Cardiac arrest lesson makes me curious to learn how to save people life
I’ve been told I was a miracle cause I had a widow maker heart attack while driving to the hospital. I was found in my car that I had wrecked by an officer headed into work. Between the officers and emts it took over 20 minutes to get me back from clinical death. I don’t remember anything but I read all the police and hospital records. I’m only 42 I was 41 at the time. My world was shattered.
Phenomenal! Thank you for your work!!
Thank you so much!
I know AHA - now- more empirically evaluates pharmacological interventions. It appears they are not applying that to current dogma based on older studies. It’s amazing how a questionable study grows legs, impacting future practice.
Thank you
In Medic School. Ran a mega code scenario to what I thought was somewhat flawless till I had to determine the location of the STEMI and failed. I’ve been on the struggle bus for cardiac for a good minute. But you guys simplify it so flippin well. My cardiac TSOPs is tomorrow. Wish me luck 🍀
Thank you so much! Keep your head up, you can and will get through it!

How do you know difference between pea and pvt because TX different
@karynmardo4016 Hello! This comes down between rhythm interpretation. If the rhythm is regular with a wide QRS complex and is fast (>150bpm), and pulseless, then we can assume this is pulseless VT! And, we treat this as pulseless ventricular tachycardia/ventricular fibrillation. Any other rhythm that is organized and pulseless, falls into the PEA bucket and is treated via the PEA/asystole algorithm!
Great video Sir. Thank you so much for your time. Paramedic student here.

So 10 of these bottles to equal 1G? if 1G is 1000mg? Am i doing that right?
Hey Shannon! TXA typically comes as 1,000mg/10mL vials, which provides the 1G of medication in a single vial!

Question I’m having trouble with some problems when they mention a bolus. Is that the same thing as saying infusion or iv push? Meaning would i be using the same formula
Hello! IV push is generally referring to pushing a syringe of medication into the IV line/angiocatheter. A "bolus" is often interchangeable with IV push but may referring to a medication or a volume of fluid (250mL bolus, etc.). An infusion refers to a volume of fluid (or medication) over a certain amount of time (150mg of Amiodarone over 10 minutes).
A bolus is usually reffered to a set amount of fluid that is to be administered either slow or just pushed threw the IV. If there are any sets of time in the equation then it becomes an infusion! Hope that helps, or if anyone else has a better way to explain it plz do!
Nice one keep it up 👏
Thank you, Allen!
I’m going through it right now and was down BAD before watching this video. There’s still SO much I need to get where I need to be, but this video completely revolutionized an 8 hr lecture that I didn’t get ANYTHING out of. Thank y’all so much!
