After being in Set Dressing during a great time in the industry...the 70's to the 90's...I left when they took the Show out of Show Business!
Now I have my memories, and many rare and amazing Treasures from my career...and want to share them with the world!
Some of my videos here showcase much of my Collection, and may even link to my websites where you might be able to buy some rare and unique items from my entertainment encounters!
I may even share some insider stories about the celebrities I met and worked with! (There is a book that is trying to find its way out of my mind there...someday!)
I hope you enjoy your visit...to The BatCave of Oz!
And be sure to check out the many Treasures of The BatCave of Oz at

It wasn't until 1974 that I began saving Every Week's TV Guide! But, I Did save the Fall Previews in 1971, 1972, and 1973. I've already shared the other two, so now here is 1971...Cover To Cover!! Every Single Page! We didn't realize way back then just how Cool these little things would be in 50 years! (Well, maybe I did since I Hung On to them all!) They have become a nostalgic little peek at ...

This was fun! I may have to do this for some of the earlier issues, before they became Much Bigger and Full of So Many Cool Things that a Single issue had enough to make a decent-sized video! All Four of the December 1977 Issues! With appropriate theme music for the time and season! (Details at the end of the video!) Enjoy! More To Come! ( I Do have over 1500 Issues!!) Merry Christmas!

I don't know why I didn't share this video before now! Everyone loved Alexander Enberg in his many roles on Star Trek, from the Reporter on TNG's "Time's Arrow" to the Two Vulcans he played on Voyager and TNG, Vorik and Taurik. We haven't seen much of him since he had a stroke many years ago, but he has somewhat recovered, I have read. LLAP Alex.

Back in the good ol' days - only three networks but you could always find something to watch. Now I've got hundreds of channels but there's nothing on.
woah!!ive lowkey never seen this before tjis is so awesome!thankd for uploading these^_^!
Glad you like them! 😊
I used to save TV Guide, too! I especially liked the Fall Preview editions every year. I believe I started around 1973 when I was 12, and then kind-of let it go some time in the early 90's. I basically saved just the Fall Preview editions, and let go of any, and all the rest of my stash. Takes up too much room, but it's hard giving up a fun hobby! Do they still print TV Guide anymore? I know that's probably a stupid question, but I don't recall seeing it anymore @ the checkout lanes in grocery or drug stores. Well, "thank you" for this nice page by page visit. I suppose TV Guide in 2024 could be retitled FS Guide, for 'flat screen', or are flatscreens actually televisions still? From 📺 to 🖥️ 😊
In 2005 they changed to a magazine-size, but stopped printing the Regional issues! I moved from CA to AZ and the AZ issue was 'Pacific Coast,' so useless to me! And I think each issue is for Two or sometimes Three weeks now.
Galactica should had never been created, that way a lot of money would be saved
I was 11 in '78.. I remember all these shows. Great memories! Thanks for posting.
I was ten that year. I remember most of the kid friendly shows. Brady Bunch Partridge Family Wonderful world of Disney. Bewitched was still a favorite Lassie too. The Saturday morning shows were awesome. It’s a real shame that the networks don’t program them anymore
Love cades county! Then and now on utube.
Any chance you might do one on the Fall Preview editions of TV Guide's earlier years, 1953 to 1970?
@@JIMOTOOLE1949 I only started saving them all in 1971. But I'll be busy enough with the collection ending in 2005!! 😀
Can you do any from 1982 or 1992?
An article in TV Guide about an experimental interactive Cable TV system called QUBE.

