I just cant get over the fact it says " the 1st harry hole novel " .. Harry Hole ????
not American he is British
😂😂😂
I have seen the movie, the book is on my tbr for a long
I’m reading this now, I just began reading it today. So far it’s great. Not normally my genre but I decided to give it a try.
In her most masterful novel of medical suspense, New York Times bestselling author Tess Gerritsen creates a villain of unforgettable evil-and the one woman who can stop him from killing again.Weird but good, a most read.
Awesome review
I like how you call him Harry Holy, like in the first book 😂
Worst review
Ich fand das Ende mit Jude der einfach nur erschossen wird enttäuschend.
Hello, just stumbled across your channel. Your reviews are fab without any pretensions, straight and to the point. Could you please review " His bloody project" by G M Burnet.
Can you review da Vinci code by Dan brown. And by the way thanks for the review I am going to read this novel for sure. I had purchased it.❤️
You should never say you will keep your review unbiased or any review, factually all humans have some level of bias, you doing a book review will be automatically biased. Say you didn't like the book then that would biased. Likes and dislikes are nothing more than biases you may like chocolate and cheese I personally not the biggest fans of those things. The last thing I'll add is that you were already fascinated by her story and that may have to do with having a shared identity as you both are women. Both of you share a struggle, woman still deal with BS from men
th-cam.com/video/-qJ7FD7NHTQ/w-d-xo.html Bullet Train Book review.
Just finished "In the darkness" and started searching for something related to this book. After aftertaste of this book is strong. I just needed an hour to sit and analyze all the circumstances and step-by-step again came to outcome
Thanks for the review! I just saw the movie and thought it was brilliant. I do have some questions and you did say you'd be ok to discuss the book. Did the book have The Lone Wolf and the Hornet? I don't think the movie explained why the Lone Wolf was involved.
The Wolf is there to kill the hornet. At first it seems like he’s there to kill Ladybug, but the only reason he’s there is because he has the picture of the Hornet and is trying to kill her for what she did at his wedding. He only wants to kill Ladybug because he spilled the wine on him during the wedding, which is why he says “Looks like it’s a two for one special”
The Wolf in the book is different. He’s just like a hired thug who used to work for Terehara, the big bad in charge before Minigishi, he and Ladybug have a confrontation in which the Wolf is humiliated and thus that is why in the book he wants to kill Ladybug. The Hornet is also in the book and their purpose is similar to the movie
@@GameFreak3099 oooh so he recognized Ladybug for the spill, got it, thanks for the reply! But did the main bad guy intend for Wolf to be on board the train too? It didn't look like he had a problem with Wolf.
@@BenDaresAll Oh no, the main bad guy had no idea the Wolf was there. The Wolf is only there because of Hornet, who he found out is responsible for the disaster at his wedding, really the Wolf has no reason to be their at all. In the book, he specifically knows Ladybug is going to be on the train and that’s why he shows up in that version
In the last sentence “he” is referring to the Wolf
Great job! I’ve seen the show! But I will be reading the book as well! Thank you ! ☺️ Do you like any of the True Detective series?
What a great review .....!!
Thank you very much! 😊💐📖
Thanks
I've started to read it. And your vidio really helped me
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊💐 I’m happy to know that you found my review useful! 📖😀
What are the trigger warnings?
Thank you for your question! 😀 I would not say that there are any “trigger warnings” in this book. As far as I can remember from my experience this book was fairly clean. Sure there are some “murder scenes”, and something “bad” that he tries to remember and sees strange dreams, but I can’t say that they are overly disturbing and super descriptive. Like there is a “nightmare type of dream” which can be disturbing, but you can also skip few pages, when the Main Character starts seeing his wife in his dream, and you won’t have any problem. After all of you did read any type of Nordic noir books or Stephen King horror books, and you were fine, this one won’t be disturbing for you in any way. 😊 I hope my answer helped. 😀📖📚
Wow, so cool to see you on TH-cam!😃 Pitty I can’t share my thoughts on the book, but it does sounds like quite an entertaining read! Great video, I enjoyed watching💐 Now you will be my guide in the books’ world😀
Cool review 👍 thank you 😊
👍👍👍🌸
This book sounds interesting. I think I will give it a try in future. Currently I am reading The lying game by Ruth Ware. Have you read it? If yes, how did you like it?
Let me know how you will like it! 😀📖 I have mixed emotions about The Lying Game... I liked the plot and the idea behind it, the diversity of characters the 4 friends, but I did find it in a way slow... too slow at times... 😅 what about you?
@@roxiewellreads I finished it. Can't say I liked it much. The plotline felt very flat. There were no major twist or some kind of revelation at the end.
