Beetlejuice Beetlejuice - Movie Review
This movie felt really similar to the game Jusant. Very similar actually
Rebel Ridge is awesome! Glad it got a mention.
My top 7 are 1. Dune 2 2. Exhibiting Forgiveness 3. Sing Sing 4. Furiousa 5. Gladiator 2 6. A Different Man 7. I Saw the TV Glow
Have you seen Better Man movie?
I saw the movie on Sunday in theater with mostly kids, and I was pleasantly surprised how quiet, attentive they were....not one peep. I was also impressed...a very immersive experience, escape from my daily life. It was full of emotions and beautiful, timeless spiritual lessons of community and connection.
Norton has a “T” in it.

Sir : Yes, I did see : 'Inconnu complète' ! Personally, I did enjoy this biopic much more than " I am not there " ( also w/ Bob Dylan as the main character ). Your review is fair / accurate. 😊 ☆☆☆☆ 😊
TOP 7 WORST MOVIES OF 2024: 1. Madame Web 2. The Crow 3. Tarot 4. Borderlands 5. Imaginary 6. Joker: Folie Á Deux 7. Back To Black
@@JustinWilliams367 dang never got to the crow or borderlands, but I’m sure they would have been on here.
Wow dude, I’d be shocked if this doesn’t win several awards

Good comment
I've seen it. Definitely recommend it for the animation style and the realism of the cat's movements. I'm the wrong person to ask about any profound aspects but I did feel it expressed the idea that death is part of the cycle of reality, although it eschewed the idea of "nature, red in tooth and claw" which is sadly a part of nature
The movie didn't do good at the box office when it came out. People are trained by marketers to value other stuff. If you let advertisers influence you to much, they will ruin your life. Place stuff into a quality pyramid with different quadrants. If you have a map of the world, it's good to know which country's are advertised to the most and which have unbiased news coverage of international events etc. c span and reuters is a good unbiased new source, ground news is pretty decent too.
Ugh your review is depressing in general.
Yes you are wrong. I and family loved it. Everyone clapped. ❤
Cheer up, buddy.
Should've been a biopic called Joan directed by Sofia Coppolla
Saw it for the first time a few days ago. Without trying to spoil it for anyone, the ending basically goes the root of erasing characters you spent the whole movie becoming attached to. It's like if the open scene of Aliens 3 was the of the movie Aliens.
GOAT Christmas movie
I haven't seen it but from what I hear from you sounds like it's a good one.
Im pissed i didnt get to watch thr 70mm version at the Metreon SF. They were sold out every day 3 months in advanced. And then they didn't extend the 70mm version only the Digital laser was extended 1 more week.
9\ 10 entertaining movie I love it I don't think kids Little kids would like movie it is good for adults as well as teenagers as adult I enjoyed it I like Dwayne Johnson
I am watching it Tomorrow. Thanks for the update
Wicked part 2 is going to enable people to see how amazing the story is. Part one has been fantastic. I’ve seen the musical so many times on the stage. I’ve seen the film three times now and I’m so glad I have. I keep listening to the soundtrack. I am a wicked mad. I’m 61 years old and I’m not ashamed to say it. The girls did amazing absolutely amazing. I’m so proud of them and they should be proud of them themselves too. The music was fantastic. I just knew Stephen Schwartz was not going to let his amazing musical be ruined.
I think the whole idea is ridiculous. Makes no sense. Why does Hollywood put these idiotic spins on the classics. This movie resonates with the college educated and Ariana Grande people. The character of the wicked witch is lost. Don’t get it. Everything in this movie is all computerized graphics. Not real. It is a liberal spin on the beloved Wizard of Oz. Leave the Wizard of Oz alone let it be. Hollywood make your original musicals like they did in that era. Your smart!!!!!!! Try it.
Well it’s a broadway and a book before that. Not Hollywood’s spin
@ It’s the authors spin on the Wizard of Oz a beloved movie which is the story of Dorothy passed out during the storm and dreamt the whole thing and along comes this guy with a book trying to get in the psyche of two fictional characters and sell it to the liberals and turn into a war on diversity etc etc. Leave the Wizard of Oz alone. Make up your own fictional stores.
