My niece recently moved to Douglas and had posted on fb a picture of her children swimming in a beautiful lake. I assumed it was the Douglas Res. having lived in town for over 30 yrs. Then she said no and described your property. I said that was Dr. Rudicka's house. I am so glad you own this beautiful property now giving it great care. I too was blessed to have someone who loved our house on Yew St and is caring for it as I would. Thank you for posting this video ....miss our years in Douglas.
I grew up across the street, #65, loved visiting the doctors, they had beautiful collies. They would always allow us to walk to a favorite swimming spot. Truly great people. I have loved this property since childhood, so amazing to see what its transformed into. Thank you so much for sharing, I've rewatched a dozen times. If you could ever spare the time I'd love to walk the grounds once more. Thanks again for this view....
Of course! Stop by any time and introduce yourself. We often have some visitors walking by the dam, fishing, and appreciating the birds, and now also, we have little goats!! :)

Yes! I am always drawn to the History that follows and surrounds our country sides. My maniulated mind imagines a homestead living by what was there. Monthly visits by Animal Taxis to town for (Essentuals!) Thank you for Sharing.
Beautiful. We used to swim and fish the pond when we were kids from the opposite side from the old abandon train tracks .

@@lawrencebasile4313 I think that a doctor owned it before when I was a kid in town. And they had nice apple trees next to the main road.
You are right! The apple trees are still there, and also some peach trees.

I drive by your property everyday on my ride home from work and was so curious I Google the road and low and behold this masterpiece! Your property is absolutely stunning. I wish I could walk that place with my Sheepdogs! Absolutely stunning. You should be very proud of what you have there. I am sure it is magestic on a mild summer day.
I am glad other people appreciate same things I do, and I would love to meet your sheepdogs! Feel free to come in to the property and introduce yourself, and just make sure the sheepdogs are on leashes because it may freak out the birds . Would love to meet you. Welcome. PS: I am often in Boston in my main home, but the caretakers are always around and they are very friendly.
