A B'stard (Alan) channel to accompany Tapes2Vids & cassette2vid (please check out the channels), which I've un-ceremoniously forgotten the password to.
rocktape2video, Tapes2Vids & cassette2vid offer audio and video cassettes recorded back in the day and now transferred digitally, with varying results, (expect video and audio playback wobbles intermittently). All Apologies. Cheers!

STATUS QUO - Going Live! - September 1990 - The Anniversary Waltz
มุมมอง 3.6Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Status Quo Going Live! September 1990 Francis Rossi & Rick Parfitt on the UK TV show Going Live! Promoting the Quo single "The Anniversary Waltz" and the Rocking All Over The Years tour. Listen closely and you can just about hear early Quo number "Good Thinking Batman" in the background during the interview with Sarah Greene. Originally recorded on VHS tape. The recording quality is of its time...
I remember Mr Spoons diamond geezer theme, it used to sometimes play when we were on the school bus home. I went off Steve for a long time and then all of a sudden I really appreciated him again when he did his serious jockin' bit on a Friday afternoon, it really gave me that Friday feeling again, I was sad when the BBC let him go and even more sad when he passed. I feel like he'd still be here if he were still on air everyday. Thank you for this nostalgia, it's really good to hear and really good quality. Gary Glitter in London..... We didn't know yet! 🤔
True gold
Freddie would've loved this!
1989 was an odd year for Quo, the album and singles were decent enough for that era, but it was there was lowest chart placement since about 1970?
Is 1990 Quo's commercial peak?
Before it all changed
The last great Queens album?
Annie Lennox was probably the best on the night?
What's He Got? is classic Coxon.
Blurs last great LP?
Angel Of Harlem, U2's greatest song?
Mon dieu Freddie chéri quel souvenir douloureux. J'étais la😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Thank you!
Thank you!
Simon Bates trying to be a bit challenging didn't work. Paul and Linda shone regardless.
They certainly could rock!
Thank you for bringing this back!
That's Billy Shears/William Shepherd; not Paul McCartney.
Still luv ya Brian 🎸
My celebrity crush 😍
I will NEVER forgive Helen Thomas for ending Steve Wrights afternoon show. His life wasnt the same after that and neither was radio, love these 1 clips
I’m still in that traffic jam in Cannock. It never cleared. RIP Steve. Thanks for the laughs.
10:20 - This reminded me of when Barrymore was first on TV (Strike it Lucky?/as a stand up?) and the next afternoon Steve said something sarcastic about this new comedian he'd seen on TV and his catchphrase "Alwight?" seeming familiar (Steve had recently released the song "I'm Alright") - made me laugh to hear he was still carrying on the beef years later. All these facts subject to my dodgy memory
Good but needs pitching up. Shame that the news jingles are airchecked out and not an inch of any music

I met Steve wright he was such a lovely guy he was the biggest dj at the time
Brilliant
Undisputed best DJ ever to be on our Airwaves, BBC didn’t appreciate Wrighty like we did. Rest in peace to the friend of the nation. ❤️
That looks like one of Russ Carvell's caricatures...he did them every week for the pop magazine Number One in those years...
Wonderful memories thank you!
Absolutly brilliant, irreverent, witty, daft, mad show. I loved Steve at the time & it's so sad we will not have the joy of anything new from him. RIP Steve Wright in the afternoon. That's wright!
This is brilliant!! Oh the happy memories 😂
It didn’t matter if you were having a bad day, he lifted you up and made you smile. There will never be another like him
The best!
I like listening to him from when I was 17 in the late 80s and again 4 years ago during the first lockdown
Loved Steve and the Quo , they fitted right into Steve’s style of broadcasting. rip Steve, and Rick both gone far too soon .😢
Brilliant, love the Quo and Steve Wright. RIP Rick and Steve both legends gone too soon!
We're would how society be with out Steve wright in the afternoon and tiswas 👍
I loved Steve Wright in the afternoon. The impressionists were a highlight, especially the Mick Jagger one.
I remember the Mick Jagger impressions
what fantastic entertainment RIP steve thank you for brightening up so many dull workdays
Incredible. I remember this show when it went out. I was listening to it. Stuck in a dismal lousy, low paid slave labour job in a crummy Electronics firm. Steve Wright was the only good thing to look forward to each day. This show was on not long after my 20th Birthday. So much time has passed. I was listening to Tpau, Dire Straits, Eric Clapton and loved All About Eve a great Goth Rock English band, little know, but stunning talent and songs from J Regan and co.... I remember hating the truly terrible remix of of Eve of the War from the War of the Worlds. And this great comic chat with the Quo...Heh...in the company I worked in testing and building amps I often could not hear all the details, due to noise etc, and so this is the first time I have heard the full thing and I remembered most of it like it was yesterday.....so sad to think that he is gone....
He sounds more like Tony Blackburn...
Great memories of looking forward to Steve in the afternoon show , Felt like listening to a great friend or family member RIP Wrighty xx
I remember being in hospital and Steve Wright in the Afternoon show was the highlight of the day, his shows were always extremely entertaining, witty, funny interesting, his music choices, sublime and the velvety tone to his voice give a sort of soothing continuity of reassurance. RIP Steve and thank you for everything x
Ledge. Just hearing his voice takes me back. Priceless. RIP Wrighty
Mr spoons x
The work and hours he put into each show..fab...all the characters ...the pub singer lol. Space aliens they're here. Check up from the neck up. Mr mad raving. He made us all mad..but got us through the rubbish of life..like the miners strike. Fab thanks steve
B4 the world went potty!
Thank you for posting the show. 'It's another true storieeee!' jingle really took me back. Farewell Steve.
I used to like hearing the True Story
R.I.P. Steve Wright.
How a radio show should be 👌👌👌🙌
