Now im glad i shot surf perch last weekend, sitting in the freezer. Next one gonna be fresh sashimi
Great video, alot of good info thanks!!
A lot of times the cervezarias would give you free blocks of ice. I forget how much beer you had to buy. I had a gas Station once I believe near loreto and they had the pumps rigged to start off at, I can’t remember, maybe 5 bucks of gas. So when you put gas in theyd pocket the five bucks. I actually turned around when I realized they did that and they did end up giving me my money back, which sorta surprised me. But that used to be something to watch out for. I haven’t been down in about 10 years.
2nd! Intriguing title! Just getting into life listing outside of herps, this is gr8
I really appreciate these podcast
This is so cool! I appreciate that he really cares about making home made things. I'm making a carbon fiber polespear with a fiberglass core. 14mm OD.
How about the right rubber length calculation for inverted gun?
Very well said
Really awesome breakdown on what to consider when choosing a pole spear. Appreciated.
I'm a newer diver that's been shore diving from Palos Verdes to Malibu a couple times a week since I was PFI certified in august. I am very interested in this topic since finding MalibuArtist's youtube channel. He has an incredible amount of footage of White sharks in the Malibu area, and it blows my mind that so few free-divers recall any encounters. I know they say "they see you before you see them", but it's crazy to think that many very experienced free-divers/spearos report never having seen one. I had one dive at Corral beach in Malibu thinking there would be Kelp (due to a google-earth scouting), and finding myself a few hundred yards out in terrible visibility 30-40ft above kelp-less rocky reef. I was with my dive buddy and I kept feeling like this was not a place to be in conditions that bordered on irresponsible diving. We made a plan to go back to back and head for shore if we saw one. As I get more comfortable in the water I feel like my sense for conditions is often that "it might be better vis deeper". Therefore we swim out blind in dirty water in order to dive at depth just to check conditions. I am not a terribly fearful person, but knowing what I know has made for some real spooky diving! For some reason kelp has made me feel more secure, but it's become apparent to me that the white sharks definitely do cruise the kelp without any issues. Thanks for this clip! I appreciate more talk about the topic as it is important for new divers to hear wisdom from those more experienced.
