Straight Hair Natural Check-In! Pressing into Month 2!
How's it going?? Its going!
In this video, I have been a straight hair natural for 4 Weeks!
1st Flat Iron: Lasted 3 weeks
2nd Flat Iron: Currently finished my first week and heading into my second.
Now that the thrill is gone concerning wearing it straight down, I am looking for other ways to style it. I have done buns with hair sticks, half up/down with claw clips, and now trying to achieve heatless curls. As you can tell from the video, I am still on the hunt for something that will give good results.
What styles have you tried or would you like to try as a straight hair natural?
Thanks for watching!!

Straight Hair Journey|Month 1
มุมมอง 6321 วันที่ผ่านมา
I debated between a relaxer and becoming a straight hair natural. Straight hair natural won. Now I am on a journey in which consistency and care will be key because it's a thin line between love and hate AND heat-trained and head damaged! After one month in with one flat iron...I think I can do it! Journey with me and find out. If you are curious about becoming a straight hair natural, tune in ...

Jeez girl it's SO damaged!! How much are you cutting off?!!
The colored ends must go!! There is a clear transition from my natural hair color to the light auburn colored ends. The color makes it look soo much worse🥴. The colored part is light (which by default looks damaged) but it also dries out so fast, lastly split ends. My debate is whether I should simply get a cut that takes off all the color OR if I should chunk/trim more than “normal”cut it until the color is gone. What do you think? (I can be indecisive 🤪). That’s for commenting! ♥️
Haha yeah, those look super dead! 😭Omggg yeah!! I can't wait for you to have your natural color back!! That'll look sooo slayyy!! Awwhh jeez girl 😭Yeah, that DEFINITELY needs to go! Omggg I see!! Girlie don't worry, I am SO indecisive too!!! 😭❤ Awwhh of course!! It's an honor to support you!! 💓 Alright, here's my response: Unfortunately, I don't have a definitive answer yet 😅HOWEVER, I would like to discuss it further just to see!! I just wanna make sure I'm making a wise decision for you and your hair, especially since I have knowledge in this field! Would it be okay if I msg you on Insta? If so, what's yours? x
@@ChopItShort I have an Instagram, but I’m not good at checking it as I don’t use it often 😅. I’m leaning towards doing big trims, BUT I also want to hear the opinion of the person that will do it (I’m not going to cut that much hair by myself lbs). So, right now I’m looking for someone local to go to and booking an appointment. 🙏🏽. I’ll record it if I’m allowed to :)
Ahhh I see haha!! What do you use often? Ahhh yeah, that's good that you want an opinion for your stylist too!! I seeee!!! Tysmmm!!! xx
❤❤❤
Thanks for watching! 🙏🏽 ❤
Hello, are you going to trim the color off ? Your hair is still going to have a nice length left and give it about a few months… your hair will be even longer ❤
Yes, the plan is to trim it off. The thing is, I haven’t been to a stylist/beautician in 2 years 🥴. I’m not afraid to get the damage cut off, I’m afraid of what they may actually cut off. But you are right. It’s hair and it will grow back! I just get anxious about others handling my hair. Thanks for the encouragement ♥️. I’m hoping to find a stylist soon and document it. 🙏🏽
@@fini_jones I totally understand people and they energy is not always positive when it comes to long beautiful hair 😭… You probably should vet a stylist well or do it yourself … or find someone you can trust because it’s a long process handling hair .. good luck with your journey!
Beautiful hair 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you 🥰
Nailed it !!!
Thank you 😊

The bonnet thing makes sense, not sure why I never thought of turning the band. Good tip.

Praise the Lord my sister what is a good moisturizer and sealer?
Hi, I’m trying new products at the moment, but my typical go to moisturizers are 1. ORS Olive Oil Moisturizer (hair lotion) when straight or blown out and 2. If my hair is not straight/blown out I simply mist with warm water and reapply my Carol’s Daughter Goddess Strength Leave-in cream as needed. Lastly I always seal with Olive oil (from the grocery aisle; good ol’ “blessed oil”). My hair doesn’t like coconut oil and I’ve never tried jojoba oil or grapeseed oil, but I hear those are great options as well! In times past I was BIG on raw African Shea Butter! I’d melt it down and use it to moisturize my hair…I may need to revisit that! Thanks for asking ❤️.
Thanks Brittany with the weather be coming dry now got to keep it moisturized❤❤