I play this as my backdrop. I have some tv guide oldies. Loved to read them. Patrick Duffy As Man From Atlantis I loved that as a kid.
Well...I've got over 1600 issues, so I'll be doing this for a Long Time! I may need to live to 112! 😊
@@BruceWayneOfOz tv guide master!!! You are!
I'm in Canada. Maybe you want to have a few TV guides I have from over the years...
@@BruceWayneOfOz We used to fight over the TV guide crossword puzzle.
@@randymulder9105 Oh, I Can't justify Adding to my collection! But you should share them on TH-cam too!
2 of the most iconic TV themes of the 70's: The NBC Mystery Movie (Henry Mancini) & Night Gallery (Gil Mellé).
It's been fun finding all these old themes to include!! 😊
I saw that on Wednesday there was an ad for "Doctor in the House." It was an English comedy and I thought it was funny.
I remember when they were $0.09
The ones that I saved, starting with 1971, were 15 cents! Have you seen the price lately?! I think it's $5.00!!!!! PER WEEK!!!
Thank you for these postings. Is there anyway to post at a higher resolution than 480p?
@@iscariot666 I didn't realize it was that bad! 😳 The pictures are much higher, so I don't know why the video isn't! I will look into it...thanks for letting me know!
Okay...I noticed that TH-cam ONLY gives me SD quality when I upload a video!! I went into settings for playback and chose 'higher quality' instead of 'auto' but it Still only plays at 480p!! So, it's TH-cam that is doing it! Sorry! 😮
Wow, what memories!
Tell me about it! And we watched them all 'cause there was no cable tv, no satellite, no netflix, etc. It was ABC, NBC, CBS or PBS and that was it! lol Or re-runs!
can we get these in full image form? these arer great!
@@BoredVHSlover On your phone you can pause and zoom in. I know some pictures are not as clear as they could be, but using a piece of glass to hold the pages open and flat causes problems sometimes!
Cool. I used to read them cover to cover including this one.
The good old days!!!
Take me back please?
Remember it all....Best was Friday nights....Brady Bunch. Partridge Family, Love American Style....
I'm old enough to remember the magazine The TV Guide. My parents had a subscription to it and we used it for everything. Of course my favorite show is Emergency! But we watched other shows as well. Watching these videos reminds me of the sampler time of when I was growing up. The years that you have shown are the years I was 9, 10, and 11. Gosh I miss those times. I grew up in Southern California, Yorba Linda and the two memorys that have stayed with me the most, the moon landing in '69 and the earthquake in 1971. Oh but I do remember other things as well. And I miss those days. I'll be 62 this year and I wish that I could go back.
That's what I liked to see my two favorite firefighters on the cover of TV guide. And the show Emergency! Love from Marysville California KMG 365
Cool
Thank you so much for this. I had a hemiplegic stroke in 1978 as a young teenager and it wiped out most of my childhood memory. Seeing this helped bring some of it back again. Thank you.
Perfect for a new playlist.
I was 9 on the 4th.
Pages with a blur.
I'd vote right now for bringing back cigarette/tobacco ads!
Hi, I'm curious if this issue has a preview for the short-lived David Gerber police procedural "Lady Blue"?
It's on the grid Thursdays at 9, sharing the timeslot with The Colbys. I'm sorry that I didn't include any pictures. I'll try to dig it out and see what there is.
I did find the preview! It seems the Thursday page was Stuck to Friday and I missed it! (UNstuck now, no damage!) Want me to send it to you?😊
THE FALL PREVIEW EDITION!!!! This was my bible when I was a kid. I always read the write up on all the new shows and predicted which ones would make it.
Totally awesome! Thank you for the memories - even the advertisements of some of the things I bought back then.
Seeing these vintage issues of TV Guide brings back a boatload of memories.
This is nostalgic-Thanks for posting!
Can't believe this is from 50 years ago-Thanks for posting!
I remember when you couldn't properly watch TV without a 'TV Guide'. I actually miss the days of appointment television. It gave everyone something in common to talk about the next day. 😊
I remember that game show Treasure Hunt. I wanted to be on it. But I was just a kid. And Maude; that show was too controversial for me and my sister. We weren't allowed to even come in the bedroom when my mom watched it.
We ised to subscribe to TV Guide. I liked reading the article's and lnowing what was coming on. I miss the small TV Guides.
This was kool and my the mom was always my favorite especially how she always put her kids n check.
I only enjoy season one wasn't crazy about the season 2.
I love this show my favorite show ❤❤❤❤#DisneyDiva ❤
I've loved that Dominic Frontiere theme for Search!
I never knew Loretta Swit is so tiny!
I wanted to say Publix but I hit the wrong button, sorry.
It's to bad that The TV guide is not around any more and I miss it. I mean where else can you get TV shows and times and enjoy reading the articles? I love the Fall preview because it would tell about all of the new TV shows that were coming out and hoping to be watched by the
The very BEST of t.v. imo
That was fun! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it! I'll do more eventually! 😀
I’d go back anytime.

I will! My attention span is not helping! 😊 I went off several tangents with my Comics, 45s, and writing a Book about my time in The Biz! (On page 226!)
