Thurlestone beach diving with Bristol-based Extreme Marine. Abundance of greenery and Louis Sheid wreck. It was my first UK dive, I didn't know what to expect - max. depth was 6.7m, so for a baby diver like me, it was quite hard to keep my buoyancy intact AND to try and use my GoPro AND a new video light. Add to it that I was in a semi dry with a shortie on top, which I used for the first time ...

Magic of the Red Sea - My second time diving in total, completing the Advanced Adventurer course with SSI at Camel Dive Club. Beautiful flora and fauna of the Red Sea around Sinai in Egypt. I borrowed a GoPro for a couple of dives and the effects are in this video.
Matchy matchy - KTM 390 Adventure x2

My first ride on the KTM 390 Adventure in Dorset. Matching KTM390 Adventure 2021 bikes; nice gravel roads, some green lanes and a few falls for both of us that weren't captured (I know, it would have been fun!) Best bit - the ford we had to cross and we loved it so much that did it twice :D The GoPro was off during the hardest ruts - perhaps we shall video those the next time!

March 2022 - I was lucky to go greenlaning with Sam on one of his bikes. What an amazing experience! I had a couple of scary moments but those just prove why bikers should use all the gear all the time!
Trying a Triumph Explorer 1200

Short (ish) girl on a Triumph Explorer 1200. This seemed like a conquer. I couldn't move a similar bike off its side stand in December. It was much easier now, not sure why. Around 300kg kerb weight with all the stuff attached to it, 835mm seat height - I did take it for a short spin afterwards - and I didn't drop it!

I Love the KTM adventure 390 such a fun bike .
This is more my type of riding , last bike 650 BMW but I am now 71. Living in Thailand. Got grandkids to teach soon , been riding since 14 yr old. I am scared of town traffic here but early in the morning is best. Roads here are rough & narrow. Also considering Yamaha road twin I have 29" inseam .
I have a 2020 model with 7400 miles on. Enjoy it tremendously. This bike is a great buy for the money then build it to suit you. Has enough power to keep things interesting.

Thanx for the review. I am a 50 years old total beginner and thinking to buy my first bike (I am 1,83 cm high with 105 kg). The cb500x is on the top of my list but also the ktm 390 adventure and the CFmoto MT650.... Difficult to choose, want to have a practical bike for commuting but also go on some touring in my country with enough power and not 'difficult' for a beginner as me. Ride safe and regards from Serbia 🇷🇸✌️
Thank you Alen. I have no experience with CFmoto. The Honda is heavier and has a lower ground clearance than the KTM. It depends if you want to take any of those bikes off road, what kind of rides you will do - they will be both good bikes for a beginner. You are a taller rider so you will not have any issues with either of those bikes height - comutting will be OK, and so will touring (for touring I'd change the screen on the 390, which is mega easy; if you want to take it off road, then put handle bar risers - you being taller, your standing position may be a bit cramped otherwise)

Nice . Chest mount is better for showing a bit of bike and ahead. You need a rooster guard or something large to screw the camera to so it don’t move around. The GoPro chesty is a bit small. I got my GoPro for off roading on the side of my helmet, lens further away from the side. It mostly shows just the trail and you have to be careful if you fall . Not ideal place for a camera. Camera On the bike and vibration will make audio bad .
I forgot that I had bought a chest mount, just spotted it the other day actually. I thought the top of helmet worked fine, but it needs checking by another person regarding the angle, etc. I am not an advocate of mounting a cam to the helmet, this was an offroad only, and I am glad I did not have it on the side of my helmet as that's where my head hit the rock.
