Yes! Baby food jars are fantastic for having little indestructible treat pockets everywhere you interact with your dog! Bonus:: many baby foods are just “chicken and water” or “veggies and water”, so you can add baby food to your dog’s enrichment!

What do you do when you first bring it home and it has to sleep in the kennel but barks and cries all night? And what if you have a full time job and can’t be home to potty train it? I’m hoping my manager will let me bring her to work 🤞🏼

I wouldn't give the dog a treat. It may think, "Hmm, I bark, s/he psst sprays, I stop, I get a treat. Hey I'll bark again!". Marine/Sports spray would probably work better. Let the dog see the horn canister, so it will associate it with "I bark, I get a pain in my ears, I stop, no more honks.".

First time i am ever commenting in youtube, but this video deserves it:) this was immensely helpful! Thank you so much.. i think this will help improve the quality of the training for my dog..when he is triggered he goes completely blind, keeps barking until he calms himself down.. i always felt like “if there could be something which gives me 2 seconds of silence i could catch his attention again..”. This tool seems very much like it does the job.. just ordered.. all the recommendations were really helpful in this video, thank you!

Does size matter you think? Haha I give my dog a tiny piece but if she accomplishes something new I taught I’ll give her the whole treat I wonder if that matters to the pup

You don’t “poison” a word and have to use a new word and can never use that word again. An association simply has yet to be made or has yet to be learned between the desired behavior and the vocal command or gesture. The word is not ruined for good. The unconditioned stimulus does not have to change, you just need more patience and a more obvious form of reward or punishment to pair with said unconditioned stimulus (voice or gesture). Yes you’ve exhausted it but it doesn’t go bad or have an expiration date, again it just has yet to be learned.
