The tent has been fantastic . I put in a memory foam mattress topper which helped for the longer trips and its been working well .

How much did this reduce your over-all temps by? I've got a black alloy canopy on my ute and I'm finding it's hitting 60C during the heat of the day in full sun.
Can you leave your pillows and blankets in tent and still close it up .
No you can't . Due to its slim factor . I usually just throw the Pillows and sleeping bags in the canopy or on the back seat

Good video mate, just a tip . A bit of silicone spray on your wires that your pulling through the rubber gromet can make things go through easier

Good video, and great idea to stop that sagging. Personally, though, I think the Kings swags are crap. All dome swags will sag a little bit but the sagging on the Kings swag is terrible. The end poles also seem very weak, not holding a firm shape under normal use. I’d rather a swag I don’t have to try to fix with hacks. I suppose they’re popular because they’re cheap, if Kings makes camping affordable for everyone then that is a good thing. 🙂👍🏻

Just a quick note, as per owners manual and common knowledge by auto sparkies, do not connect any accessory negative to the negative terminal of the battery. State of charge and load is sensed via this terminal. All Negative connectors must go to a body or engine earth. i.e. fender bolt or engine bracket bolt. I hope you have had no ill effects, as warranty will be voided.
Is that to avoid a closed loop as in possible eddy currents generation?
@@razvanduta3563 There is a shunt on the negative side of the battery which measures what's going on in terms of amps in and out. All loads should be on the vehicle side of this shunt. Putting something on the battery side of the shunt can cause things to get out of sync. In reality, this device is going to draw so little it probably wont matter to much. However, it would be a major problem for a high draw device like a DCDC charger or winch etc.

Hi just a quick question did you add the ground wire, the online manual says too but my manual doesn't kickass video just says you can if you want I'm a bit confused
I havnt personally . But it is a good idea as any appliance you might use could come across a fault and then will use that earth to discharge the appliance .
Hey mate nice video did you end up running the microwave off the inverter?
I actually sold my whole set up and started again. I just finished setting everything up with kickass gear. Your main concern with the microwave would be the current draw on your battery. When we plug a 700w microwave into the inverter it draws about 100 amps . So it does work but your battery needs to be able to dish out 100 continuous amps so you don't damage the battery !

When you turned your inverter on was your car running to power the inverter or it's connected to the slim battery direct and how often do you charge your inverter battery and what is connect to?
My inverter runs straight off my slimline battery in my canopy . Now that battery was permanently feed from solar or from the alternator via my ctek dc to dc charger . I can do a install video one I get my new set up if you would like :)

Would be nice if you told us what size cable you ran from your battery to inverter and also what size breaker you used
The cable supplied with the inverter is 16mm2 cut to length to ensure no voltage drop or faults occure . In terms of circuit breaker , it's whole purpose is to protect the cable provided . So whatever cable you want to protect pick a breaker that is equal to or just lower then the current carrying capacity of the cable . In this case I think we had 100amp cbs as the start up current exceeded 50 amps for a short period and tripped the breaker .
