    My great great grandfather was in the 91st and was a runner, when he was done messaging the letter to the captain, the captain said “ look down” and he looked at his clothes and they were in shreds! Later on he said that god protected him that day. He received the legion of honor at age 102 but everything from the war that he had was stolen. Long live the 91st!!

    Why aren't your video views increasing? And not reaching people? The reason is: 1. Your video is not being SEO properly 2. Your video is not reaching the right people 3. Not using video hash tags properly 4. Not sharing the video on social media Your video is awesome. Such videos are in great demand. If you do these things correctly. Hopefully, you will get a lot of visitors. Feel free to ask me any questions.

    The propeller wings are just signifying hes an officer in the air corps. Just like how an infantry officer would have the US and cross rifles. There is a small problem, his ribbon is flipped (good conduct should be on the left) and as a matter of fact its interesting he has a good conduct ribbon. The medal was only given to enlisted men, and this guy is evidentially an officer. Some guys enlisted and got good conducts then became officers, but the fact hes a captain which requires a few years of service and that hes got a good conduct which I think requires three years as an enlisted man seems odd.

    • @militaryrelics8043
      @militaryrelics8043 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I noticed how the ribbons were reversed. Like on other uniforms I have, it is the good conduct on the left, etc...That is just weird.

    Good job, I just found this. I like that it details a bit of your great uncles service. Currently I am the head of the New England branch of the Airmens' Preservation Society of Washington D.C. and am one of the WW2 Reenactors who works in and around D.C. for the Army, Air Force, Marines and Navy at reunions, museums and the National Memorial Day Parade in D.C.. I also do shows representing the USAAF at Duxford flying Legends, RAF Duxford in England. The uniform is a US Army Air Forces Class A Tunic, Cover (Cap), Trousers in Army regulation officers green gaberdine. He was a Pilot and the shield on the 3" Wings specifies that. The patch on the arm is early to later war general Air Forces. The Duck is a "ruptured duck" that was given on his decommission. He was in the ETO and this dark green is an overseas uniform. Stateside he would wear Tan or White formal. They would often wear these uniforms out at night to town or in formal settings. Sometimes around base if high enough rank. It has nice Collar devices and the Cover is also Gaberdine and leather. It is a "Crusher" which was because it could be crushed and pocketed while inside without damage. Covers are not worn inside except on a flightline or special occasion. The under belt button was a metal saving attempt. We needed all the metals we could get back then for ammunition and building things. His picture does appear to be very early in his training, it is probably a cadet uniform as those collar devices are usually enlisted or cadet. I too am from New Hampshire and fly out of Nashua, Concord and Manchester. Look us up on the APS website or on Facebook if interested in "representing".

      It has a Willys CJ frame, see the front rails and front crossmember. There is no machine gun mount or pioneer tool dents. The fuel fill comes out the side, WWII Jeeps filled under the front seat. The engine has a valve cover on top, GPW and MBs had flat head L134 4 cylinders. The only thing GPW is the tool boxes and glove box door. I feel these were added to your jeep later. Is there a tool box under the passenger seat? Also a CJ thing.
