Where I can find the pattern?
Hi Maria. The pattern is available on the Ravelry website as a pdf download. You can follow this link www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ranunculus-3
Game changer!
Isn't it! Glad we could help
Your blanket looks beautiful. I’ve bought this book to try and make this blanket. Did you use recommended colours or did you choose your own?
That's fantastic! It really is one of the most things I've ever made. I used my own colours and worked it out as I went. That's part of the fun, but if you get one of our yarn kits then we can provide you with the colours I used too.
Love the blocks. Wow. Also your multi-colored sweater is lovely.
Thank you! I loved making them. My cardigan is called Penguono, and it's one of the most fun things I've ever made!
Beautiful Noro 😮
it is lovely isn't it
Love shawl with fringe. Which pattern?
It's the Hipster Shawl by Joji Locatelli
Beautiful yarn. What shop in Ireland?❤
It is absolutely beautiful yarn. The yarn comes from the Life in the Long Grass dye studio which is based in Ireland. Their gorgeous range of yarns are sold through local yarn stores around the world and via their online shop.
Good demonstration! I learnt this method from Hannah Thiessen in her slow knitting book. It’s quite comfortable and easy to manage. Put the starting thread at the base of the thumb, close to the wrist. Holding that thread with the fingers of the same hand begin winding around the thumb. Every 20 or so loops, twist the yarn (already wound onto the thumb) a small distance to the left and continue. When too large to keep on the thumb remove and wind into a ball shape.
Thank you! We're always looking for new ways to make winding easier.

Hi Beautiful Ladies. I just wanted to let you know that I’m unable to like this video (TH-cam feature?)

Thank you! 😊
Looks gorgeous Deb! Cant wait to finish mine. :)
Gorgeous Magnolia Bloom. I think using the lighter shade with the darker worked beautifully. Kind of marbled. Gorgeous.
Thank you so much!
Janine I love your Ranunculus, I have the pattern and yarn but am confused about sizing. All the ones I’ve seen are big and drapy but I’m cute (old) and cuddly (short and chunky 😂😂) so don’t want a big, flowy size. Yours is just how I want mine so how much ease did you allow ❤
Hi Gillian. I knit a size 4 but my gauge was a bit tighter than the pattern called for so I knit the size 4 knowing I wouldn't have as much ease as the pattern said. I'll go and measure the ease on the sweater around the bust and let you know. I'm a 42" bust. Jx
Very nice too! I’m just half way down the yoke on my second Ranunculus.
It's an addictive pattern, isn't it! Hard not to have one in every colour.
💡 💡💡 well WOW !

Beautiful colour and fit.
Thank you. That's very kind of you.
I’m in the US. Yarn details please. It’s beautiful!
Hi Cynthia. The yarn I used is Skein Sisters Romance, a merino / silk fingering weight single ply yarn in the colour Melba. I held it with Sesia Oliver which is a laceweight alpaca blend in the colour blush. You can find both of these yarns on our website: skeinsisters.com.au. We do ship to the US (yay!) but just remember all the prices on our website (including shipping) are shown in AUD. Thanks so much for your lovely comments. Best, Janine x
I have tried the R 3 times. Did you do a gauge watch before you started and then checked what size. People keep saying not swatch and there’s turned out fine. Just confirmation did you swatch before you started. Thank you for answering my question. I am so confused when I try it on after I make the patterns it is perfect then I am lost and stop. Help Alberta Canada ❤
Oh I'm so sorry to hear it's been a challenge to knit this lovely sweater. I absolutely did a gauge swatch and, using the yarns I loved, found my gauge was a bit tighter than the pattern suggested. I decided to make size 4 in the pattern knowing with my tighter gauge would give less positive ease (which was fine - I preferred less ease). I have a 42" bust. I also made the body of the sweater a little longer than the pattern specified. I'm tall and have a long waist and arms. I made the pattern using the narrow neck version and held a fingering weight yarn together with a lace weight fluffy alpaca. I would definitely recommend you do a gauge swatch. Hope that helps and good luck!
@@SkeinSistersit looks fabulous on you 💛. I love the fit too.
@@christinevalentine3373 Thanks so much 🥰

Meraviglioso
Thank you!
That colour on you Deb, is yours. You look fantastic and the jumper looks amazing too.
Thank you, that’s so kind. Had an hour of watching Rupert at swimming lessons today so I’ve been knitting as fast as I can!
Deb I have question for you. I have the same pattern & I'm needing to know what something means . "Knit to yo, resolve yo together with next stitch using ssk ". What does this mean?????
It means to do an SSK using the yo and the next stitch. So slip the yo to the right hand needle, slip the next stitch to the right hand needle, then transfer them back to the left needle and knit together through the back loop. Does that help? Dx
Yea, it’s a beautiful design! I really like Purlificknittetter’s version. For me, an easier way to work out the stitch count for the sleeves is to use your swatch to calculate the stitch count. If you didn’t do a swatch there should be enough stitches in the yoke to calculate the number of stitches to the even number (not a partial number) across 10 centimetres required for the ideal circumference for your arm. Not to worry about row gauge because you can recalculate decreases based on your own arm length or preferred sleeve length. Multiply the even number of stitches in your swatch by the number of centimetres for a comfortable fit and there you have it!
Great idea! Thanks for sharing
Great tips Deb and beautiful sweater. x
Thanks so much Tash 😊
Thank you, for your tips and explanation. I wish I could order your yarn but I never understand rates of postal rates and long wait for the yarn to arrive.
You are so welcome! Where do you live? I might be able to help you make sense of the post rates, etc
@@SkeinSisters I live in Florida, United States
@@carmenguzman7991 That's a lovely part of the world! You can see the postal cost (in AUD) when you get to the check out section on our website, and I wish I could do something about the length of time it takes to get to you! The great thing is that our prices are listed in Australian Dollars, so it's far cheaper for you. For example, our Romance yarn is $29.80 US and Fabulous Sock is $25.90. Let me know if there's anything more I can help you with. Deb

It looks lovely. Such a shame it is constructed to be knit top down. I really hate those. If it was bottom up, I'd buy it and get started right away.😢
I'm sorry about that. I think it would actually be quite hard to design it bottom up with such an intricate pattern. Why do you hate top down? I'd love to know.
