I owned the Gibson version of this guitar for over 3 years over a decade ago and it is BY FAR AND BEYOND my deepest regret that I sold that guitar on eBay. I'm looking to replace it and saw this epiphone version of it and I'm really close to pulling the trigger.
Rock on my friend
i currently have a schecter sunset 7 extreme, and my hod, i cannot describe how bad i want this km7, that thing is stunning looking
dont impressed by steve vai? and impressed by satriani? really?seriously dont tell that in public
@@katseazzz it’s my personal account with both of them. Devin Townsend was an incredibly nice guy. We were told to not even make eye contact with Vai in the hallway….
Amazing😊
Do You actualy live in Heaven? How do i get that as many Guitars as that?
@JeromeKenny lol. it looks like a lot but it really isn’t. I buy older inexpensive guitars and rebuild them. Not worth much but I find it builds a connection with the guitar. The relationship becomes symbiotic. Some of my favorite guitars only cost me $150-200. I’ve sold most of the expensive ones. For me there’s no point. I only play for my own therapy. Experience, not expense is where I’ve found the substance in music. The guitar I’m playing in this video cost me $200. …though being OCD doesn’t help…😂
Nice playing and tone! ☺️👌
Thank you, very much. With all the nerve damage in my left hand from my accident I have good days and bad days. I revel in the good days and often times get lost in playing for hours…though I do pay for it with wrist and hand pain… but it’s so worth it..😎
As a 60 yr old... I feel ya brother.... nothing transports one back in time , like music can... fully watched..... nicely done.... let’s keep playing til our hands give out....
I’m just behind you in age, being a very early X’er, I believe we grew up with some of the best music ever created. The tones, the players, the simplicity and the messages were clear as a bell.
Try lowering your pickups instead of putting them to high to get more volume from the strings vibration and don't forget to turn up your amp! Also get some Gibson pump polish and keep cleaning the neck with it and eventually it won't stick anymore 😊
@@Alfonzo862 I tried all of that. I’ve already parted ways with it. It wasn’t for me. I’m currently looking for a vintage 61 SG. Played one recently and fell in love..
@Thenon-mediocreguitarist what a shame about your sg. However, I hope that you're having much better luck with the 61 vintage SG. My 2022 sg standard 61 was $3699 dollars in Oz and even though it's not perfect I still like it. However, I have been eying a customshop sg 61les paul and it would be nice to own, but they're here about $8,000 dollars and that is a big chunk of change to pay for a home playing guy like myself. By the way, have you tried the Gibson SG standard 61 master vibrola in the faded finish because on those guitars, you wouldn't get that sticky neck problem? I actually wanted one of those 61 sg's but couldn't get one because they didn't have them in stock, so I got the gloss stop tail Gibson 61 sg standard instead
I got a new Gibson SG standard after trying it next to the 61 version... I did not like that skinny neck... The full pick guard standard sounded so much fatter with a roaring mid range.. The wider but slim neck is perfect... The 61 sounded thinner and muddy for my liking... I have never tried the model that you have, but guess it is similar to the 61 in feel... The Epiphones are nice too but I just can't get on with the look and feel of the Indian Laurel fretboards... I have it on a Casino and it's unpleasant... Rosewood, Ebony and maple for me any day... Having said that, I do have a Gibson custom inspired high end epiphone les paul custom custom which has the ebony fretboard and gibson pickups and electrics.. Its great.
@@pauljohnson3686 I’m currently looking for “the right” 61 as we speak…
Thanks, man, this vid sealed a deal waiting for me. Getting this beauty in a week! Best!
Just one correction: it has the Edge tremolo and not the Edge Zero. Cheers
As a mostly mediocre guitarist, and a dad... I can only say that I approve of this message. 😁
@@dwstoeckel4740 it’s an amazing thing to look at a child and realize they’re here because of you. So profound. There’s alot more to my story but let’s just say I’ll never take any time with my daughter and grandson for granted.
I'm glad I found your video sir. My local shop has one of these and I don't know which part of the equation it is, neck thru body, bridge with brass string thru block, Ernie Ball nut. I don't know. But it was the most resonant guitar in the store. I'm not even a 7 string guy but was tremendously impressed by it's playability. I've been thinking about it ever since. Very well made.
@@TurbulentJuice unequivocally one of the best guitars I’ve ever played. In my opinion, dollar for dollar it’s difficult to fault Schecter.. I’d put the KM3 artist up against 99% of the upper tier hand made guitars.. ie Skervesen, OD and the like. Now don’t get me wrong, there are some beyond amazing guitars out there, however price wise the whole law of diminishing returns kicks in and Schecters makes way more logical sense..
It's a stunning guitar. Lundgrens come from Sweden not Switzerland. Sweden, back in the days was one of the lands where the vikings originated, so that's cool :) You don't need to apologize to anyone m8 - if for example having 5 guitars is what makes you happy then you should keep all 5 :) keep chuggin!
@@thndr_strck_999 it’s one of the nicest guitars I’ve ever played…I actually ended up returning it because of a QC issue that appeared shortly after purchase. It was minor and if it had been used I would’ve kept it…. But new? Not a chance. I’d like to play a hybrid and the artist back to back to see if the extra almost $1k is worth it. Thank you for watching my video. I love doing them. The most fun iv had in a long time.
That fretboard spacing is why my tele is a jazzcaster.
18 minutes and no tone demo?
if you look on my channel youll find videos of me playing it. thank you for asking..
