      I created the first course after we got really good feedback on our TH-cam videos and tutorials, so after a year of starting the TechWorld with Nana channel. And I started TH-cam channel, after I had become a senior DevOps engineer, and had lots of valuable skills I could share with others, who were going through the same journey as I was 2-3 years before.

    Any books you recommend you have read?

    • @nana-janashia
      @nana-janashia 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      A different book is great for a different stage of life. But 2 classics that are probably valuable for anyone, at whatever stage you are in are: 1. “Think and grow rich” and 2. “how to win friends and influence people”. I read them both when I was a teenager (re-read them later), and they had massive influence on my mindset and thinking.

    I successfully stopped smoking. This was very very hard for me. I tried it several times and failed. At the end I succeeded because I had the underlying why. For me this was to maintain my voice for singing and do not loose vocal range. This motivation was so strong that I never touched a cigarette again.

    But the biggest challenge is how to stay motivated in achieving the goal. Like i have to loose weight but going gym daily is so monotonous n boring specially when there is no one to push/impress...can you throw some light how you are always so motivated🤔

    • @nana-janashia
      @nana-janashia 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You are absolutely right, that's why asking "WHY" you wanna build that habit or achieve that goal is important. You literally need to sit and dig deeper, discover what excites you the most, what gets you going and tie your goals and habits to those. Also know that you only need discipline in the initial phase, once you start exercising regularly, you will start enjoying it so much, that whenever you are not able to work out, you will miss it. Or instead of going to the gym, find a more fun way to exercise, like playing sports, climbing etc, which are not as boring as lifting weights in gym :D But as I said, it all starts with WHY. If you have that, everything else becomes easier.

    What are the online resources for full stack web developer??

    • @nana-janashia
      @nana-janashia 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Honestly, I learned most of software development with TH-cam videos. For web development, the best tech stack would be Javascript frameworks for both frontend and backend. So you can learn ReactJs or VueJs (frontend) and NodeJs (backend) for example. I would highly suggest learning them together, building full end-to-end application, instead of learning frontend and backend in isolation. That's how I teach in our IT fundamentals course, so you understand not only the syntax of frontend and backend framework, but all the integration points, between front and back, but also with database etc, which are the trickiest topics for junior engineers. So I made sure to cover those as well in the course. So if you are looking for free resources, find ones where the demo includes those integrations.

    If I'm distracted, I take a sheet of paper and write down what's on my mind. Then I decide if I should do something with it now or later. Most of the time the answer is later or it's not that important at all. Then I can go back to reading/working without that nagging feeling of something on my mind distracting me.

    Thank you Nana for all you do to help others. One question - would you recommend doing your hack with technical books as well when reading/listening to the book it recommends doing some hands on? Thank you for your time.

    • @nana-janashia
      @nana-janashia หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a great point! Tech is definitely a bit different here, because of things change so fast. What I did, and recommend is reading books that teach concepts, because concepts don't change as often. But if you want to learn a specific technology, books are usually outdated, because by the time the book is completed and published from start to end, there probably have been a few iterations and version updates of the technology. Plus it's really hard to work along code and demo parts in books, especially when they get complex. Digital format is much more suitable for that. So for concepts, sure, for demos less so.