@@SagarsDeck I read it a while back, that reminds me that the ending was a bit disappointing, I expected more at the end, so I didn’t do review on that one. 😅 I try to review books that I liked and found interesting. 😊 I’m thinking weather or not give a go on her debut novel in dark dark wood, it should be more interesting, but there are also a lot of mixed reviews. So I’m not so sure… did you read it? 😀📖
@@roxiewellreads yes I did, but honestly I didn't like it much either. But yes better than The lying game definitely. I think the debut novel was too conventional. She just followed the usual tropes. Though many people liked it. You said it right, it has a very mixed rating on Goodreads. If you should read it or not . . . well I think you can, but I guess you would predict it pretty early 😃😃
Just found your channel and I love it !! Great review :)

😍🥰🥰🥰 beautiful girl 👧🏻 thank you for interesting review 👍 happy new year 🎄💓🎄
Thank you! 💐💖🎄⭐️
It's one of my favorite thriller books, loved your depiction of it. Please do videos about Peter Swanson's other books. I also love your little secrets about the authors in each of your videos. Lots of love❤❤
Thank you very much! 😀💐 I'm very happy to know that you also loved this book, and my review of it! 😀📖💖 I have other books by him on my TBR list, which is growing at ridiculously fast speed.😅 But at the moment I'm not sure which book by him to pick next (after some other book reviews that I have lined up), Every Vow You Break, Before She Knew Him or The Kind Worth Killing? They all sound very interesting... Can you suggest which one to do next? Also in March his new book Nine Lives is scheduled to come out. Looking forward to it! 😍 I'm happy to know that you like to get to know little secrets about author, thank you for the feedback! 💐 I think they can sometimes help us understand the story better and the the author too. 😊 Lots of love ❤️
@@roxiewellreads among Swanson's other books I like most The kind worth killing. You must give it a try. Who are your other favorite thriller authors? Have u read C . J . Tudor? She is an excellent writer. Also I loved your take on the little secrets about the authors, that they really help us to understand their mindset .
Thank you for your suggestion! 😀 I will for sure make the review then of The Kind Worth Killing as the next Swanson book. 😊📖💐 No, I didn't read any books by her yet, the Chalk Man though is on my TBR, as I'm intrigued by the name and the hype it was on a while back. Excited to read it. 😊 It's hard to say who are my favorites from the top of my head... 😅 Almost in every thriller book I read so far I like some things that authors say, or a character or the plot, or even just the idea they came up with. But I can say that the ones that stood out for me this year the most were The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides, Mike Omer with his series about profilers was good, especially the first 2 books, 3rd one was ok, and 4th just starting to read, Neon Killer by J.S. Locke was a good read, very interesting characters and the plot! 😍 I also enjoy books by Jo Nesbo, although they are on a dark side, and Jean-Christophe Grangé, but unfortunately my most favorite books by him, as Lontano and Congo Requiem, were not yet translated into English... Same for Michelle Busi and his book "On la trouvait plutôt jolie" / "We found her rather pretty" was very interesting, I wish that all books would be automatically translated at least into English... Oh and recently I also enjoyed reading a lot was In the Dark by Anne White, it was very addictive, a good detective story, with the psychological context of people turning into "animals" as in Lord of Flies, no rules, and fear taking over people, making them follow their survival instincts. 😊 Sorry for the long reply 😅 I just love talking about books... 😂📖
Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁🌟 thank you, good review 👍
Thank you vey much! 😊 Merry Christmas! 🎄💫🎁

Hello Roxie I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. As soon as my studies allow me a little more time, I will read some of these books you have introduced to us all. I love your channel and wish you continued success. Your old work colleague Deni

Hi. Can you make a summary of the book as well 😁
Hey! Thank you for your comment, but unfortunately if I tell about the whole book, it won’t be a spoiler free anymore… 😅 but if you have any specific questions about it which you want to know, I’ll be happy to answer them here. 😊📖
❤️❤️❤️👍
OMG you are soo cute I love your accent ❤❤ I am starting this book today.
Thank you very much! 💐😊 I hope you will enjoy it! Let me know how you found it. 😀 Happy reading! 📖
I am reading and liking, amazing book
I'm happy that you like it too! 😊💐 I think that it's one of the rare books, where philosophy, action and some historical/cultural elements are well balanced. 📖
Did u read it in English ? Was it hard reading in non native language?
Thank you for your question! 💐 Yes I read it in English, as unfortunately I don't speak Danish, so I can't read his works in the language they were written in originally. But I think that these days when books are translated in English, or any other language by professionals, they do a great job not to loose anything in the translation process. 😊
Thank you for your informative interesting review 👍❤️👍
Thank you! I'm happy that you liked it! 😊💐
Action comedy? Not interested.
