I ❤ my Michael Fischer viola. He custom made my viola for me in 1991. It is a Magginni model and one of the first 16 1/8 size violas that Michael made.

Dr. Voskuil is a character and a treasure. I'll never forget his shop in the basement of his house in Bismarck ND. He invented an interesting peg for the Cello that allowed the musician to stand up and wander around while playing.

Wow. Sound is quite different from so call traditional Strad.

He's a powerhouse of a player. It's difficult playing such a large instrument, too, and he does it so well.

This is nowhere near a Tertis. Some call it a 'Russian Leaf' pattern and other names too, but at it's base, it's a Stanick copy.

What year this cello 885 produced?

Servais model is one of the most bigger cello model in history. As Mr. DeMain said in the video, it is quite challenging to play, but has a remarkable sound-especially in lower registers.
