Ngl mobius couch is a clever fuckin name for a podcast about comics/pop culture.
Full podcast?
I think this is from Episode 27 (Ultimates 2 - Part 1)
Nothing done to Nazis counts.
People forget he is a soldier first before he is a super hero
I guess writers nonsense sometimes. Normally, Bruce and Betty's relationship is perfect. They got married and I'm glad they had a bittersweet ending. I love them. I think they are a very good couple.
.... I only remember the animated media from Marvel and DC(never collected the comics), but through them, I had a bit of info. Example, the green/greenish fluid on Iron Man's body is some type of neural gel or something else to help control his suit. Last time I checked.
I REALLY LIKE 👍 ( NEW 52 & ULTIMATE ) COMICS THIS BOOKS ARE REALISTIC
Al looks like Dwayne Johnson in the intro animation😂 Who knew the Alessandro-Darkseid fusion would have such a likeness
I dont hate Impulse for who he is its just that he was written in the first place.
I'm sorry but impulse is kid flash number three
Damn that sucks its like Jacob in Twilight when his bones need to be broken just to be set properly
Whoever did the Black Canary scream was spot on 😂
Showing the younger generation of heroes the gravity of their roles early isn't a bad idea but probably could use a simpler memorial
Comic name
House of X and Powers of X by Jonathan Hickman, art by Pepe Larraz and R.B. Silva
“Take it easy on the bricks” 😂😂
It's kind of like what Superman said in Jim Lee's Superman of Tomorrow run. As strong as heroes are, they can't be everywhere all at once and Genosha was leveled in under an hour.
that is a very solid point. - Joe
The Hawks (Carter, Shayera and Kendra) get their heightened senses (perfect eye sight included) from Nth Metal radiation. Same way they get super strength, self sustenance etc. The "hawk eyes" are just bad comic book art 😂
You guys might like Ultimate Comics Avengers, also by Millar.
Its vomet
haha, awwww, I'm not sure when you read this but the designs were groundbreaking at the time. respect you're opinion nonetheless.
@@mobiuscouch I mean the green fluid it's vimet. Or at least what I think it is tony is a big time drunk so when hes In that suit I'm pretty sure we all know what would happen

The comic that ruined comics
What if we have like this eyes 👀 in live-action 😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.
that would be hilarious and amazing
@@mobiuscouch yup sure does.
Wow, never thought I’d live to see the day that Legion Lost would receive this level of commentary that is sooooooo well deserved. Was a pleasure listening. This is the gold standard I hold all comics to in terms of characterization and story. Legion Lost is just…incredible. It’s the perfect blend of sci-fi, alien superheroes, friendship, abandonment, deception, paranoia, insanity, and hope. It’s hard to pick favorites because it’s such an ensemble cast. The sweetness of Monstress. The nastiness of Umbra. The pure genius of Brainiac. These are the delights of the legion. The stakes feel so unbelievably real and the ending, while heartbreaking, feels so right. They’re finally working as a team again. If you don’t shed a few tears by that final scene, there’s a high probability you’re not human. Would love to get your take on The Legion, once the survivors return to earth. The Legion #1 was my first introduction to the legion and I was absolutely hooked. Where were they? What happened to those still missing? And that cliffhanger at the end! There was also this incredible foreshadowing of social media, celebrity worship, and politics. The first twenty or so issues of The Legion were pretty incredible.