Some genres are not for everyone. 😊
I recently read this book.. I think there is something weird🤔. In this kind of books, I mean detectives with the serial killers as main character, killer is just one person so it's hard to guess who is killer. But in this book there are two of them... At the end detective finds this person via university teacher and the groupmate of that two. So from my point of view teacher and that girl had to understand who could be killer.. they both saw that Andrew Capra and Warren Hoyt were friends and not good people. So it must be easy for them to recognize everything from the beginning. Thus, I guess its like they made the circle and found killer... That is just my opinion, but still I think the way that they found killer is weird. Thanks for review 🥰
Thank you so much for your comment and for sharing your opinion on the book! 😀💐I agree with you, I also thought it was strange, and not as it would have happened in real life... I mean if you do find a suspect, the first thing a detective usually does, is to investigate the relationships of the potential killer from friends, family members, colleagues, university friends, etc. And here they only got the lead to his "circle" after a hypnosis session? It was strange, but it also was a first detective book of Tess Gerritsen, so I do give her a credit of making it not so "real", plus the story line was interesting overall. 💐📖 Thank you very much for your support! 😊💖
Beautiful Roxie, thank you for your informative exciting reviews👍💐👏
Thank you so much! 💐😊
Great Stuff!!
Thank you! 💐😊
Thank you for interesting review of this book 👍
Thank you for your kind words and support! 💐😊💖
It will become apple 🍎 TV series no?
I hope so, so far I can say that adopting this book into a movie is getting on hold all the time, I think the first time they wanted to make the movie was all the way back in 2004... but I hope this time they finally will do it! 😀💐
It was supposed to have Johnny Depp play the lead in the feature film that was to be released in 2008 but the writers/strike happened in late 2007.
Shantarameans Man of Peace which is so spiritual thing to be in its theme 🌆
I agree, it also fits the character very well on his journey! 😀 And I also loved how he got that name in the village. 😊
Roxie just started reading redbreast .I don't know where this is going .it is told in different stories I don't know how to connect them.will it get easier or I'm gonna be stuck forever?
Hey Scouse! 😀 if I remember correctly redbreast is about WW2, and the US president coming to Norway? I think at the start of the novels by Jo Nesbo you can get a bit confused. Cuz he is showing the story from different perspectives. Like there is Harry Hole, main character, then he shows the perspective and the past of the criminal (the old guy who was in WW2) in this book, and in other books also from perspective of the victim. To get the full picture, but as you read on, at least from my experienceX all those puzzle pieces which didn’t make much sense before start to fall into their places. So I don’t think you will be stuck if you just go with a flow and, take those stories one at a time. Without worrying too much to understand yet, but leaving it for later as the story unfolds. 😀 plus maybe as you are reading from the 3rd book, it could take you a bit longer to get used to the style of Jo Nesbo writing in these series… let me know how is it going for you! I hope you will enjoy the book and soon will be able to connect with it! 🍀📖🥰💗
Do you need to read all Harry hole books to follow the story or u can read just one
The crime scenes I would say are not really related to each other, each book has a new criminal who is not related to other ones. Also books don’t tell you everything what was in previous ones so you won’t know exactly everything unless you read the previous one. But if you don’t read them in the order you are not going to experience growth of the main character. He has a pretty hard life, with a lot of disappointments, and at in the first book The bat he is just a “normal guy”, but with every new crime he gets more “hurt” and changes. Also he meets a woman who he falls in love with, and they have an on and off relationship which her, and it can’t be followed properly if read not in the order. 📚 So it depends what experience you are looking for. 🙂 if you are purely interested in just crimes and investigation - read whatever you want in any order. If you want to also know how Harry Hole changes in the process - read them in the order. 😀 Hope it helps, and let me know if you liked the Jo Nesbø Harry Hole series. 😀📖 enjoy! 💐
Plus if you just interested to get the “feel of the story” and read one in any order, you can always go back to the very beginning and “catch up” on the main character. 😊
@@roxiewellreads thanks for the respond .the problem is I can't afford to buy all of them even if I did they are not translated to my native language. for example the bat is not .so what I mean is should I buy snowman and read ? If I do will I ruin the story ...I mean as someone who read them all would have bought one without starting from finish?
@@ilqar887 thank you for clarifying! 😀 I understand you being worried about ruining the experience of the whole storyline, if you miss some books, but I don’t think it should be an issue, Because I think that people who translated the series in your language chose the highest rated and most popular books, so you should not miss out on much. Especially if only a book or two are missed in between. So I would go with the first one available at the moment in your language, if it’s snowman, it was a very interesting story and you won’t be completely lost even if it’s a 7th book of the series. Jo Nesbø is a very good author who will not leave you walking in the darkness. But if you also can find an earlier story , such as cockroaches book 2, or Nemesis no. 4, I would recommend going with them first, before the snowman. It’s just these series, I can’t really say which book is “not worth reading” because they are all good… 😅 but probably the very last one the Knife, I didn’t love as much as other ones in the series, because… well I didn’t agree with the author on killing someone I liked. 😅 If it will help you, I’m planning to start reviews on this series of Jo Nesbø, in a near future. So maybe it will be easier for you to pick exactly books you want to read, knowing a short summery, if you can’t get all… Next story I’m reviewing is shantaram, then can start with Harry Hole from the very first one. 😊
@@roxiewellreads I'm looking forward to your reviews
Gosh, what a tricky dilemma to be in.
Yes! I don't know what I would choose... 😅
