Hi Tim! Just saw you pop up in a Facebook group, so wanted to come over to check out your channel. Love it - you’ve shown Split off beautifully in this video! Hello, from your 995th subscriber (sooo close! 🎉). Merry Christmas!
@@FraserAtSea hey Fraser! Bless you for watching and subscribing. I’ve returned the favour and have watched several of yours in the last few months. You’re doing incredibly well! Best wishes
I met Tim recently on the Queen Victoria, he is as charming in real life (whatever that is..) as he is in his informative videos.
@@williamrobertson7174 Will!! It was so lovely to meet you. Really pleased you enjoyed your first cruise - many more to come I hope, including your amazing America and Caribbean cruise in the pipeline! I hope paths cross again xx
We have only been to Split on two occasions and had a great time on both of them. Have a good Christmas Tim and it was good to meet you.
@@KenGoesCruising hi Ken & Lindsey! It was great to meet you both too! Thanks for watching - Split is lovely and I hope to get a chance to go back sometime. Best wishes to both of you.
Thanks Tim. That was really great. Thanks for your efforts. I will be there 6 Jan 25. Awesome.
@@yasminedrexler8951 thank you Yasmine - I’m so pleased it was useful. I hope you have a great trip, it’s a lovely place. Best wishes
Hi Tim, You are doing very well in the video. but you didn't make a good and attractive thumbnail for your video and you did SEO on your video for this reason you don't get a view on your video. I think you should make a good thumbnail and do SEO on your video to get more views and grow your channel
@@mdsami-fu4cz Hi, thank you for your constructive comment. Keen to know more! The thumbnail shows the key sites - is that not attractive? It doesn’t have an attention grabbing headline I accept. In terms of SEO I add lots of tags - do you have other suggestions? Many thanks for taking the time to watch and engage!
Thanks, Tim. I’ve booked the same flight with Club Europe on 23 Dec so I expect a busy nightmare too!
@@keithkaosHarv hope you have a great trip Keith!
When I came off the cruise ship, I asked the taxi driver how much it was to get to the center of the town? He said 50 euros. I walked away and asked second driver. It was 10 euros. Also, do not exchange money in that change kiosk in the port. It's another scam that started on the ship where we were told that foreign money is not assepted in town and we have to use the exchange in the port. Biggest liar. Then we were told that when we come back, we will be able to exchange back. Any foreign currency is assepted in town, and when we came back, the exchange kiosk was closed. Mafia everywhere.

Cagliari was the oldest stablish city in italy much older than the roman empire itself..it was stablish on 2800 bc…fun fact in cagliari you can found the famous cheese with worm inside ( cazzo mazzu) you can’t buy in local cheese shop… but you can avail it if you have friends that make it secretly 😂

Would you have been able to get off at Menton Garavan and would this be closer to the old town? Also, can you walk to the Italian border from Menton Garavan?
@@AngelaV-mo3qx Hi Angela, yes I believe you could get off at Menton Garavan and walk to the old town. I’d say it’s a similar distance from both stations. In my video we walked along the beach, but you can cut into the old town earlier if you walk from Menton station. I haven’t tried to walk from Menton Garavan to the Italian border so I can’t offer any advice on that unfortunately. I hope you have a great trip if you go!
Late comment to this but how much time did you have in Bergen?

How was Menton station for accessibility?
@@wheelogger hi, when I was there earlier this year there were building works happening and the access was limited just to stairs from memory. However that may have been a temporary situation and works may have been completed now and the lift may be operating. Sorry I can’t confirm the current situation
This hotel is amazing if you don’t have to leave the hotel. Big spacious and all amenities in the hotel the breakfast buffet is second to none. This is not in kolonaki it’s in neos kosmos. This hotel is not good if you want to go out walking sight seeing or shopping.

@@swimschool3410 hi, my bed was firm and very comfortable. Hope you have a great trip!
@@timstravelguides Thanks for your quick response. We definitely like our beds on the softer side. How firm would you say it is? No give at all? or A little give...
@@swimschool3410 hi, unfortunately it was over a year ago that I stayed at the hotel so I don’t recall the firmness of the bed in any more detail than it was very comfortable. What gate did you arrive? How long did it take for you to get to immigration and get luggage?
Hi, thank you for watching. I don’t recall the gate I’m afraid, but I do recall it was fairly quick to get to immigration and get our luggage. It’s a huge airport so you do have to walk quite a distance, but it was clearly sign posted, the immigration queue was short and the luggage came quickly. I’d say it was about 25 minutes in total. I hope you have a great trip!
Hello Team, i watch this video very interesting. and i have a question about shuttle bus(naha cruise~naha street). Is it free shuttle bus? and i knew naha has two cruise terminal (terminal1 and 2), what your terminal number? i feel very helpful, if you answer my question 😊
Hi, thank you for watching. We were at the Naha Cruise Terminal (I don’t recall it being 1 or 2, it was just called the Naha Cruise Terminal). Yes there was a free shuttle bus from the terminal to the main shopping street. I hope you enjoy your trip!
Do you need immigration check?
What is the name of your cruise ship? Do you need to buy excursion ?
Think you need to have the mic even closer to your mouth 🤣

@@guttersnippeesmithers3905 it should be very pleasant in March. I hope you have a great time!
So do you need to “dress up” every evening? My husband is not fond of ties and coats 🫤
Hi, thank you so much for watching my video. No you don’t need to dress up every night, but it’s important to say a lot of people do and choose Cunard especially for that reason. On the non-Gaia nights the men don’t need to wear a jacket or tie. You don’t have to dress up any night if you don’t want to - the lido buffet restaurant and the pub are very relaxed. There are a mix of people onboard, some choose not to dress up and that’s fine, but it’s important to say a lot of passengers choose Cunard especially for the formality. I hope you give it a try and have a great time!
Can you take public transportation there? I am planning to take my elderly parents on a cruise. Thanks for the video.
Hi! Hope you’re well. There is public transport available on the island, but I’m afraid I don’t know the detail as we were on an organised excursion. I did see buses though. Hope you and your parents have a wonderful time!!! Best wishes
Yes, there are public buses. You'll need to get to Ishigaki City Bus Terminal to catch them. From the Cruise port terminal, it is a 3~4km walk. Taxis are going to the Cruise Ship Terminal. Warm regards from Ishigaki Island

Thank you, I enjoyed watching. I cruised on the Queen Victoria in 2018 and 2019, Princess Grill with my mother, we brought on board vodka and sherry, and I don't remember security at all...do they check hand luggage now? The vodka was in my hand luggage and the sherry in Mum's suitcase. I didn't realise there was a weight limit, I'm sure I was over 20kg with each suitcase! Thanks to FCC due to cancelled cruises in 2020, my husband and I are going transatlantic on the QM2 next summer but Britannia balcony this time. I didn't realise the extra charge for room service, no one else mentioned this!
Hi, I’m so pleased you enjoyed watching my guide! Thank you for taking the time to comment. You can still bring a bottle or two of wine or spirits onboard - that’s fine. I hope you have a great transatlantic trip. The room service is free. Best wishes
