flight of the bumblebee is actually just chromatic scales.

Great video, love your sound! After watching this I decided to give it a go on bass clarinet! th-cam.com/video/egZSl6nWScs/w-d-xo.html