Okay guys, I’m halfway through your unbearable pile-on discussion and have to check out. I’m glad you liked the first movie, it’s one of my favorites. But with the new film, you have crossed some line where your perception is no longer unbiased and everything is cast in a negative light. Not helpful, and doesn’t make for an enjoyable discussion.
Check out when we do discussions on better movies. Since it is my channel it will be more biased towards my views
@PopularDemand1000 Would love to know why our opinions are biased (we clearly state our love for Ridley and the original Gladiator). We both came to our conclusions independently. Also, rather than just decry our comments without attempting to listen to viewpoints that disagree with your own, try to see film criticism as a subjective thing. The reviews on this movie are mixed for a reason.
Maybe over time people will recognize the deeper themes at play in this film and how timely they are to the condition of the masculine spirit in our own time.
@PopularDemand1000 so just like the original movie? I’d much rather watch that and get the same message. This is a cheap copy of a far superior movie.
What can one say about the direction of today's film industry when the top three money-making films are sequels and prequels??? it doesn't look good to me.
This movie was almost ALL practical sets, which is incredibly impressive and made it 100x better.
The play is fantastic. Give it a try.
It gets 9.9 on the sphincter scale.
The whole point of Wicked is that the original Wizard of Oz painted the wrong picture of The Wicked Witch of the West. Think of the original movie as one person's distorted interpretation of events. Wicked offers a different interpretation.
This move is gay stuff for gay people with two very annoying unlikable woman starring also. Just very odd that hetero reviewers watch this sort of stuff. I really disapprove of the entertainment industry trying to shove gay stuff down hetero's throat..like we must all now have loose sexual morals and loose gender moral because that way they can make way more money. Just a big NO to that. Also it cost them enormous amounts of money because audiences do not fall for it.
2:27 Small spoiler here - that's the whole idea. A big part of the plot, Elphaba is a sorry excuse for a witch, that's what makes her a tragic figure.
Just saw it. Loved it.
2.40hours? Nope.
I found it was a great film if you take a nap in the middle, worked out perfect.
It doesn't feel like 2hrs tho,it's so goood
Agree 100%. Sorry to hear about the disrespectful people in your theater. Also, to those who say 'don't compare it' -- this film constantly compared itself to the first film with flashbacks and musical callbacks. The music actually annoyed me a lot. It was as if Ridley was saying, 'Remember how you felt when you first heard this tune?' and all I could think was, 'Yes. And you have not earned that same emotional reaction with this one.' You can't just play the music from a good film to make a bad one better.
Its rubbish, they paid you to say this, how much.
Bator
So, I get where you are coming from with Elphaba, but she actually isnt supposed to be a witch the way the Wizard of Oz portrays her. The point of the Wicked show is that the people dont like her because she is different or "othered" and the people need an enemy. The book is political and so it mirrors the themes of are people born wicked or do they have wickedness thrust upon them? The show has a lot to do with odds stacked against someone who is different until she's is kind of like, fine if they want different, then that's what they get.
she's not supposed to be nasty in the future, the story is about how ordinary, good characters are villainised -- it's ironic
Man they sure know how to make movies nobody wants to watch
I have seen. It’s awful
I'm glad you warmed up to it. 🙂 I think you're gonna appreciate WICKED: PART TWO (2025), as well.
This is more of a retelling than a prequel - Dorothy arrives in Part 2 which gets pretty - dark.
Heck yes.
Good review! But, how did you come up with 72? Not 71. Not 73. 72. 😅 I would have watched another 5 minutes to see just how you broke it down.
Ohhhh interesting, actually i have a system I use off camera to get me to these numbers. Maybe I should do video on it. This was for Wicked. Wicked Story 5/10 Acting 8/10 Cinematography 8/10 Writing / dialogue 6/10 Editing 7/10 Sound design / music 8/10 Ending 6/10 Effectiveness 7/10 True to its genre ( horror, comedy, etc. ) 9/10 Rewatch ability 6/10 Bonus: +2 for terrific signing Total: 72/100
