I captured a very weird galaxy with no dark matter
This is the Cigar Galaxy, a starburst galaxy approximately 12 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. It is the second-largest member of the M81 Group, with the D25 isophotal diameter of 12.52 kiloparsecs (40,800 light-years). It is about five times more luminous than the Milky Way and its central region is about one hundred times more luminous. The starburst activity is thought to have been triggered by interaction with neighboring galaxy M81.

I captured a remnant of a star explosion which happened more than 1000 years back - Crab Nebula
มุมมอง 1662 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Crab Nebula is a supernova remnant and pulsar wind nebula in the constellation of Taurus. At the center of the nebula lies the Crab Pulsar, a neutron star 28-30 kilometres (17-19 mi) across with a spin rate of 30.2 times per second, which emits pulses of radiation from gamma rays to radio waves. Photographing a Supernova with a small telescope
มุมมอง 3857 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hi everyone, in this video I will show you that you can easily photography Galaxies even with a small refractor telesope. I even caputred a Supernova in the Whirlpool Galaxy which occured last year but back then I was just a beginner and was learning how to "Polar Align" :D
I found the perfect filter drawer (SVBony Filter Drawer) for Askar Narrowband C1 and C2 filters
มุมมอง 7488 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I review the SVBony Filter drawer (SV226) and the new narrowband filters from Askar (Askar Color Magic C1 and C2). I will also show how you can properly attach the filter drawer to your imaging train and achieve the optimal backfocus for your camera. 0:00 Intro to the Askar Narrowband C1 and C2 Filters 2:10 Unboxing the filters 3:30 Unboxing the SVBony Filter Drawer (SV226) 6:40 A...

I found the perfect tripod for AM5. Berlebach Uni18 (www.berlebach.de/de/?bereich=details&id=139) In this video I will show you how to configure and assemble the EQ mount on the Tripod. Subscribe the channel to see Astrophotography videos.
I captured Jupiter with my Telescope
มุมมอง 2310 หลายเดือนก่อน
I pointed my biggest telescope at Jupiter. This beauty is the size if 1300 Earths :O
OMG I literally studied this dwarf galaxy for my master's degree! I always want to see it for myself! And I have one little update for you, this galaxy has recently been proven to have DM halo in it by a 2012 remapping of its rotational curve.
Thank you for the insight :) yes the more advancements we have in technology, the more we discover things :)

nice one, bro! please keep it up, and if possible teach us how to set up our telescopes as you did, I also have a celestron, it's an omni xlt 127mm
Thanks bro, what do you want to know exactly, I will make a video on it :)
@@ZiaAstro cool! I just have this great telescope here but I am a noob in terms of sky pictures, not even moon pictures I do right, if you could do one video showing the baby steps to take nice pictures like that one, tools we can use, or just how one could use its iPhone it would be nice. My current setup here is just the telescope, an 25mm ocular, an iPhone and the dream to take nice sky pictures hehe
@@aureliobuarque192 I would really love to help you but as you dont have the same equipment, it will be difficult and trust me, to photograph planets in detail you need a planetary camera and another camera if you want to capture deep sky. I would suggest, the first basic step is polar alignment and the best software here is to NINA, but do you have a GoTo EQ mount or a manual mount ?
@@ZiaAstro hi, bro! I change the telescope manually using the finder to help me :( So it seems i'm far far away from being able to take nice shots, but that's fine, one day I'll focos on getting proper equipament, and thanks for suggesting this software And keep it up
@@aureliobuarque192 Hey buddy, oh well you need a motorized GoTo scope to take such long exposure pics :( the objects are too far away and too dim that they cannot be manually photographed :( once you get a GoTo mount, I will help you out :)
There is more direct evidence for Bigfoot than dark matter.
Use Interstellar BGM
sure :)
Where did you get the sct adapter that is right after your focal reducer?
Thats the most common SCT Adapter, you can find it everywhere. I got it from Aliexpress, just search for it there :)
Doesnt wood warp?
definitely not, if it was the case, this company would have gone bankrupt LONG ago :D the company is making such tripode for more than 100 years.
@@ZiaAstro just seems an odd choice. But planes made of wood are strong and light i guess
@@jesuschrist2284 Well, keeping in mind the current choices of tripods available for AM5, this is the best one in terms of stability, weight and looks.
Well done on your tutorial ! I have the same set up with the SVBony filter drawer and I have just ordered the Askar c1 and c2 filters. My scope is the Celestron 8 Edge and I'm also using the .7 reducer, so very similar to what you are using. I have only just started down the road to AP this year and have a long way to go but am enjoying the journey. The most intimidating part of this hobby for me is the post processing using software, of which I hope I can get through the learning curve. Anyhow I liked your video and I will subscribe to give you support as I really like what you did here in this video. Cheers and all the best from the high desert of Utah ! ;-)
Hey, thank you so much for your comment, I am happy you found the tutorial helpful :) The filters wont disappoint you, they are good. Oh yea, I guess editing later is a much bugger work compared to the capturing, I use Siril, its a free software and there are many tutorials out there. Cheers :)
Are you still happy with this filter drawer? It looks pretty good for the price. Do you know perhaps what is the diameter of this filter drawer? Can't find it anywhere? Thanks! :)
absolutely, I am more than happy with this one as I didnt spend extra on other filter drawers when this one is more than sufficient and comes with an extra filter holder..It is an M42 filter drawer and I believe it can support any cameras with an M42 connection/ adapter..you can check the exact dimensions here - www.svbony.com/sv226-filter-drawer/#W9184A-F9127A
@@ZiaAstro Thanks for the fast reply! I saw that it's M42/M48, and 21mm length, but I can't see them mentioning the physical diameter of the filter drawer circle. I'm asking because it looks pretty big, and might get stuck into my OAG if it's too big, and since I can't find this into anywhere I'm trying to ask here ^^
@@msacco I think the company must have engineered this keeping OAGs in mind :) I am using a guide scope for now so dont have this issue..but my personal take, I dont think it might be an issue
Great image! :)
Thank you :))
Hello, does this tripod prevents you from adding a counterweight for heavier setups like your C8 when it’s on a horizontal position ?
Hey, I dont think that adding a counterweight would be a problem. It is dependent on the mount, not the tripod.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
thank you!
Nice capture!
thank you!
