Wots the true orthodox church catholic apostolic church or one apostolic church
Oh so saints appeared to this man? So this validates him? What about to angels coming to Joseph Smith? And he went on to lead a great cult still known to this day. Or when the apostle paul said EVEN IF ANGELS APPEAR TO YOU and preach some other gospel, let them be accursed. You pointing to some mystical guy who had spiritual powers, which i would agree are real, yet they come from devils. Does not validate your religion. You need to be born again, or you will perish in he'll. God never saved a righteous man, he came to save the lost sinners.
@SaintIzaiah What about his piety and meekness? Something that Joseph Smith (Mohammed 2.0) never had. In his full video, Fr. Paul literally says that miracles themselves are not proof because even demons can perform them. You missed the point. Humble yourself.
What do you think of the Coptic Saints?
As a Protestant studying and learning about Orthodoxy my immediate response to “show me your Saint Paisios” is Jesus. Why do I need the a saint when I can go straight to the Savior? Truly and genuinely why?
@jessgirl8292 The purpose of the Church is to produce Christ-like people. If your church is not doing that, then it can't be better or more true than Orthodox Church, which actually produces Christ-like people like St. Paisios. This is not about needing a Saint, but what kind of fruit your church produces.
@ That makes sense because I’m looking at myself as an individual instead of part of the body of Christ, the Church. But I still have an personal relationship with God, so why again would I seek what I need from anyone other than Him?
@@jessgirl8292 Well, you need to change that. Christianity was always about community, and we partake in Holy Communion with Christ in the Eucharist. We are members of His body with Him as our head. That is why we worship together, take communion together and pray together. 1 Corinthians 12:21-26 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24 which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Asking a Saint for a prayer is the same as asking your brother or sister on Earth to pray for you. We are members of the same body and need each other.
From what you say it seems that you mean that Orthodoxy becoming really popular in the USA as well as other places that are not traditionally orthodox is some kind of false fad that will pass?
@ReelNut I think there are people that like the idea of Orthodoxy but aren't looking to commit fully. Time will reveal people's intentions. However, there is no avoiding the exponential growth that the Church is experiencing right now in America. To that, I say Glory to God ☦️
@@ImperatorOrca Isn't the growth that the Church is experiencing right now contrary to what Seraphim Rose wrote? And he was not the only one. I think there is a paradoxical element somewhere.
@@ReelNut I don't think he would be against a sincere influx into the Orthodox Church
@@ImperatorOrca Who knows, maybe it is true that prophecies are warnings that can be changed by prayer.
@@ReelNutif you read blessed Seraphim's writings he also never forecasted the fall of judeo-bolshevism in Russia and the repentance of the Russian people back to Orthodoxy. Just as early saints thought the second coming was imminent Blessed Seraphim must be read in the context of his time.

How is this “prelest”? It’s just a compilation of people worshipping. Is being moved by G-d and feeling His presence considered demonic now?
My brother in Christ, this slander of other followers of Christ does not make your denomination look good. In fact, it does the opposite. If you claim orthodoxy is “true,” why do you constantly go against your own teachings of loving your neighbor? Did you forget the part where Jesus commanded his followers to be one.

What is divine thought?
You say modern church are sterile, but how do you know what is their in hearts, brother? The congregations of many small western churches bear good fruit, do they not? The are gentle, peaceful and kind, but apparently that is not good enough? It is all trash unless it is Orthodox, I must assume. Blessed are the meek. God makes great the small. The true Church is the relationship between the Shepard and his sheep, Jesus and the faithful. Where two or more gather in his name, the Holy Spirit is there.
There are false teachings in those churches that can't be overlooked. Being outside the body of Christ is no small thing. Church is the ark of salvation. "If I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth."
@@OrthodoxLoner What are these churches teaching that is false. They preach the gospel, they praise the Lord through song. Brother, I do not understand why the Orthodox Church must act as a bully to some little community church? The Holy Spirit is with them after all, is it not?
@@derekdavis3004 It depends on denomination. Some are worse than others. Can Oneness Pentecostals be members of the body of Christ? If you think they can, you have a serious problem.
@@OrthodoxLoner I had to look up Oneness Pentecostal. And yes, many protestant denominations get many things wrong. Though, that should go without saying. I do not speak any denomination. But is it not also the case that Orthodoxy does not get everything right? All denominations (including Catholicism and Orthodoxy) are earthly institutions, with the true Church being the relationship between Jesus, the head of the Church, and his faithful flock of believers. That is what cannot be overcome, because there has always been gatherings of believers who form the Church. This is what God has revealed to me through his Holy Word.
Church is Earthly and Heavenly, Visible and Invisible institution. When it comes to doctrine, Orthodoxy has the fullness of the truth. Christ promised that He would not leave us, and will send the Spirit to lead us toward the truth. When it comes to clergy, they can make mistakes individually.
It is so incredibly sad to see the other "churches" scrambling to put together ANYTHING Holy to say they have the fullness and claim they are the true church of Christ. It makes the truth even more apparent. Like cleaning your house quick before the relatives come, we all know its not always that clean. The true church doesn't have to canonize website creators and laypeople who lived good lives in order to create "saints". The Orthodox Church produces real saints to this day, only Satan does a great job of blinding non orthodox into never finding them. How can we, as Orthodox, help lead others to the truth?