Hi 😊. If you find a guitar you like and bond with , don't despair if it has a high gloss neck. You can easily render that. If 🎭 you mask off the head and body carefully and with some 0 or 00 steel wool rub off the sheen gently and Bob's your uncle. Don't be afraid to make an instrument your own. Production guitars are just generic concepts, they are just a rough tool to be modified, even the most expensive boutique guitars fall short of being good 🎵🎶 musical instruments.Have Fun . Best Regards. John.
@@johnwebb2562 thank you, John. Appreciate the input…
@@Thenon-mediocreguitarist No worries . Keep on Rockin. John.
I recommend grey and white 3m abrassive pads instead of steel wool. Steel wool, especially the fine stuff, can embed in wood pores and will rust. Also, it will be attracted to the pickup magnets.
I have this guitar and the neck rocks on it! I love playing this Inverness Green monster.
To mediocre guitar, I certainly believe you.I don't have much knowledge in the finish dept.I like it, or I dont.I always play it clean through a small amp,or NO SALE. There are people who are too far away from a music store, so they buy sight only. How in the Frick, do you do that? For a two hour drive to save hundreds,do the math. Then AFTER .the purchase they try it OK. by me,besides who cares,it's not what I do that matters. Thanks for the answer, I would really like to know if it's you, or the guitar. No reason for me to lie, l am over 70, never had that problem.Have a shiny red SG by Gibson, 2020. I am no expert, but my friend has a Gibson, 2006 , no problem, maybe they put a chemical in somewhere ? Let me know, keep playing, no matter what! GOOD LUCK, BROTHER!d
I paid 1800, you paid 3 grand! No wonder your disappointed, way too much, don't like the finish on yours either.Epiphone is ok, call China tell them.I have tried Epiphone, but prefer Gibson, since 1967, SG. They are made by Gibson, they are quality. It's like guns, buy a gun you like, regardless of opinions.
We get it, you like the CHINESE guitar, cool, I have a Epiphone Riviera, like a 335 Gibson. I think back then, groups like Paul Revere and the Raiders ,Wailers, many used the Riviera. Thought it was made in states.I played most rock festivals, if l didn't sweat, I would not be human, I don't understand, everyone sweats under Klieg lights.I certainly did following Ike and Tina Turner at Satsop river festival 1973. Why didn't you play any of the unsteady guitars and the problem one either? JUST WONDERING! Do you perform, or play in your room.Either is great but your disappointment may be you never had a Gibson, too much expectation.I. bought a SG standard four years ago, I love the finish! Easy ,.light love rosewood, have a Les Paul custom prefer rosewood to ebony. My SG looks nothing like yours. Wish you would have played at least a little!
@@frankdardano3182 honestly, the way my hand stuck to the back of the neck made it a pain to play….from my understanding there were issues on these with the clear they used on the neck…which I would definitely agree with.
I will be buying a purple one soon
@@GaryHughes-h9b every time I look at it I’m reminded how blessed I am to have it. Joe started it all for me. Met him at Vai academy in ‘19…
Love the music.
Wow, .I’ve heard and read about people preferring a satin finish to the back of the neck of their electric guitars. I’ve also learned of players feeling more comfy with Epiphone models than Gibson ones. This could be the first time I’ve been conscious of a player saying their hands stuck to the back of the neck of any guitar. That is especially surprising after having myself owned several Epiphone guitars, all with gloss finish at the back of the neck and my only Gibson model, a Les Paul in gold, having a gloss finish on the body and a satin finish on the back of the neck - and suffered no neck drag on any of them. All that being said, I still otherwise relate to why your Gibson SG disappointed you and you chose to stick with the Epiphone. I have toyed with the idea through most of the 29 years that I have been a guitar player (having begun learning to play in 1995) with the idea of getting an SG model. Every time I become tempted by one, I back off. At the end of 2021, I instead purchase a different Epiphone model, a Flying V from a 2009 line that was exclusive to the Canadian retailer Long and McQuade, the Negative line. It feels kind of savory being an American musician located in New York City whose current Epiphone guitar model originated on the Canadian market.
@@Shred_The_Weapon I stopped by GC today to play an ESP E-II that I saw online. I was surprised that my hand dragged terribly on the gloss finish neck. I have an E-II and my hands don’t drag. It’s definitely got something to do with the makeup of the clear coat..
You have the ignorant bias that alot of guitarists have. I had it as well. Once you realize that they are human beings making guitars EVERY day. Then you realize you get good at it. China manufactures can make anything you ask for. You want cheap? Here is your chibson. You want high quality? Here is your Eastman. I have an Epi 61 IBG that I love. Also have a westcreek racer that was 200 bux new. Its an amazing guitar.
I have that same guitar. I love the sound but hate the neck. Too wide and flat.
with my sausage fingers, wider is better for me. 😆
if it has stainless steel fret that would absolutely be perfection
Huge fan of epiphone, (casino lover here..) love good quality affordable gear... fan of epiphone, bugera, behringer etc..
I'm not fond of the fact that its made in a country that despises ours, however good is good. and they've gotten really good at making decent guitars at a decent price point....though the prices are starting to climb rapidly for any guitar with a brand name regardless where its made.
Enjoyed the video... please disregard those negative comments and just do what ya do. I enjoy guitar related conversation, if people don’t “have time” they probably should click off and not watch... new sub here... I’ll see ya ‘round

