The last time we stayed in Puna Palisades & spent time at Po'hoike was before the big eruption of 2018, we took our grown kids. You have to be aware of why they might have taken the trees out. There was a couple going at it in pond #3, the one that formerly had great tree coverage. That didn't deter us. We spent a lovely hour there. It was large enough that said couple was at one end and we were at the other. It is much smaller now. I found a 5" long stick bug on a tree. On the walk back, my daughter spotted young turtles surfing on the ocean waves. I never would have seen them if it weren't for her. Really lovely.

That whole Keaukaha neighborhood is great!

A lot of people on the big island complain about these frogs all the time, but I love the coqui frog. At night time once it gets dark, the music starts. And if you’re able to visit any of the islands, definitely the big island of Hawaii on Hilo side. You will definitely sleep good at night. Mahalo for this little video clip.🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿

In oct 1997 went to kauai. Hiked the Napali Coast trail. The most excellent thing i have ever done. Fragrence of fruit was amazing. I just wanted to stay right then and there and never leave.❤

Wow 👏 😮 🎉❤ I really was impressed by Hawaiian fauna and flora when I was there in 2012 we stayed at 2 nd hotel to the left of the zoo on wikki the 1st hotel was being renovated..the zoo was fantastic 👏 👌 best I have ever been and I have been to 2 different ones but the one in Portland Oregon...which is called the Washington Zoo 😆 I have been to that one 6 times. ❤❤❤