Thank God we are warned about prelest. Im repenting of pentecostalism. I was troubled by 2 priests I've met saying that it's the "same God but needs to be in a fireplace"...... @@ImperatorOrca
Your question as to how Christ could appear to a holy person and not explain to them that they are in the wrong sect could be asked of the many miracle working saints in the Catholic Church. I obviously believe the Catholic Church to be true. But my point was to show that your line of reasoning on this is off. There are multiple Christian sects with their own miracle working saints who all profess Christ, many of whom received visions, so it is silly to ask why Christ would not show some of them there error. I would agree that it is a mystery as to why Christ would not do so, but it is clear that He sometimes chooses not to for His own purposes. How else could you explain why a sect that you reject, such as Roman Catholicism, would have the same kind of miracle working saints that you claim shows a sure-thing confirmation of that sect being true?
I am sorry but I don't see them as the "same" miracles. Stigmatas and falling into a state of trans with bizarre visions is demonic and prelest.
@@OrthodoxLoner Bearing false witness is a grave sin. The saints that I listed had many of the same miracles that you described, including bilocation and reading of hearts. Some of them cured the sick. Ironic that your video is against Protestants spreading false rumors when you accuse the stigmata, first had by St Paul the Apostle as bearing the wounds of Christ, as demonic. I made no attack on saints from your sect and you accuse ours of demonic influence. Wow.
@@vivacristorey4363 This is dangerous stuff, I can't sugarcoat it. Sorry.
@@OrthodoxLoner No one asked you to sugarcoat anything. You are claiming that the miracles you mentioned in the video are dangerous? I am not really sure what you are talking about.
@vivacristorey4363 I am saying that miracles outside Orthodoxy are dangerous.
You put out a challenge, claiming that there was "no way" that any other Christian sect has saints like St Paisios. Challenge accepted. Show me your Sts Padre Pio, Charbel, Cure d'ars, John Bosco, Francis of Assisi, Aloyisious Gonzaga, Gemma Galgani, Mother Theresa, Stanislaus Kostka, Dominic Savio, etc...(I have to stop the list somewhere). I am not claiming that there are no holy examples of Christians favoured by God in those sects separated from the Catholic Church. But I do think it is bold of you to claim that only your sect has them. And therefore I responded with a list from memory. Each of these on the list showed many great signs of being favoured by God, and there are many more examples. Sts Padre Pio and Charbel are probably the most well known recent examples and known as wonder workers for a reason.
Notice how he said Protestant, not Catholic. Also, St. Gabriel Urgebadze, St. Paisios, St. Silouan the Athonite, St. Herman of Alaska, St. Olga of Alaska, St. Sophrony of Essex, St. John Maximovitch, St. Innocent of Alaska, St. Joseph the Hesychast, St. John of Kronstadt, and these are all modern saints. Don't even get me started on the saints of the medieval days and antiquity.
@@nonameaccount7773 Yes, he did say Protestant at one point. But he also gave a more general statement which included any Christian sect that is not Orthodox. So clearly, he was not limiting it to Protestants. Even if he were it would not address my argument. As for naming a bunch of Orthodox saints you have clearly missed my point. I am well aware of many holy men and women in non-Catholic circles of Christians. I never claimed otherwise. And in fact, I take great joy in learning about them. St Paisios is one of my favourites, and I especially enjoy the story of his childhood when he conquered his doubts regarding if Christ was God or just a man. I pray to him. Me listing a bunch of miracle-working Catholic saints was not to brag. And I was not trying to start a competition. And the truth is not about numbers either way. I mentioned why I listed them. It was in response to an unfair claim made in the video. He directly said that there are not examples of saints who perform such miracles in non-Orthodox Christian sects. He was wrong. And so I wanted to give a thorough answer. If I only named one someone could say it was just an exception, so I listed enough to make my point.
A good principle argument. I use the exact same argument when people speak badly about bad Catholics. I tell them that I don't follow the example of bad Catholics but rather look to the edifying example of the saints - since they truly followed Church teaching.
Pastor Joo-Ki-Chul. It's bold of you to say that there are no saints in the Protestant branch. It is heartbreaking to watch all of you. The fall of western protestant church hasn't even been 100 year and the cause of it is a hyper modernization and the ferocious attack of Marxists. Protestants are the most hazardly persecuted Christians who fought against Marxists. Your willfully narrow vision only see Western countries and dare to look down on thousands of God's people who are being persecuted in the name of Jesus Christ. At this time somewhere on the earth. They don't even think they're "Protestants." They only know Christ. Do you think there are Orthodox Christians in NK whom are being persecuted? Do you know anything about what the underground Christians-in denominational sense, Protestants- in NK has been going through? God will laugh at you with a fierce wrath for your pride. Jesus rebuked the JEWS, God's chosen people. Any of you dare to infiltrate in the NK with the Bible to spread the Word of God? Risking your life, your family's life, against the threat of you being captured alive and tortured for years until you die? There are people like that, RIGHT NOW. While you're watching youtube and looking down on other brethren based on their "Branches." The people themselve don't even think about the branches. Their only goal and their only hope is God. Only if you knew how silly all this is. Only if you were in their shoes for just ONE DAY.
Saint Gabriel of Georgia is another lighthouse of Orthodoxy.
