COMBAT SATURDAY - TRAIN MOVEMENT, NOT TECHNIQUE
If you only see things in terms of techniques, then that's all it will ever be. However, if you learn to train movement, then it can be everything from strikes to joint locks and any number of possibilities. #centrelineboxing #chriswongfitness #HIIT

      This is a big problem with people who practice traditional arts. They often insist on doing things that look cool or different even if it makes no sense. I'm glad you like the videos. I have unfortunately encountered many close minded martial arts teachers over the years. That kind of mindset will do you no good. It's just another way to cause separation between people like race and religion. We are all human beings and every art has something to offer. And every practitioner should strive to create their own martial art. In this world of over 8 billion people there's only one of you with your experiences and personality.

      @CarlosRivera-ez6pw Definitely. The key with Wing Chun is understanding the purpose of it. It's a close range, high pressure, aggressive system. You must have an aggressive mindset to make it work. Trying to use it at long range like an in and out boxer is completely useless. But that's what a lot of people try to do. • @inhometraineroakville1174
      @inhometraineroakville1174 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your whole foot needs to be grounded and rooted. The pressure is more on the balls of the foot. That way, if you want to transfer to the heels to absorb force, you can. If it's already on the heel, you've got nowhere to go. Wing Chun lives and breathes in that extremely close range. Basically punch or palm strike until you're too close. Them switch to elbows and headbutts. I've studied Jeet Kune Do as well. The problem is most JKD guys can only fight at a distance. But true JKD includes the very close range. First generation students like Jesse Glover and Dan Inosanto understood this