I also purchased the EPIPHONE WORN Cherry SG Classic. The tone and playability and visual effects and appeal is top notch . It also has made me want to get another SG as well.
I have two of these. An amber one like you have there and a wine/purple stained twin. Bought the wine one new in Brisbane and years later, saw the amber one on Reverb. It was in Lithuania...Bought it and shipped it out here to Australia. I dunno what your 24V mod is.
Both of mine are neck throughs. One day I'll cut a three mm copper pick guard for the amber one.

Man you talked but no clean samples
@@MegaGuitman I love the full Satch effect…. Sorry but I hardly ever use clean unless I’m on a strat..and besides the cleans on P90’s are so shrill…
All due respects dude. It's 2024. Anyone who's paying attention knows knows the mid-upper range Squiers and Epi's these days are pro-level guitars in their own right, with great looks, build quality, playability, and tone. How bout you play it a little for us?
@@chooko9250 if you look at my channel a little more you will find me playing it a bit. I own several Squiers… there’s no doubt they’ve come a long way, however the essence of this guitar is a game changer if you play one. It is unequivocally an absolute masterpiece to play. Effortlessly…. And with my left arm and wrist so badly damaged from my motorcycle accident..ease to play is very important to me. Especially because I can’t feel much of my left hand and fingers from the nerve damage. This guitar makes that handicap “almost” disappear for me. Very few guitars do that. If you get a chance to play one of these I’d highly recommend it. Thank you for watching my video. I appreciate every comment..
@@Thenon-mediocreguitarist very interesting to know.
I think one of your specs was wrong dude...... It should be an Alder body, NOT basswood like you said unless early ones were basswood, Im not sure! I own the same guitar and its Alder. There lovely guitars.

I just saw a picture of this guitar on Instagram and came to TH-cam to find videos on it. I never heard of this guitar before and it’s cool. I wish that Schecter continued producing these.

For such an inexpensive guitar, it’s spot on in so many respects.
does it neck dive?
A little but nothing like the Gibson sg.

@1:55 JS2410 is Alder body, not basswood. (not being argumentative just some people won't buy basswood guitars, they dent easy and wont hold screws like alder/mahogany.) The js2410 is Alder on ibanez specs.
You are 100% correct. The 2400 and 2480 are basswood. Appreciate the correction
Ignoring those few shit comments that aren't true, your playing is fantastic and is full of soul. Please keep up the great content as you do!
Thank you very much for the kind words. I appreciate it immensely. I play guitar because I love everything about it. In my 55+ years I’ve found lots of people have nothing better to do than be asshats. I’m not doing this for them. I’m doing it for me and hopefully inspire many more to pick up the guitar and exclaim “if he can do it… so can I”.
I just found your video on my recommended, I totally agree on your opinion about this guitar! A lot of people seem to hate it but I can't stop being obsessed with it 🔥 I am sorry to see your comment section you truly don't deserve it! I am glad that you can still play the guitar even after such a bad bike accident! I had someone getting overly angry about my Etherial in my comment section too I was even told my guitar was gonna break in pieces and I would have regretted buying it 😆 Reality is I never got a problem with my guitar nor regretted buying it AT ALL 🔥. Everyone should use their money as they like the most and you made a great investment , that guitar is dope! 🤘I hope you will be able to keep on playing and vibing, music is truly a blessing !
It’s a tech nerds wet dream.. lol. People can post anything they like. Doesn’t phase me in the slightest. I’m going to keep playing and posting. Glad you found my videos. Rock on.
Saving up for this exact one. Had different KM Korean models throughout the years, and they were all insane. Really eager to try those Lundgrens. This is basically the closest thing you can get to exotic territory (Mayones, Skervesen, etc) from a mass production factory. That Lagoon finish is glowing from the screen. lol Cheers.
The blue color is insane in person. Video or pictures don’t do it justice. You won’t be disappointed
A little rough but I’m working on building this into a song

Thank you. It really is stunning to look at. Looks and playability make it an A++ in my book.
