    I %100 believe that without charity we are nothing! 😀. I have had my share of grudges and yes I was miserable 😩 it’s a sad thing to be hurt by the very people that are closest to a person such as family and friends . But I know we must let it all go and pray and love everyone! Well said. I do have a thought about conference talks I love general conference talks. I don’t receive salvation or exaltation from a general authority But I believe the purpose of general conference is to exhort the members of the church to remember Jesus to come into Him and feast upon his words . I think general authority’s talk about the temple so much is because the House of Lord is where people are healed by the Lord and are able to be strengthened by His Holy Hand to withstand the adversary’s attacks and to receive the Lords enabling power to more fully forgive everyone that wrongs us

      Right? I have had the same as well and all it did was hurt me. Yet, despite this, we still hold on to them and all this does is act like acid to corrode the soul. If we want to be people who the Lord will preserve for what's coming, this is one area we have to master. Can't be of one heart and one mind when we hold anger against our "brother/sister." Did not Christ say cast the beam from our own eye? Did he not also say that before we worship him and we are in conflict with our brother that we are to first reconcile ourselves with him and then offer the gift? These things are some plain in the scriptures, but yet people refuse to listen. Yet, there is a reason why Satan promotes anger. Not only does it divide, but it stifles and even neutralizes the voice of God. And without that, we are blind and lost.

      @@teshuvahareturn agreed this is a constant challenge that is a continual work in progress lol 😆. But we can do it ! 😀. We must pray 🙏 more fully for the gift of charity 😀

    I think people still have those spiritual experiences at temple dedications but they are so personal and powerful and intimate to that individual. I also think that The Lord manifests Himself in powerful but subtle ways. But a third thought of course is we don’t have the same strong faith in The Lord that the early Saints had. I think that as we get closer and closer the Saviors 2nd coming it will Be harder for His saints hold fast the iron rod that’s probably why President Nelson has told us and plead with us to increase our ability to receive personal revelation. I just finishes a book called, “ when church gets hard”. And it was talking about how marginalized members of the church are struggling to have their spiritual needs met by the The Lords church and love and support from his saints. So sorry for this long winded answer but maybe we don’t have the same manifestations is because we as a people don’t have strong enough faith hope and charity .

      @teshuvahareturn หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for grappling with the question and not rejecting it outright. Yes, that is on the right track, but there is more. Here are some follow up questions: What causes one to be of strong faith, hope, and charity? What do those words even mean? Further, if we are LDS members are deficient in these areas what does it say about us and about the strength of the Church as a whole? Will our membership in the Church be enough to endure what is coming? The early saints had greater manifestations that we do, but they were also rejected by the Lord (see D&C 124:45), what does that say about us? These are things not to take lightly.

      @@teshuvahareturn the scriptures say that we are saved by grace after all we can do. One could argue that all we can do isn’t very much at all we of course can’t work our way into Heaven . People need to develop Christ Like attributes and in doing so I think we are we do develop those attributes then our faith hope and charity will grow. For me barring my testimony on fast and testimony meeting is a great act of faith for me because public speaking terrifies me . President Hinckley said that the genius of the church is that everyone has a calling which purpose is to strengthen the people faith hope and charity so I do believe that valeting members of the church that keep their covenents are are honest with The Lord when repentance is required and president Nelson says that let repentance be a daily joy 🤩. So yes I do believe that things will be great for everyone who can serve the Lord with all their heart mind and strength .

    So I love all that you’re saying! 😊. I have a thought 💭 the minimum is a tricky in my mind because for example the cost of living is so high in California so the fast workers need that higher wage to survive at all. We went to San Diego and these people have to have 2 jobs just to pay their bills but on the flip side because of these minimum wage laws employers are claiming that they’re having a hard time making payroll to pay their employers because of their higher wages.. I’m not sure they’re being honest with that claim .

    • @teshuvahareturn
      @teshuvahareturn 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ryan, thanks for you comments. I hear you about California. A couple of thoughts. First, one reason cost of living is high in California is due to California's public policy which includes a heavily regulatory environment and high taxes. Second, even if cost is high, people are not forced to live in California. If the expenses are too great they have the option to move (as least for now). Problem with min wage, besides violating the personal accountability principle and the law of justice, is that is actually makes it most costly on the employer the higher employees (especially small businesses) and therefore fewer workers are hired and/or cost for the consumer increases to account for labor costs.