+1 to this entire comment! Legion Lost is one of the best series l've ever read. DnA's writing and Coipel's art are just perfection. The stakes are as high as they could possibly be, and you can really pick up on their desperation throughout the story and that ending is just unreal. We'll definitely be covering Legion again 🙂
+@@mobiuscouch It's a bit sad that in the decades since Legion Lost debuted, the team has gone from one failed reboot to the next. It has incredible potential, but I fear it will never be a quality comic, steaming series, or film unless some major things change. Since listening to this episode, I've been brainstorming how to possibly bring it into 2024 and beyond... - Introduce darker storylines like Legion Lost, Legion of the Damned, and Five Years Later. - Remove any kind of messianic Superboy, Supergirl, M'onel, Laurel Gand (they always hijack the stories and besides, the Legion has enough amazing characters of its own) - Whittle down the team to a concentrated group and tell each issue from a different perspective so you actually get to know the characters. - Age the team into adulthood and incorporate relationships, sex, and sexuality into the plot (hell, even in the '90s Vi and Aayla were a couple) - Drop the codenames and outfits. Adopt more of a uniform look. Five Years Later had bomber jackets. Maybe variations of a similar theme. X-Men has always done a good job of making uniforms more cohesive...Legion could benefit from that. It exemplifies unity, which is what Legion is all about. - This one is probably the most controversial, but drop the superhero angle altogether and go in a purely sci-fi direction. (Hello, it's the 31st century and there are going to be invisible shields, telepathic earplugs, and weapons that can mimic most of Legion's powers. Imagine if Tasmia's darkfield was contained in caster bullets like you see in Outlaw Star, if Brainy goes back to being a robot, or better yet, a brain contained in a robot, if Candi comes from a monomorphic, Amazonian world, if Wildfire is a temporary manifestation from a caster shell, if Shikari is a failed UP weapon experiment, etc. If Legion is more dependent on technology, it makes stories all the more interesting when that technology breaks or is inaccessible) - Make politics more of a focus with Legion missions. Legion Don't Kill is a nice sentiment and all, but not realistic in a universe that is more grey than it is black and white. Since the United Planets is such a focus in the Legion universe, it makes sense that Legion be directly affiliated with the UP. Something equivalent to United Nations security forces on earth in the present day. - And lastly, get Coipel back onboard. No one illustrates the Legion like he does. Basically, I'm envisioning Legion gaining new life, not as a group of teenage superheroes in the future, but as a team of highly trained adult members of an elite force trying to keep peace in the United Planets. Protecting intergalactic politicians from assassination, intervening in genocides, infiltrating galactic cults, stopping devious tech CEOs and foreign invaders, providing aid work in pandemics, confronting the AI threat, sometimes having to follow UP orders even when it goes against their own morality or political beliefs, and sometimes even having to part ways or fight against one another when a planet breaks away from the UP. This may not be a popular concept among diehard Legion fans, but I think it's about time the Legion got a makeover that allows them to survive and thrive in the darker, edgier world we now live in... P.S. You mentioned something about a Snyder(?) scale? What exactly is that? Something to do with bodies portrayed in comics? It's my first time hearing of it.
@@orion6372 first of all no one loves the legion as much as we do, except clearly yourself. love all of your thoughts on what is possible with these characters and I can't agree enough that they are constantly mishandled in recent years. The bendis run is by far the best of the recent incarnations of the legion and that was sadly cut short. the current state of comics in general doesn't scream for yet another legion reboot but it would be great if they could achieve another run like this that lasted anywhere near as long that truly explored where these characters could go (and how dark it could get). thank you for your passion and comments sir. - Joe
Loved this series so much. Umbra is my all time favorite but what an ensemble cast that was!!!
my brother loves umbra to death and I'm a close second! - Joe
Xorn is Magneto is one of my favorite marvel comic plot twists
I still to this day dont know if I loved it or hated it. -Joe
Its so dumb, how do you like it?
I mean, who doesnt want a nice veggie tray after getting punched in the face
I believe Morrison wanted to right the members of the league as the pantheons of DC. This would explain why there are times when characters are out of character because they're godly.
its the bane form boderlands in real life
No Joe, we will not hear you out
haha, fair enough
@@joeohara9882silence Joe!
Morrison's JLA proves us Batman is not a simple human; his intelligence makes him a menace to aliens.
haha, yes it does
It's kind of counterintuitive as Zatanna is pretty much a core member during the Satellite Era even to Detroit era Justice League even after she did the mindwipe with the bughead outfit
Batman in the the drawing is like "get a load of this guy 😏"
There's a reason there's giants.
19:34 Batman in watch tower
I love how its to test if he could hear his heartbeat
He’s watching then because he’s watching them AMAZING
Hahaha. I meant “he’s watching them for a reason” not just dicking around in the rafters.
@@joeohara9882oh
i just love the clunky look that ultimate iron man armor still not sure if the liquid is coolant, or the armor is powered by tony's blood-alcohol level 🍸
Don’t be called Arthur in front of the justice league they will leave you
Man hunter has great pictures
He has a brain trauma
and what was Batman about to do? He looks like he's about to try and hit Flash or something which makes no sense.
haha, its not that bad...
Worst take I have ever heard
LOL
@@mobiuscouch You were a good sport about it and now I feel bad on how I phrased it lmao.
The line between heroes and villians is very thin.
haha, it does look like Freddy, why all the stripes Quentin?
Xorn is one of those likeable messes when it comes to retcons. His relationship with the special class is interesting. But he does start that trend where I go “I know it’s the 2000’s but Jesus, guys, stop harassing Dust”.
When did Freddy join the xmen? When did Freddy become a girl? So many questions.😊
What is going on???
Quentin Quire was acting like a lunatic so the X-Men discussed what was causing his erratic behavior and Emma pointed out he was high on the drug “kick”
@@mobiuscouch oh my goodness
She looks like a lemur
She looks hot but also very cool with the cat ears and tail.
