I want to go for dental assistant in the navy but they want to offer me E-4 for medical assistant. Is there an option to switch over into dental assistant?
@@sharon.ssod1 there is no guarantee that you’ll be able to switch over and if you are able it’ll be years later. I would talk to your recruiter again to try to become a tech if that’s really what you want, hope that helps
I’m currently a dental assistant and I’m wanting to become a dental hygienist . Is it possible to work as a dental assistant in navy or do they have to place you ?
Yes, you can work as a dental assistant for the navy as a civilian dental assistant or join the navy as a hospital corpsman dental assistant. You can also join as a hospital corpsman dental assistant and submit a package to go to dental hygiene school which will lead to a quicker rank up.
The video is useful but the audio isn’t really good but thanks for your service 🫡
Thank you for that lol, bad mic! 😅 thank you for your support!
@@miyasmy8696 can you please make more videos or your experience as a hmda because that’s my job and I’m shipping out next month (I’m Lowkey scared)
@@ayomideagboola6565 will do! And lol don’t be scared, use this month to prepare and you got it 🙌🏾
this video was so helpful for me because im 27 and felt to old to join lol but I currently just took my asvab an scored a 42 and I'm super interested in the HMDA and EM. However I'm two classes away from obtaining my AA; would it be best to get an AA and then join or well I be able to get those six credits while in service?
I would complete my AA before joining, because that’ll give you extra points towards advancement and you’ll also join as an E3 rather than E1! Also, you got this especially if you prepare yourself before shipping out.
