Reverend Clarence H. Cobbs, founder of the First Church of Deliverance, the church of Love and Faith in Chicago, Illinois.. Excerpts of the Preacher's sermons and songs from the Heavenly Choir for those who are discouraged and all those who love the Lord!
That we may tell it to the generations following, that this God, is our God forever and ever, even unto the end.
That we may tell it to the generations following, that this God, is our God forever and ever, even unto the end.
Freddie Hopkins Ezekiel's Wheel
Freddie Hopkins, jr directing the choir of First Church of Deliverance at the 11 pm Broadcast Service. Those were the days when even though it was well past midnight, we did not want to leave the Presence of God's Glory in the Sanctuary. I believe this was the time of Aunt Daisy's going home.

Choir of First Deliverance sings the Anthem "Glorious Is Thy Name" at Broadcast in Aug 1969. What a fitting way to end Yom Kippur today, the Day of Atonement, where we bare open our hearts to draw closer to God, thanking Him for the atoning blood of His Son and proclaiming Him as the Ruler of the universe, and the King of Kings. The words come right out of the praise and worship of John's Revel...

I can't stop listening to this. Go With Me Jesus
My uncle Archbishop Lucius Hall was the radio announcer. I'm so proud of my uncle life and legacy. ❤❤❤
My friend Freddie.
Anyone know the name of the song that was sung? I love it.
Unfortunately, the love is not there like it used to be. 😢
One of my favorite songs.
I miss the late Mother Elizabeth Hall singing this song with First Church. I play this song every year during the Christmas season. Those were the good days of good choir singing.
❤❤❤❤❤
I just love this version of this song. It lifts my spirit. What an anointed voice.
Listening to this recording has really blessed my soul. It took me back to the times I listened to the 11 pm broadcast on WCFL 1000 Sunday nights with my grandmother and brother. We used to visit for that service during the summer. I'm so grateful for those memories. We live in a different world from then. God bless you. ❤️
I go back over forty years of experience with FCD, Couldn't go to bed on Sunday night until FCD Came on the airwaves, here in Cleveland Ohio 12pm until 1:00 Am
Yesssssss🎄⛪️✝️🔔
SWEEEEET HOOOLY SPIRIT!!
Does anyone know who originally recorded that version of This Little Light of Mine?
Is that big Fred on the organ? My god.
First church. Is alwayd. Been so classy. Loved it then loved. Now
Mahalia Jackson sang that song! Blessings and Hugs 💖💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕!
I was feel like it was just yesterday, when this Michael Clarence Jackson was just a little kid when she song this tribute to the Lord.
What a Joy to hear this broadcast. Those were the days! Thanks to everyone responsible for putting these on the air. There was just something so special when this choir started singing, you could feel the Holy Spirit in them and with them. GREAT!!!
Sing First Church!
THanks. I've been thinking about this song so much lately.
I used to hear them on the radio 🔘 1570 AM on Sunday evening 🌆 at eleven pm! Blessings and Hugs 💖🤗🙏🤗🙏🤗🙏🤗🙏🤗🙏!
OMG!!!! This is absolutely priceless footage. This just blessed my entire soul!!! Thank you, “Preachers Daughter!”
Lord have Mercy upon Us .How beautiful are the feet of them that tell of the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
This is the best version of this song. I truly missed hearing First Church and the late Mother Elizabeth Hall sing this song every Christmas. I, Elder Robert Nichols, was in the audience the last time she sang this song before she died. Rest In Peace Mother Elizabeth.
That's my grandmother...I love hearing her voice.
Great Harmony!!!
Thank You 🙏 so much ! I remember this when l was in college! Your pastor encouraged my sisters and I to finish school . I miss that 11:00 o’clock services . I miss those white dresses walking down the street on a Sunday Morning . Go back in your white and wear it ! It’s something about wearing white on Sunday’s ! White is a strong color . Spiritual churches need to come back together. We need you now more than ever . Bless the sisters that post this on today and for ever.
I am very certain as a little boy I sat through this service...and many like it. This is when First Church of Deliverance had church all day on Sunday. We started at 9:00am with Sunday School, 11:00am Morning Worship 7:00pm Spiritual Union, 8:00pm Evening Worship and 11:00pm Live Broadcast Service. This was THAT First Church of Deliverance. We who lived in those times never thought they would end...at least I didn't. Then, The Preacher went home to be with The Lord in 1978. Rev. Grey would assume the reigns but not until 1981...and he would pastor until 1994. Rev. Porter would pass away too... In 2019 The church still stands...but I miss these services, and the FCD I grew up in...enjoy this piece of amazing history. God bless you, and Merry Christmas.
@@mylesburris3885 There are some left from my era, which would be the last era to remember Preacher in the body...but we live our days, as best we can, and then that's it...
Once again, I'm Here. Yes... Jesus Is The Light of The World. Peace & Blessings @ Preachers Daughter. 2019
The intro song and the powerful song "hold out".
Beautiful high notes by Ann Parker!
Is Ann Parker the singer who sang "Trust in Lord" with Charles Clency & Voices of Melody?
May The Lord Bless You Real Good, Preachers Daughter, and impress upon you to post more of The Preacher and FCD!!!
Is there more video from this?if so please post
