If you have a external monitor/tv use hdmi to check if frames improve. Disabling igpu keeps dedicated gpu loaded(slightly) all the time. So if your laptop is ON for ling hours its not something i would do. For just gaming sessions yes you should disable iGpU

Change thermal paste. Use DX11 and DLSS. Try lower settings except textures on med and high. Also add some arguments to launch options of squad

See repaste and try. I am trying to get liquid metal pasted will revert back with the performance stats. Also in these new updates i have found out Dx11 has better stability and now u can use DLSS also with Dx11. Can you give dx11 a try?

@@really.savage gave dx11 a try, the average fps was a little more stable but the dips where still really noticeable. My laptop is almost brand new and I have been checking temps and they are good. I was planning on buying a better laptop cooler, I will tell you if this improves the performance.

@@really.savage I set this up and it definitely helped. I also tried lossless scaling with an fps cap and it works very well actually I liked it and definitely recommend it if anyone is having performance issues.

No not fixed frame gen is buggy. Though they have dlls of frame gen in the game files. Also try dx11 it supports dlss now

You have a beast. Just crank it up highest. Use DLAA and 1440p will be gud enough. 4k might be an overkill.

@sanjjiv7842 it does a bit, laptop display when connected to igpu process video games from Discrete gpu and then it is muxed to the Display which is connected to iGpu.

Mine is 3070ti. But its laptop gpu and cooling is not so gud

2060 will run it at gud 50 to 60 fps

@@really.savage tbh even if it works that ain't playable for me. I'm above recommended specs, I should get that experience then. I mounted a new cpu cooler today and cleared the game cache, the game works better with drops to 40 😂.

@@dekzr691 trash game, and trash optimization. Just play BF1 you get 120+ with that rig and you will feel the smoothness of the game, I like to mention BF1 because it's God tier optimization in that game.

It is common phenomenon of fps drops whenever there is artillery or mortar or any extreme gunfights. The game is quite old now since its inception but still the game is relatively non optimised. Test maps are not for benchmarking. Get into 100 player game and go to the place in the map where max enemies are marked. That fps test of squad.

Your CPU is quite old. Try toning down some settings and resolution. Use DLSS and NIS. Ensure windows is optimised and if you are upgrading, upgrade both cpu and GPU. And also make ram 16x2.

@superboy7661 you might need to upgrade the motherboard also to support modern hardware. Ryzen 6th or 7th gen/ intel 13th/14 th gen processor Nvidia rtx 4060/4070 Amd radeon 7800xt Ram ddr5 32gb. That will be a complete overhaul of your system. If money is not an issue. Go for this major upgrade

Not intentionally i restarted the pc and game. Thats the only map i got without waiting 20 mins in queue. So it was not planned, intention was to get the actuals in a real game and not in training mode.

@@really.savage Oh I figured it out I had not noticed that scope resolution option changed it to 150 percent that fixed the blurry scope and and the RTX card only DLSS option fixed it now it runs capped most at 65 fps+ all the time almost for regular games as in non modded servers.

You have a decent rig already, if u can go u can start with getting another 16 gb ram for duabl channel or 2x8gb if u already have 2x8gb. If u need to go all in maybe a newer gen CPU with more cores will help you a lot. GPU is still great for handling squad. Just get the cooling part right

@@really.savage Thank you for the recommendation, ordered another kit for 16 gb to be in the amount of 32. Also increased the swap file on the disk on which the game is installed, the freezes disappeared and crashed, maybe someone will need this information.

I hope you get the performance we all crave for in this game.

Yes yes you can but sometimes the explosions and mortar shelling will reduce FPS a bit

Try with Vsync ON and then OFF. Another thing you can do is by limiting the fps in graphic card control panel or ingame

@@really.savage I fixed it I found problem in Windows 10 Game Bar I just disabled it

i had mine installed on my extra storage HD, now i moved it to ssd sata, the stuttering reduced like 70 ~~ 80%, i just see stuttering when i enter on game and the players are still spawning. my vsync is turned off
