@ Asalam Alaikum wa RamutAllahi wa Barakatuh. Allah, Most High, says, “Do not argue with the People of the Book unless gracefully”. Alhamdulilah I am a fellow brother and muslim not a even a kafir. We should be calm and address each other with adab and gracefully, not demanding someone “answers them”. And yes I have heard myself. Did either you or him, genuinely pick up a commentary of the burdah and read it’s meanings and find that it is saying what the sheikh is claiming? I’ve read multiple explanations and none say this. This is poetry and within poetry there are metaphors, references, exaggerations, not everything is meant to be taken literally on the surface level with no context. That’s what the khawarij do. Also I asked have you seen the great ulema that know much more than either you or me and their permitting and approval of the burdah? You haven’t addressed either of these points.

@ Listen to the seerah and then comment. Most of his knowledge is from the salaf. First listen to it, then check the sources, then make your judgement. For example, the lecture you are referring to, he has outsourced it from the legendary ibn kathir who wrote Seerah tun Nabi, everything can be linked back to Ibn Kathir’s book from 700 H to 774 H. Check for yourself then let me know what you found 😊
